Absolutely amazing food, drinks, atmosphere, and service. It's pricey but you get what you pay for and thensome!

We had a 6:30 reservation to celebrate my birthday and as we were walking out of the door to head to the restaurant, the hostess calls to say they can't honor our reservation. Her exact words, "I didn't want you to get here and not have a table for you." What's the point of a reservation then? When finally offered a table, she made it clear we had to be up and out for the 8pm reservation. So the 8pm reservation could be honored but not ours. Heading to spend our money elsewhere. read more

I'm visiting a friend and she brought me into this beautiful place for happy hour. We ended up staying for about 4 hours. The staff is wonderful. Drinks and food are a delight. Melinda behind the bar is so engaging and welcomes everyone. She's engaging and knowledgeable and her smile just brightens the room. Our food was incredible. We even had dessert, which we don't usually do. When I come back to the area, I will visit again. read more

I have been to Falling Rabbit a couple of times over the past year or so and have really enjoyed their food. Their creative and delicious menu along with excellent service has been really delightful. I visited the restaurant last week and had a very different experience. Overall, the food was very disappointing. We started with a cheese board that was a poorly presented conglomeration of mediocre supermarket quality cheese and sliced pepperoni, along with an odd, large pile of pickled vegetables - it was bad. The sweet potato dish was overcooked and messy with fish row sprinkled on top - not good. The pasta entree was a glob of noodles and too much cheese that was virtually inedible. The roasted potatoes that accompanied the seafood entree were soaked in a strange sauce and did not taste good. On the positive side, the "frites" (really just plain, overpriced French fries) were delicious and the drinks were ok. I really hope that this was just a one-off poor performance for Falling Rabbit and they get it back together. read more

Disappointing , more like. We went for an anniversary and were seated at probably the best seats in the place: a curved banquette in the corner with a nice view of the interior. The hostess told us Happy Anniversary! and there was a card on the table signed by the staff. So far, very promising. Our server asked the folks that were here before us if they had any allergies. She didn't ask us. Mmm okay. Next modestly sized drinks came. Oh, okay, still not too bad so far. My duck breast came with 40 degree F white asparagus; not room temp but cold. I sent it back. The asparagus returned hot but the duck and sauce got dry under a heat lamp and were room temp. Forgetting pickles on a whopper is a mistake. 40 degree white asparagus at this price point is careless. My wife's dish came with 3 sea scallops...$28...not dry pack, not divers but previously frozen. About the size of a quarter. My wife and I have no problem going out and spending money at restaurants but the higher the cost, the higher the expectation. Our table was cleared by the chef's wife and she asked how it was. I said that it was all right. The expression on her face said 'you must be wrong, sir' and 'you are supposed to say AMAZING!' She expressed no concern whatsoever. Our server then placed a dessert menu in front of us and walked away. No 'would you like dessert' or 'would you like a coffee'. The check came and so did the the tipping point that made me write this review. They charged $2 to make my wife's martini up. $2 for straining ice. Residents of Duluth, I am glad a fine dining restaurant came to your fabulous and happy downtown scene but you are getting fleeced. Many of the menu items are 15% - 20% overpriced. And, they have a health department score of 80, which is very low and shows a severe lack of training and managerial presence. Apparently, the ambition of the clicheed rock n roll chef with the sleeve tattoos and baseball cap outweighs his egotistical approach to fine dining food service especially since Falling Rabbit is supposed to be 'all that'. Came in for brunch at 11:00am and had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff sat us quickly and answered questions. Bar was well stocked and mimosas were great! Strong coffee and eclectic decor with a great music playlist. Wagyu beef hash with kimchi was awesome - tender beef with creaminess of the egg yolk and texture of the cabbage was perfect. Crispy potatoes with creamy centers and delicious pickled cauliflower. Sweet potato pancakes with crispy, sugary, brown edges - they didn't even need syrup but the caramelized bananas and pecans certainly didn't hurt. :) Absolutely perfect brunch. If you like 3 undercooked "lobster" ravioli covered in vinegar, butter and nutmeg with sun dried tomatoes tossed on right out of a jar for $39 dollars, then this place is for you. Almost all of the 6 dishes we got were covered in random dressings, sauces and garnishes. Then, the "manager" Deja who was chatting at the bar with 6 other staff members all night was extremely defensive and not at all polite when I told her exactly that. We asked for the owners number, but they never gave it to us. (We thought they might like to hear honest feedback) Our waitress was very nice and we tipped her well over 20% what our bill would have been. Do yourselves a favor. Go to Noona folks. read more

unfortunately we could not get past the bar tender so we did not eat dinner. I ordered a French 75. I sat for 15 minutes ( not a busy time) it took the Bar Tender 3 tries. Now we have been ther for 30 minutes. She could not figure it out. The most shocking part, they serve "champagne " from a nozzles . A French 75 is topped off with Champagne. We left after we found that out. Not to mention the interior looks like pimp decore. read more

