I have been a customer of Global Nail since they first opened, mainly because they are conveniently located just minutes from my home. The nail technicians have always been friendly, but as I mentioned in a previous review, their pricing seems inconsistent and can change without explanation. Today, I went in for a powder full set and a pedicure. I asked for my nails to be slightly longer than the very short length I usually get. Both technicians were pleasant, although they repeatedly tried to upsell additional services, which I politely declined. My powder full set is normally $45, but today I was charged $48. When I asked if prices had increased, the cashier said no. I received a 10% discount and redeemed 260 reward points for an additional $10 off, totaling $17 in discounts. Later, when I reviewed my receipt, I noticed a $3 charge for "extra length." I was confused because my nails were only slightly longer than usual. I called the salon, and the employee explained that the charge was because my nails were considered long. I told her I wasn't looking for a refund, but I would stop by so she could see the length in person. When I returned, she again stated that my nails were long enough to justify the extra charge. I didn't argue, but I let her know I would be sharing my experience in a review. This is not my first issue with the salon. On Christmas Eve, Sam (one of the twins) did my nails, and the results were very poor. Instead of properly fixing the problem, he tried covering it with a sticker. I paid and left because I was too frustrated to deal with it that day. The day after Christmas, I returned and another technician corrected the work. The experience felt personal because Sam had done my nails before, and while my tips may not be huge, I always tip. I had a mani/pedi. The pedi was great! As far as the manicure there was no hand soak, no massage, and she just trimmed a couple of cuticles. She did a great job applying the dip polish but everything else was lacking The owner responded that I requested a Solar Nails Powder which did not include those services! What? A lot of rushing during the scheduled services which resulted in skewed, chipped paint, and just a generally botched manicure/pedicure. The water during the pedicure was cold immediately on your feet, then warmed up to only lukewarm- maybe the hot water at the salon wasn't working. The simple pedicure you can get was extremely similar to the upgraded pedicures, except the pricing, although the services they say you get on paper say you get numerous extras. I got the "upgraded" one, but wasn't sure it was much more than the basic pedicure besides extra money. Using wet, cold towels to wipe off lotion on my legs was also strange, usually you see warmed up towels for this. I'd have not minded a dry towel instead of a wet, cold one to be honest. Unfortunately following this, the nail polish on my toes was chipping away the next day from my pedicure. Manicure: My fingers have several tiny cuts from them filing my skin with the nail file. My nails have several bubbles throughout them. Even when pointed out, they just put a layer of clear polish over the nails, which didn't help the bubbles. I haven't been to get my nails done in so long, so this was extra disappointing. It was several hours before close time, not one other customer was present so it wasn't busy, but they were so rushed with everything like it was a burden I was there. So, you can imagine how difficult it was to try the new nail salon that popped up in my area...especially after being a loyal customer of another nail salon for the past 7+ years, one of which is now 45 minutes from my home . I'm not normally one who is impressed with all the "extra" stuff that some nail salons offer. At the end of the day, I want to make sure my nails are done well! 4th and last time!!! I wanted find a nail salon close to home for my convenience so I decided to give this place a try. My first experience was in September, my birthday and anniversary month. Horrible experience! I asked for white dip over my nails, oval shaped. By the time the technician finished my nails they had a light pink color to them, I politely asked him did the color look pink to him and he said no. When I went to checkout I asked the lady at checkout the same thing, she agreed and noticed the pink she did not charge me and asked me if I could come back and she could redo them. I agreed and came back on a Tuesday that week. She beautified my nails and gave me exactly what I asked for, I paid for the service. My next visit no problem dip on my nails. My 4th visit horrible nightmare! I decided to do dip on my nails and a pedicure. The same technician that trashed my nails on my first visit was giving my pedicure. I should have asked for another tech but I thought to myself he could not mess up a pedicure. Little did I know.... He started the pedicure everything was ok, brought out the "cheese grader thing" and cut me by my big toe. I said sir you cut me and he replied no cut. Of course I was not bleeding but I could feel the burning and see the discrepancy in my skin. He attempted to proceed with scrub and paraffin wax. I had to tell him no scrub or wax because I am burning from a cut. I asked him to just polish please. I left and paid. I thought it would heal ok, this happened beginning of November, it is after Thanksgiving and I'm still trying to heal this cut. Go to this place at your own risk I just wanted to share my experience. Coming from a healthcare professional, this place is no good! I am informing all of my coworkers, patients and case managers. Absolutely love this place! When I first walked in I wish on hospitality and compassion. Me and my mom were seated very quickly and given our complementary drinks. My nails usually take about two hours to do but this was done within an hour and more perfect than I can ever imagine. Ok they're really sweet here and have great customer service. However, the last time I went I asked the women to cut my toe nails straight across and she did not. She cut my big toes down too far with a curved clipper, causing ingrown nail on BOTH sides of my big toes. I was hoping they would resolve within a couple weeks, it's been 5 and my toes still hurt and I can't wear closed toed shoes. I finally had to make an appt with a podiatrist. read more

You know... my family has enjoyed coming to a nail salon that has clean and bright decor. We have been coming since they've opened. We used to enjoy the fact that the service was impeccable, however as of yesterday (10/23/22) that has proved to changed. Paying $115 for our services (prior to tipping) SHOULD NOT include being openly bashed by one of the employees. It was actually quite shocking for others and myself- as we all kind of stayed silent when the first comment was made. It's common to say that when being a patron to certain business' you may be exposed to other languages (which is an amazing thing, in my opinion). However, when you *know* the language yourself and can confirm that what is being said is rude/bashing/unflattering it makes $115 seem like an utter WASTE. Will no longer be coming back. If you don't mind spending your hard earned money to be trash talked "secretly" by an employee while trying to feel pampered then by all means, patronize this business at your own risk. It is very unbecoming, and unfortunate, as this one unprofessional employee has affected the image and character of the entirety of your team and salon. Correct the behavior or continue to let it happen. Continuing to let it happen is just the same as partaking in the bashing. It is equally unfortunate as a customer because you either stay silent, as they are in the middle of a service (that YOU are paying them for) or speak up and have to deal with that unsightly interaction. I am very disappointed as this was truly the best around... the work done on your nails, the environment, and amenities DO INCLUDE your employee's behavior and it cannot be overlooked or ignored that I had to listen to derogatory things about my visit AS it was happening. My husband and I went to get a pedicure and a manicure today . Although we loved the timely manner they got it done in and they did both the hands and feet at the same time ; the outcome was careless . The excess polish on my fingers did not get cleaned off , my pedicure was supposed to come with a hot towel and I did not get that . My husbands foot got cut by his big toe and when we got home we seen bleeding in the crease of his toe . My nail polish got slight red thread in it and it dried so it's stuck in there . They also cut me and my husbands nails a too close to skin on both hands and feet . The white tip wasn't great so I had to settle for all white . Do not get me wrong , their manners were very great, they offered us complimentary drinks and had slight conversation. I just feel like they could've been paying more attention to these things . We did end up tipping everyone still because we are generous and did not have any hard feelings but it is definitely a first and last. The "Open" sign was still ON when I walked in & was told I was not going to be serviced. The last time I was there they took someone 10 min before closing. Very disappointed.
