This time, however, made me view the salon and management differently. I showed the nail technician a photo of red chrome nails with the middle two nails having red French tips, which would be my Valentine's Day nails. She told me she could do it. I even left the photo up on my phone for some time so that she can reference it, if needed. As I saw her painting the red French tips, I informed her that they were a different shade of red from the other nails. She showed me the two products (gel and powder) and that they are the same shade number. I proceeded to let her finish as I thought that the end results may be different. It was not. She then added the "chrome" finish. I told her that it wasn't shiny at all nor looked like chrome and had a pearlescent finish instead. She told me that it was very popular with clients. She absolutely disregarded what I was saying to her. She also cut my skin while running the drill alongside my cuticles. At this point, the manager entered the conversation. I showed him the picture and he told me that the photos found online for inspiration "all have filters on them." He pretty much sided with the technician and saw no wrong. They both then told me to go wash my hands and see how the nails look in the sun. I did so and saw no difference from when I was seated at my chair. I was baffled that the manager could not see what was wrong. He did not offer to rectify the situation. I even asked for another type of coat that would make my nails shiny. They could not offer that to me for whatever reason. I clearly walked out with hideous nails. Even if I find someone who can replicate a photo here, the management alone would be reason not to go here. I paid for my service here out of respect for their time, but will not be returning and I urge others to do the same. Please see the photos I have provided.

Unfortunately, my experience didn't match the level of service I was expecting. During my manicure, the nail polish had become thick, and the technician added liquid to the bottle before applying it. By the very next day, both my manicure and pedicure were already chipping and peeling. I was also concerned about the cleanliness. My hand was rested on an old plastic container, and the soaking/dipping bowl appeared to be a mortar-style bowl rather than standard salon equipment. Combined with visibly dirty towels, I had concerns about sanitation. The staff was kind and welcoming, which is why this is difficult to write. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because I think the people are wonderful, but the cleanliness and quality of the service need improvement.

I've gone every Saturday for each appointment pre-purchased and Tony was the guy who did the mani/pedi. He's the only reason I visit. Today the manager stated I'm not allowed to use the Groupons on Saturdays. Nowhere does it say that. I "must come during the week." I work hours away and can't make it before they close. I don't recommend this place on the quality of manicure and pedicure alone. My mani looked like I used Color Street nail stickers and didn't stretch it all the way to the edge of the nail bed. Cannot recommend, would not recommend, regret ever trying out this business. They lack the class and customer service skills that too many other better nail salons & establishments possess in the Katy area. Do not pass go, do not collect $100. Wait for the dice to roll in a game of Jumanji versus Monopoly on this one. Sleep on it, don't wake up to catch the worm, don't expect anything but mediocrity and you'll be alright. They did not nail it.