Nice atmosphere.. excellent service .. food prepared well...BUT overpriced and the kitchen had a couple of problems... I ordered a celery root salad with anchovies... the excellent server brought out shredded Brussel sprouts.. he said the kitchen ran out of celery root.. he asked if that was ok , I said I would try it.. he didn't come back to the table before serving it to ask if I wanted to substitute for a house salad.. which my wife said hers was great.. I asked about no anchovies on the salad he said they were in the dressing which was almost non existent.. my entree was fried chicken and peas for $28... I got one piece of chicken and no peas and something that appeared to be polenta..my wife got $32 pork belly served only with rice...I won't be back... read more

The 1/2 Roasted Chicken was brought to two different tables before arriving at our table for my dinner, minus the Brussel Sprouts that were supposed to come with it. The manager lady in her jean jacket was strangely confrontational, rude and had crazy eyes, as if she personally wanted to fight me and our wonderful waitress over whether or not I ordered Brussel Sprouts when in fact they were in the item description on the menu. Other than this fiendish rude woman who made faces at us as she spoke, and the fact that the $38 chicken was dry when they brought it back out with the Brussel Sprouts, it was a perfect evening. read more

Four of us spent a boatload of money! Enjoyed the ambiance. Do you think the chef even had the common decency to come out and thank us for our business? Appetizer, maid courses, desserts, and three bottles of high end wine. If I spend that money again I expect the chef to come out of the kitchen and acknowledge our existence. Great drinks. I hated the food. I'm a fairly adventurous eater, but our meal was really unfortunate and the service was super slow. We were the only party in the restaurant when we arrived, and we had a reservation for our anniversary. While we were not in a rush so this was not a huge deal, the service was incredibly slow and servers were mostly standing around chatting with one another. I wish we'd walked across the street to Pure Taqueria. I would absolutely not eat at Falling Rabbit again, but at least we have a very happy marriage. I'll take a great relationship over a great anniversary dinner any day. read more

Came in for brunch this morning and have nothing but positive things to say! I left a short review on Google earlier, but wanted to come on here to post my full review! Everything about this place is amazing. The decor instantly catches your eye and reels you in and the staff makes you feel at home. My server was Deja and she was the best server I've ever had. She not only described the brunch menu very thoroughly but also brought out a dinner menu and explained it so I can come in next week for dinner! She informed me of the new Thursday date night special and the daily happy hour. Both which I plan on coming back for now! I also got the chance to meet the manager Babs, and she was so kind and welcoming! For brunch I got the Crab Cake Benedict where instead of English muffins they use crab cakes. Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had and also very filling. Crafted cocktails were perfectly balanced and I can't wait to come back to try the others on the menu! Fantastic flavors across the board. Plan to get several cocktails and share the grilled oysters. The short rib spaghetti and ribeye were both wonderful! Went for happy hour and excited to come back for a dinner or brunch. Happy hour was an awesome deal, $10 specialty cocktails and $8 standard cocktails. Fun and innovative drinks that were done well and also looked great. Interior decor is moody and fun, definitely felt more like a place ITP. This was our 3rd visit because we enjoyed the food so much and the service was spot on. However, last night was disappointing. Our server was not attentive, forgot our orders (we reminded her several times) and although our 1st 2 courses were very nice (Grilled Oysters, Baked Goat cheese , Sea Scallops -shared) our entrees were served cold. We asked for a re-heat and they came back cold again. What made it worse was the servers indifference and "I could care less" attitude just left us disappointed. read more

"let me lick your plate" immediately caught my attention and decide to go in.. falling rabbit.. this is now one of my favorites restaurant. The vibe in this place is incredible, plates are delicious, the chefs decide to improve a very original and exquisite menu but what I like the most of this place was the service. Francisco was our server, and he was incredibly attentive, charismatic, friendly, and above and beyond of its customer service skills.. this place have a combination of everything good vibe, original decoration, delicious dishes and las but not least.. great team that knows how to take care of the clients.
