For the past year, I've been getting my nails done every three weeks and I love the work they do!

They charged me $100 for my nails techs nails and that was a "fill" took two hours and my nails are uneven.

Had a great first experience at Fancy Nails. My oldest daughter wanted a full set (first one ever!) and she was smitten with the results. My youngest wanted a little Hello Kitty design . I wasn't sure they could do it since her nail beds are so short! But they were able to make it happen for her. Staff was very attentive, professional and the service was fairly priced. Great service took my daughter here on New Year's Eve. The place was packed, but we didn't have to wait. They accommodated us and we were in and out in a timely fashion. I was very impressed. Yes, the place could use a little updating but what place doesn't it was very clean and was very happy and we will be coming back from now on this will be our new place.! read more

See pictures... 1 star for effort! They appear to be moving or closing everything is packed in bins. No polish on the wall , no music, no tv. Everything is very worn down. The manicurist was pleasant. Mostly talking to another girl across the room. None of this I particularly care about. The manicure is NOT good. I went for a mani pedi. I work and have short nails. Took my daughter for a pedicure & manicure. Paid for the deluxe pedicure which included a massage. we really didn't receive a massage, it was a quick scrub and felt very rushed. There were many people waiting to be serviced, some who had appointments and some who didn't. The staff was preoccupied and kept looking at the back up. We had appointments but we felt very rushed. I would give zero stars if I could. my daughter has been in there several times now and the last three or four have been terrible. she schedules an appt each time but when she gets there they often leave her her sitting for thirty minutes or more before taking her and when she's done she's unhappy, but the techs are too rude to her that she's afraid to say anything. Today they left her sitting for 35 minutes then after taking her over to get started, told her to move because another girl, who had just walked in the door, was going to get her nails done first. The service is beyond terrible and the quality of some of the techs not very good. I told her that cheaper is not better if they treat you badly and do a crappy job. I want to give them 2.5 stars, because I'm 50/50 on how I feel right now. The very first time I ever went in there, the lady I believe is the owner did my nails. She did a perfect job, although I was quoted one price and it increased a couple times. Satisfied I went back a couple times having "meh" experiences each time. Not enough to complain about, but slightly underwhelming. This last time was review worthy, because the person doing my nails sat in my face and while looking at me- proceeded to talk about me to the girl sitting behind as she laughed and looked on. I'm still learning the language, but it was petty comments from what I could gather. It was so rude that it was slightly alarming. The only nice one is the lady who does pedi's all the way in the corner. I'm not sure how I feel about going back to pay for services plus tip well for ppl that rude. I loved this place when first opened. Then one day I had to wait for over 20 minutes. When one of the nail techs came in he said be with you in a minute. I said oh I thought so and so was going to do my nails. It was confusion and he said you want him then you wait and stormed off. I did not care who did my nails they told me the other guy was going to do them. It seemed really unprofessional and I have enough drama day to day, don't need nail technicians drama. I don't know why I kept going back... they were always busy and I thought that meant something.. but my experiences from the beginning no matter who the nail tech was, was always awful. One time they used the filing tool and burned through my nail then told me it was my fault... I've been cut so many times I can't even keep track anymore And my last three visits I've had at least one nail break every time.. (I get gel sets) I brought my friend here so we can have a girls day together.. and the guy did her nails and walked away... never came back to use the acetone to take away the stickiness.. no hot towel or lotion.. just left and went to the next customer.. Terrible job! Asked for Acrylic pink and white ombre set with a marble accent nail and got a tree branch! all the nail edges are jagged, uneven with acrylic burrs hanging off! The set was supposed to be longer but she cut them down too much. I ended up fixing it all myself the best I could when I got home! Also, she OVERCHARGED ME! I was told $80 before starting and ended up paying $98 (not realizing untill I seen my credit card statement). My advice.....Don't waste your time or money! 100% go somewhere else! read more

Went with a friend this past week and we had a great experience. Both of our technicians were extremely friendly, flexible and understanding of our requests. My friend asked for a Halloween design which the worker delivered on happily, and they came out adorable. My nails (pictured here) came out beautifully and so far I've had no issues with chipping or anything of the sort. Today was by first day back in CT after moving out of state. I'm celebrating my 21st so my mom and I decided to get our nails done and we wanted to try a new salon. When we were greeted, it felt as though we were being rushed during the color picking process. My mom got a gel mani + pedi and I got an acrylic full set with gel polish. My moms experience was fine but mine on the other hand wasn't the best I've ever had. The nail tech seemed to be rushing through my nails and as well as she didn't seem fully trained on how to a full set in general. My cuticles were not pushed back or cut and she accidentally painted my knuckle with the polish (which she never removed - see attached pictures) although I am not a nail tech, usually when acrylic is applied....it is thinned out towards the tip of the nail to make it look as realistic to an actual nail as possible. But instead, a thick block of acrylic was placed on the entire nail. At first I was very nervous, but I let her continue to give her the benefit of the doubt. Towards the end she did file it down to thin out the tips. The only problem with this method is that it causes over filing and we lose the shape of the nail ( as shown in pictures). I have really wide nail beds so over filing is a huge risk and can compromise the whole look of the nail. She was a little rough with the file causing some blood but it's happened before so I'm not so concerned. Lastly, they end your mani with a lotion massage and they use bath and body lotion. A personal opinion....DONT USE FRAGRANCED LOTIONS ON CUSTOMERS WITHOUT PERMISSION! These lotions gives me bad rashes as I have eczema. She slapped that stuff on before I could even say no. I feel as though all salons should have hypoallergenic lotions for their clients. In conclusion, some people like this place but for me however I will not be returning. read more

