This 4 star review is for the cleanliness of the restaurant and the food. The service could have been better. The prices were reasonable as well. It was my family's first time we came in at 5:45 pm on a Sunday. There were maybe 3 tables at most for dine in. We are a family of 6. Our kiddos are 2 and 4 plus our 9 years old twins. The Asian man greeted us when we walked in and sat us down at a table. He had to put two tables together in the corner luckily it was by the window. To be honest he wasn't too friendly from the get go when we walked in but what bothered me was he seemed to be friendly to the other 2-3 tables without kids. He didn't really check on us I had to get his attention to ask for chopsticks. We ordered Chinese food and sushi. I like more ginger with my sushi. When I asked for extra after the server put the food down he didn't seem happy I asked.. ( there was a .50 charge for my small amount of extra ginger) We ordered sushi 6 rolls. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken with broccoli from the regular menu. My triple delight order was from the dinner combo which came with a small cup of soup, the entree and rice for $10. There is a $2 up charge for the lunch meals after 3:30 pm from what I read on the menu. The man asked what kind of soup I wanted and if I wanted an egg roll or a crab puff. I wanted hot and sour soup and an egg roll.Fangs like most places my triple delight came with chicken, shrimp and beef with mixed vegetables. The proteins were all tender and the brown sauce was tasty. My twin daughters actually ate most of my food. They said they liked the beef and shrimp more than the chicken from their chicken and broccoli. The twins had a California roll to share but ended up eating all 8 pieces plus another 4 pieces from my crunchy roll. The rolls here are not big. They have less rice in their rolls from other places in my opinion. I really liked the less amount of rice in the sushi rolls since I am usually watching my carb intake, but my family would have liked more rice. Overall my kids and I enjoyed the food but my husband said it was ok so I am not sure he will return. As for me and my 4 kids we will be back to try more foods and the good prices for lunch specials on sushi. read more

This Little place opened up recently and then COVID-19 came and I had not had a chance to try it. After reading some reviews from a food group that I am in, I decided to do a delivery. Was not disappointed. We ordered orange chicken family pack that came with soup eggrolls and crab Rangoon as well as fried rice. The chicken with white meat, tender and delicious. I also ordered the vegetables and garlic sauce and did chicken lettuce wrap appetizers. Everything was delicious! No pictures because We ate it all up pretty fast. I really enjoyed the crab Rangoon! We ordered the General Tso's chicken, shows that it's hot and spicy, only hot and spicy if you eat one of the peppers in the dish, the sauce was similar to the other sauces, the breading was a little chewy but good. We also ordered the Bourbon chicken with broccoli, the chicken breast was sliced and laid on top of the broccoli the sauce in the bottom of the tray, the chicken was dry, needs to be sliced smaller and served in the sauce. We loved the Honey chicken, was perfect, we also had the veggie fried rice it was good also. My daughter enjoyed the crab puffs, the eggs rolls were good but small. Ordered through doordash for myself and coworkers. Got the chicken noodle soup, hot and sour soup, steamed dumplings, and an order of their egg rolls. Coworker asked to please leave noodles separate from soup so they wouldn't get soggy and they did just that. No one likes soggy noodles! The hot and sour soup was perfect - I'm all about the hot and sour soup! If a restaurant lacks in their hot and sour soup category - I wont go back. Dumplings and egg rolls were also delicious. We came during the ice storm for dinner. We were told that they were short handed due to the current weather conditions which was appreciated and professional. We got the pink lady sushi roll which was tasty and crunchy. A very decent sushi roll but nothing special. Then, we wanted the shrimp spring roll. As you can tell in the picture, one roll is obviously smaller than the other. They ran out of vermicelli on that smaller roll and the peanut sauce just tasted like hoisin sauce. We chose the house special wonton soup which only comes in a large. Everything except the actual wonton tasted decent. The broth was nicely flavored as well as the pork and shrimp. The wonton itself was a different story. There was an extremely large amount of flour to the wonton balls. It was bland and altogether unappealing. If you had wonton soup at Sinh Sinh or Tan Tan than you better skip this dish. Our main dishes were the pad Thai and the broccoli beef. Pad Thai was mildly spicy and limp. It was just okay. I wouldn't order it again though. Broccoli beef served with fried rice was extremely salty. I'm not impressed with these two main dishes. From what I could gather trying a bit of everything, I will come back only for the sushi and skip the rest of the menu. read more

