From the moment we walked in the door, Chase at the front desk greeted us warmly and was helpful in the process of picking out the packages we wanted. Then my sister and I received mani/pedi's from Angie, Terra, Teresa & Lee who did a fantastic job. Making sure to check in with us about the shape and length we wanted, and continued to check-in throughout the mani & pedi. They were patient as it took us 17 business days to pick out a color (haha!). The environment was clean and beautiful - IMO the atmosphere of a salon can add or take away from the spa experience and this space definitely elevated the enjoyment of our time @ Onyx Nail Bar! The massage chairs were comfy, new, and relaxing. Some massage chairs at salons are too aggressive or painful. These chairs were not that! They also have custom "table top" platforms that allow the mani to be done while in the chair getting the pedi done. Other salons I've visited just have a pillow. We walked feeling refreshed and grateful for not only the space and time we got to spend together but also the staff that really worked at making sure we thoroughly enjoyed our time while in their care. Nice and bright open floor. Very clean and staff are very nice. I was set up with Tracy (crazy Tracy) and I was pleased. She is hilarious and has been in the game for 14 years so I knew I could trust her. She does not use the uv lights and I was pleased to hear that. They make my hands look much older than my face. I am really disappointed in the way this salon is running now. When I first started going here back in September/October of last year, the service was impeccable! I would get a refill on my acrylics once a month for at least 6 months straight. Then I started to notice the nail techs would leave and the ones available would do my nails and I hated how they came out so I eventually stopped getting acrylics and only got pedicures. I took my daughter to get her first pedicure a few months ago and she loved it! They did the gel polish, she got the uv light over her feet and she couldn't wait to come back. Fast forward to today, I didn't know which box to check upon arrival so I asked the lady at the desk if I choose the gel polish for kids or the pedicure (I couldn't remember). There was clearly a price difference in the selections- $15 or $18 for the gel polish or $25 for the pedicure. She told me to choose the pedicure since it comes with the water so I chose that one for her. It's my fault for not confirming if the pedicure indeed came with the gel polish right? At the end, my daughter said "mom, I didn't get the light thing on my feet!" So I then realized I need to ask. When I asked, the nail tech doing my pedicure said it was regular polish, that it would've cost more for the gel... in my head I'm like "I literally asked which do I choose, gel or pedicure?" so you would think the lady knew I was wanting gel if I'm asking. But maybe that's just me. They place a fan on her feet and they check if they're dry and they say yes, put her shoes on and we left. As soon as I get home, we take her shoes off and the polish has completely rubbed off on her toes. Not only that, I then realized the nail tech who did my pedicure didn't even use the pumice stone block to help with the dead skin on my feet. So all in all I feel played by this salon. Enjoyed my visit. The nail techs were good and they did a great job. I was a little disappointed that they added $5 to shorten my nails for my refill which was already $42. Nowhere does it mention an additional fee. Also it seems reasonable that you will have to shorten your nails slightly when doing a refill. Seems unnecessary to charge extra. I do love the color and the shape. The table board thing that goes across the legs is different. When my legs are on the pedicure step the board lifts up. read more

I'm always offered a drink when come and i'm constantly being checked on. ai don't always get to get nails because my job doesn't allow it but i got my birthday set here (i'm a simple girl i don't ask for a lot) and i absolutely love what they gave me here. This was my first time getting a set here and honestly it was much needed! When i was walking out the host stand asked to see my nails and something about that just made me so happy. My girlfriend and I went to Onyx Nail Bar Brazos (7627 Town Center Blvd, Rosenberg, TX) to get our nails done. Before I even had a chance to request our services, I politely asked the front desk whether my girlfriend could use the restroom because she urgently needed to go. The man with short hair and blonde highlights looked both of us over and, with hesitation in his voice, flatly said: "No." He offered no explanation or alternative solution--not even a quick mention of a restroom policy--just refused service on a basic human need. We left immediately. Being denied something as fundamental as restroom access was deeply uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcome. For that reason, we refused to proceed with any services. It's shocking and upsetting that such a reputable‑looking salon--one that touts its amenities, cleanliness, and customer service--would refuse even basic decency. Reviews praise the salon's hygiene and ambiance but this incident made it impossible to trust their staff's compassion or professionalism. Onyx Nail Bar Brazos, please consider updating and training staff on respectful restroom policies. This is my second experience here where I am not satisfied. I got builder gel and my nails are still flimsy, messy paint job. Top coat doesn't cover the whole nails/ bubbles on top coat. There are 2 different French nail designs on my hand. As well as my toe nail being filed crooked. 2 solid nails , 2 frenchie and 1 squiggle line design cost me an extra $25 when French design on every nail cost $20. Very disappointed read more

Instead of resolving the issue, they got a lil defensive, dismissive, and now they're publicly trying to twist the story and paint me as the problem and I need to show this because this is a first this has EVER happened to me in the all the years I've gotten my nails done to reach a point I had to write a review. I never bashed anyone's business. I called this salon beforehand and CASUALLY explained I've been going to a new "high end " salon for 2 months & each different time giving them the benefit of the doubt but I no longer wanted to take my chances. Saying I didn't have an appointment is bold when I asked for availability FIRST. I don't like to just pop in anywhere because I don't like waiting. You're so bold for saying I waited by choice is outrageous. Why would I want to sit at a nail salon for 2 hours BY CHOICE after a 9 hour shift? Have I known it was gonna take that long and go through all this i would've definitely kept my business elsewhere . The nail tech absolutely did NOT finish in 45 minutes. The work was nowhere near worth $80 either but this ain't about the price. Claiming the designs were "really good" when they were taken off multiple times? THATS dishonest. Yall never saw nail techs designs! Chase literally said "I wish we would've seen it" So I know yall don't even double check facts before jumping on here to shoot a response. How can you say something was good when you don't know what it looked like. I waited for that call. It never came. (Till after my Google review ) Instead, you're online yelling about how I "refused" a receipt. When I NEVER GOT ONE! Be for real. By the way that was not an itemized receipt they could not offer me one instead they showed me a store copy of what was charged. No credit card info. Y'all have some nerve to sit here and change a whole narrative and the response tells me everything I need to know about how you run your business. I had a great visit at the new Onyx Nail Bar. Such a convenient location- it's around the corner from Target on Town Center Blvd. Everyone was welcoming and the space is beautiful, large, clean and bright. Services are 30% off right now and they offer you a choice of a complimentary drink with a refill from their beverage bar. I had a lovely manicure with Jenny, who is very gentle, and a wonderful pedi from Tammy who gives a mean leg massage. I mean, gurl, I was bouncing around like I was 2 for the rest of the day!
