The experience was amazing. They were bringing drinks back to back and the mimosas were wonderful. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I honestly left in such a good mood and had a great time. You are definitely paying for an experience here, and that part cannot be beat. As for the durability, my nails did start to lift after nine days. I had some lifting on two nails, and my sets usually last me a full month. I also noticed they did not feel as hard as my Gel X normally does. The tips felt like they had a little bend to them, which I am not used to. So are they the best nails I have ever had? The massage chairs were comfy, new, and relaxing. Some massage chairs at salons are too aggressive or painful. These chairs were not that! They also have custom "table top" platforms that allow the mani to be done while in the chair getting the pedi done. Other salons I've visited just have a pillow. We walked feeling refreshed and grateful for not only the space and time we got to spend together but also the staff that really worked at making sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time while in their care. Oh how on point my Yelp Elites was on this! Not only was they on point, but I met friends for life. I was really impressed by their 5 star consistent rating and actually photo's up to date photos. Rudy's nail salon isn't anything fancy to look at on the outside nor on the inside but God's Angels sure resides there. Who wouldn't want to visit a place where angels chill at :) How my friend and I know? We were touch by them. We were walk-in's and sadly disappointed when Jenny asked if we could come back in 3 hrs. 3 HOURS?! We both agreed it would be to our benefit because the salon felt so warm and inviting. We respected the honesty that Jenny gave us, her honest response was they couldn't take us at that time 1. Don't tell us "30 minutes" and the wait be 1 1/2 hrs ( yall know that's how they do). #2. Respect the next appointment scheduled, people have stuff to do. #3. Don't rush through our service because you wanna make a dollar and slop up our toes (men have feet fetishes, we both single soooo). REAL talk! Upon our return, our techs was waiting on us. They took their time, made sure we liked our colors, chiseled our calluses and made sure we were completely satisfied with service rendered. The nail salon is old school, they still use Wide Rule tablets and pencils at least that cuts down on overhead prices which passes down to the customers. Shellac nail polish take off is on $5 and shalac polish $7 ( I think) all VERY old school prices. I had a broken toenail to replace was only $5 and my tech built me a new toenail free hand. NOT all techs can do that, I usually tell techs to put a fake nail because I want both toes to match they MUST look flawless. We was so happy with our service that my good friend returned 2 days later for a manicure. It included a warm and weighted neck pillow (so so relaxing) and a warm rock massage on your legs (also very relaxing). On the VIP Pedicure, it stated it also included paraffin wax in which we did NOT receive. As I browsed the menu, I also saw that they offer complimentary drinks (wine for 21+ and soft drinks). We also did NOT receive any complimentary drinks.. After my pedicure was complete, Sy offered a manicure (nice upscale lol) I accepted as I was already relaxed and needed the extra time relaxing alongside my friend. I got the classic manicure with clear polish. I was happy with the results from both the manicure and pedicure. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely come back as I truly enjoyed the relaxing warm stone massage and warm weighted neck pillow. These items truly made the experience unique and relaxing. I'm leaving with a white glitter tip that isn't properly aligned and isn't gel set. And this took 1.5 hours. First and foremost, he filed my skin numerous times. I'd say at least 10 times I jerked quickly away and said ouch EVERY time but it didn't stop him. Then when he laid the pink glitter it was super transparent. There was a language barrier so he wasn't understanding that I was asking for a pink base underneath so the pink glitter wouldn't be transparent. He was bringing over other people to try to help but there was equally a language barrier. The person who could help translate was also answering the phone and checking out customers so I was left just sitting here frustrated and unable to communicate about it. I finally settled for white because I'm upset, trying not to cry, and I'm feeling like I'm wasting my money. Which may seem like not a big deal but spending money on nails I don't like to only have to go to my regular place to pay money to have them taken off and put back on again the right way is ridiculous. So I won't be back. Not even for my eyebrows anymore. Today is my last day. And while the gentleman who checked me out did offer to help fix it I had already been here over an hour and a half. The first red flag was that my pedicure was done before the other 3 women who obviously was not only there before me but was well into their pedicure. I addressed my concern with the technician about the visible dead skin on both of my feet. No apology, just stated that I need to come there every 2 weeks. Before leaving the establishment, I also spoke to the owner/manager about the unsatisfactory service I received. She looked at my feet and again stated that I need to come there every 2 weeks. Little do they know, my feet are done more often than every 2 weeks because I do have Hashimoto's disease and suffer from dry skin daily, (I just don't come to their shop every 2 weeks). My main problem is that neither the technician or owner/manager had any concern about me being a UNHAPPY, PAYING customer nor did they offer any rectification of the obvious problem that could have been an easy fix. The 2 ladies that I enjoyed are no longer here and it showed in my manicure and toe nail polish change. Im very particular about my grooming services, as we all are.
