The experience was amazing. They were bringing drinks back to back and the mimosas were wonderful. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I honestly left in such a good mood and had a great time. You are definitely paying for an experience here, and that part cannot be beat. As for the durability, my nails did start to lift after nine days. I had some lifting on two nails, and my sets usually last me a full month. I also noticed they did not feel as hard as my Gel X normally does. The tips felt like they had a little bend to them, which I am not used to. So are they the best nails I have ever had? NOT all techs can do that, I usually tell techs to put a fake nail because I want both toes to match they MUST look flawless. Today, I went in for a powder full set and a pedicure. I asked for my nails to be slightly longer than the very short length I usually get. Both technicians were pleasant, although they repeatedly tried to upsell additional services, which I politely declined. My powder full set is normally $45, but today I was charged $48. When I asked if prices had increased, the cashier said no. I received a 10% discount and redeemed 260 reward points for an additional $10 off, totaling $17 in discounts. Later, when I reviewed my receipt, I noticed a $3 charge for "extra length." I was confused because my nails were only slightly longer than usual. I called the salon, and the employee explained that the charge was because my nails were considered long. I told her I wasn't looking for a refund, but I would stop by so she could see the length in person. When I returned, she again stated that my nails were long enough to justify the extra charge. I didn't argue, but I let her know I would be sharing my experience in a review. This is not my first issue with the salon. On Christmas Eve, Sam (one of the twins) did my nails, and the results were very poor. Instead of properly fixing the problem, he tried covering it with a sticker. I paid and left because I was too frustrated to deal with it that day. The day after Christmas, I returned and another technician corrected the work. The experience felt personal because Sam had done my nails before, and while my tips may not be huge, I always tip. Unfortunately, between the inconsistent pricing and past service issues, I have decided not to return to this business. Are these nails long enough for an extra charge?
