Rarely you come across a honest mechanic shop, especially one that is one stop shop for all auto needs. Being quoted absurd estimates in 5 other places, including the dealership where I had discounts, they handled all my vehicles requirements and more. Beyond just the necessary maintenance, they performed preventive measures to make sure I would have a reliable vehicle for months ahead. Everyone here's the story about the mechanic that won't or even worse deliberately something to make you come back to spend more money. This is my second review of Falcon & I MUST write it! I have brought my 3 cars into Falcon for check ups over the course of a year because I was afraid something was very wrong for one reason or another. Only one time was there some small thing that needed to be fixed! Another time my car had damage that they recommended I NOT fix, because it wouldn't be worth it to me over time. I just took my Mom's car in for a check engine light - Sean said the car is fine, just a little problem with the sensor wire. I now LOVE this place. I just took my older Audi into Falcon because someone at a gas station told me that my car was leaking oil. I spoke with both Sean and Mark. I'm sure it was very obvious that I know nothing about cars and that I was a little desperate to get my car fixed as soon as possible. They could have told me pretty much anything. They had my car for about an hour and half, let me know that the leaking was normal condensation from the air conditioner and not to worry about it, topped off my fluids and checked the air in my tires. Mark said that since nothing was wrong with my car there would be no fee. They charged me nothing for their inspection and service. They now have a life long customer in me and I can highly recommend Falcon to anyone who asks because of their professionalism, honesty, friendliness, and amazing customer service. Yes, I did a good job : ) When I moved in Montrose from Los Feliz, I was looking for a nice car care center, so I asked the post office staff (oh... I forgot his name) at Montrose Post Office, "Where is the best car care center around here?". He told me, "I have been to Falcon Car Care for long time, you need to call Mark". Yes, I met Mark and Sean, co-owners. *** They are really honest and good. And they are very clean. I am a clean freak. When I use their restroom, I was happy to see their clean restroom. Good sign! Yes, they are clean and organized, so they are good at car care & business!! *** And they are very kind. When I really need the battery, they worked on my car right away...I really appreciate their hard work : ) Anyway I had an oil change on May 31st ($41.19), and I had a replacement of alternator & battery on July 1st ($527.88). *** I am not happy to spend money these days (everything is so expensive!!), but I am happy to spent some money to nice people : ) If you are looking for a good car care center, you need to call Mark or Sean. I have an old car with over 200K miles. When it developed a major problems, I took it to the dealership to make sure it got fixed correctly. They failed to fix it in two separate attempts. I then took it to Falcon and they were able to find the exact problem and fix it. I could have saved myself the extra cost and time if I had just gone there the first time. On one repair a couple of years ago, they found a break in a factory installed plastic "T" fitting... Not only did they fix it, they installed a copper fitting in it's place... ie... better than factory new. read more