Where do I start? ... DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON ! I came here for a fill and a pedicure my pedicure was awful and I kept telling him to avoid one of my toes MULTIPLE time but he kept picking at it and painted on my skin after I asked him not to! Then my fill took 2 hours on top of all that my nails didn't even come out nice and the color is not red and black hombre . The guy talked back to me. I could go on and on. But really I will not be coming back to this place . Came here for the very first time on Mother's Day. My mother and I got a manicure and pedicure and did gel on both. The technicians took their time and weren't rushed at all. They pedicure was great they got all the dead skin off around my toes and scrubbed the bottom of my feet well. It was very relaxing, they were kind and I definitely consider this my new nail spot moving forward. I highly recommend it. Tom was great! I don't normally write bad reviews but this is called for. I called before I went there they said come in its going be a twenty minute wait. I got there 1145am I didn't leave until 217pm. To make it worst not only did I wait along time but was also over charged I was told 40 for a new set of tips and 10 got gel polish. I left there paying $65 for crooked nails my hand had polish all over them. Under my nails not cleaned. Access acrylic under my nails. Arguing how the design looks. When she has a picture right in front of her. Tried to charge me any extra ten for a silver line. The Uber fryer felt like it hasn't been clean in god know when grit sticking under my fingers. They bounce me to three different chairs one person got my nail polish one place the tips on another filed and shape my nails.then had the nerve to charge me tax on top of the $65 and say if I want to add tip. Are you serious. No matter how desperate I need my nails done. Will I ever go back there. Very unprofessional. And dishonest place. They rush the job trying to do multiple clients at once. I had such an amazing experience at this location. At first I was contemplating if I should go or not to this location because of the reviews I had read from previous clients, but I am so happy that I had gone there to experience it myself today. When I walked into the salon this morning I was greeted immediately by the lady (dark green top) I was their first customer of the day. We went right into what I had shown her -a nail inspiration picture that I wanted done. As I was sitting getting ready to get my nails done by the lady in the (dark green top) the other workers had also walked in and I was also being greeted by them as well. I felt as if I had been a long time customer of theirs for years, I felt comfortable and the experience there was great. As I was in the process of getting my nails done the lady who was working on them was very experienced -she took her time and didn't rush through them (the last time I had gotten my nails done at another salon it wasn't close to the nail inspiration that I showed her. I wasn't happy with the outcome that's why I was looking for another salon) I had also told her what shaped I wanted and she did just what I asked for. I'll be coming back again! I've been going here for years and never really had any major problems with them. They've consistently been rude to customers in my time knowing them. But my mother and I absolutely love Vivian so we've continued to go. Last time I went (about a month ago), I had made an appointment with Vivian but when I got there I was passed off to someone else because Vivian was with another customer. This new girl was gentle and nice but she kept switching between me and another customer doing her nails then mine, back and forth. She did a terrible job with my nails although I gave her reference pictures with the simple French designs. After a week, the gel on my acrylics was peeling off and my nails were lifting. I was super unhappy and decided to take my nails off myself where I found that my natural nails were discolored. When I told my new nail tech he explained that most likely the acrylic didn't dry correctly which caused moisture to discolor my nails and make it harder for the gel polish to stay on, hence the peeling. Unfortunately I will not be giving them any more chances. read more

Completely inconsistent. I've had uncountable gel manicures in my life and this place is completely luck of the draw. The atmosphere is a 3 at best, which I don't mind if my nails look amazing when I leave. After 5 trips here (only bc tips n toes is booked) I will honestly not return. I will say that there are nail techs here worth a 4. I've had times that I'm super happy. However, the other half I am appalled. Today was specifically unpleasant, but not out of the norm. I literally had to take the file out of the Tech's hand today and do his job myself. The person I was with had a full set put on beautifully in less time than it took me to get a gel manicure... by probably 30 minutes...bottom line is get your shit together...there literally couldn't be more shops in town doing what you do. read more

I wanted to like this place I really did, but time and time again their work is sloppy. In two weeks 3 nails have popped off. They lift on the sides, and the gel polish is streaky and dark. For a $35 fill I expect them to last and look a little better. They rush too much and don't do a good job. They improperly fill in with way too much acrylic and make the nails thick. I now have 3 nails off from lifting after a fill I got less than two weeks ago and it keeps happening. Now I need to find a new place. Extremely Dissatisfied. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had at a nail salon. I walked in and waited about half an hr to be taken care of which isn't really the problem, I walked in without an appointment so I don't mind waiting but they never even told me how long the wait would be. Then a man took care of me, he started to file off my gel polish but I had to keep reminding him I had a few cuts on my finger because he was being super rough and going over the open wounds with the nail file! Even when he was cutting my cuticle he nicked by cuts again and again. After he painted them and my nails were under the light he walked away and never returned. Didn't put the hot towel on or lotion or anything. Didn't come back to wipe off the top coat so my nails were still sticky, another woman came over to help take it off for me. I paid $40 for a basic gel polish change. Very unhappy with my service and experience. Will most definitely not be returning to this establishment. read more

He continuously pulled my arm and didn't put down the arm rest. He didn't finish with a hot towel and massage, which normally always happens.