I am very picky with Americanized Chinese restaurants but because they serve sushi and that's what I was craving, my family and I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chicken with mixed Vegetables (came out exactly how I wanted without the carrots or water chestnuts), my husband ordered the Honey Chicken, Shaggy Dog and Spider Hand roll (great size). Everything came out good and the portion was reasonable. I really liked their honey chicken my husband had ordered, he seemed very pleased and had leftovers to take home. My 20 months old baby had a good time and she ate to her fullest. The waitress was very attentive and at the moment when my baby was having a tantrum she came over with skittles to calm her down. That was definitely a bonus. The restaurant itself is very clean, service is good and to my opinion everyone seem friendly. There is a high chance of returning back to Fang's Bistro just because it's not far from home. read more

This bistro is on the corner of Barker Cypress and Longenbaugh. I went with my husband because I heard great things. My husband ordered the Steam Dumpling and Egg Drop Soup and I ordered the small Wonton Soup. The soups were great - not too salty and the dumplings were a little large than what I am used to but that's ok with me!! For our meal we shared the the Triple Delights that came with Shrimp, Chicken and Beef - everything was spot on - the meats were very, very tender and the cuts of vegetables ( carrrots, broccoli, boch choi and something that look like mini potatoes but I think maybe some sort of cresent-type) all were delicious and the actual meal surprisingly was enough for 2 people. we also ordered the Salmon Sushi (not the sushimi - there is a difference we found out). It was delictable - cut very fine and served on top of what tasted like saffron rice - maybe jasmine along with marinated ginger slices. I used to enjoy this spot. I live in the area. I have frequented Fangs a lot. However today my to go order was picked up by someone else. I had to wait for 7 minutes while the employee called the manager. The management did my consider my inconvenience at all and I had to wait for food to be remade and pay full price after explaining a small children in the car. I've had a similar experience with a complimentary egg roll being an issue. I want the business to prosper but customer service is poor. They kept saying it wasn't their fault. :( read more

I live really close to this place so I decided to try them out. I got one of the triple meals that had shrimp, beef, and chicken. It was like 15$ and the food was not worth it. This place is so close to the house on Barker Cypress but kind of hard to see if headed south. I slipped in after the dinner rush in the hope that service would be quick and indeed it was. Started with the spicy garlic edamame that was gently wok seared instead of the traditional steamed. Fantastic option for small upcharge. The spicy tuna roll was solid as was the miso soup. I really enjoyed the chicken lo mein but could have done without the cabbage or lettuce that was stir fried along with the other tender ingredients. It was still good the second day as leftovers. Their menu is broad enough without being overwhelming and with plenty of Chinese, sushi, appetizer options. One of the best parts is that it is very reasonably priced all day. The General Tso chicken was made with dark meat chicken and some of the pieces didn't even seem to have any meat, just breading. The beef in the beef fried rice was gray and did not look to be cooked. The moo shoo was delicious! The kids meal was a standard frozen food item. They must have baked it because the fries and nuggets weren't crispy. My husband got the bourbon chicken. It was good as well. His only complain about his meal was there was a very small serving of rice to go with the meal. We would will be back for sure. This place has me stumped, that's why I'm giving it 3 stars. The restaurant is very clean and looks nice on the inside. I was seated quickly, the Dr pepper was borderline flat with just enough carbonation to not be gross. I ordered the Lunch special Gen. Tso chicken, and chose the wonton soup. The Soup came out first and tasted ok even though it looked like a dumpling in water. The General Tso plate came out soon after. The chicken is pretty good quality: no gristle or tendon just white meat. It is smothered in sauce, it Would be fine with about half the amount. The rice portion was a bit small. Less chicken and more rice would have been ok. The egg roll tasted fine. With a few minor tweaks this place could really put a hurting on the cypress Chinese food competition which sucks. read more

Fangs is a go to that close to home. I enjoy their large menu with lots of options from Chinese plates to sushi. While it is slightly more expensive than most Chinese places, it is a beautiful dine-in spot with a super friendly staff. I like their orange chicken, I wish it had more spice. I have been a local of fang's for ages. It is my number one place to go for Chinese in the area. I would strongly recommend the beef broccoli. They have an amazing sauce it the beef just melts on the tongue. They must have a professionally trained chef in the back because the food is consistently amazing. The wait staff is great.
