We dined in Saturday 4/30, the atmosphere is nice, albeit a little loud at times, but pretty. The appetizers, we had the fried goat cheese which was delicious, however the little neck clams my husband ordered were downright disgusting, they had a very murky taste to them, some undercooked and all were smaller than the clam fork he used to pick them with. Like not even enough clam to chew. Yikes! The entrees..the 42$ steak was over cooked, medium well should have a small amount of pink to it and there was absolutely none. Served on mashed potatoes but they were drowned in an au jus so they were a little watery. The panko chicken entree was ok, breaded nice but it wasn't stuffed like you'd expect. A lot of breaded chicken and very very little stuffing. BYOB. The service was extremely slow. read more

Last night was New Years Eve and four of us decided to return to the Fairview Cafe to usher in 2019. My wife and I are locals and our friends are from the Finger Lakes. We chose to return because we have always enjoyed the exceptional food and ambience. We were not disappointed. Each of us had different dishes from the pre fixe four course menu and shared tastes among ourselves as we enjoyed the wines we brought. Service was superb with Jamie and we had opportunities to have some fun conversations with her throughout dinner. Whenever we have company and plan on dining out our guests ask that we go to the Fairview. There are many excellent dining options in the area and we try to experience them all throughout the year. The Fairview Cafe is one our favorites. read more

If you have forgotten what fresh food taste like, this is the place to go. Found this gem while staying at the lake with my new bride and have eaten every meal there. Cut to order steaks, truly fresh seafood!!! When I asked to meet the Chef and mentioned that i have been a chef for 15 years I was invited back in the kitchen to see their operation. Incredible work. If your looking for bar food or want to be in and out in 30 minutes for dinner don't bother but if you are looking for great atmosphere and food cooked the way it was intended to be done without all the prepackaged factory cut trash....This is the place! read more

We were able to get reservations for Valentine's Day in their small dining area opposite the fireplace and they did not disappoint! They had a smaller menu to choose from for Valentine's Day that included 5 courses from start to finish and everything was absolutely amazing! I read in other reviews that some people thought they waited too long for their food but I disagree. We had a great time and will definitely be back! We also felt that they were taking appropriate percussions for Covid and everyone had masks on when they were up from their tables and tables were socially distanced. read more

Last night my husband and I along with another couple had an amazing dinner at Fairview Cafe. I don't review often but for this experience I had to. Seeing the building from the outside at night is stunning and the atmosphere inside was absolutely lovely. Our service was top notch and the food from appetizers to dessert was delicious. We were there almost 3 1/2 hours making it a dining experience not to be rushed but enjoyable for conversation as well. Worth the price....Fairview Cafe Is now one of our favorite recommendations. read more

So we had these guys caterer our daughters graduation party in June (as suggested by a friend) everything was fantastic! We visited them last night for dinner for the first time and I just dont get some of the reviews here on YELP. They are more than reasonably priced, actually a much more reasonable than others in the area. The Quality is superior and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I've lived here my entire life and sometime (not always) I think the out of state crowd just gives local places a hard time. AA+ read more

We just went for Valentine's Day, where they had a set menu. I'm a picky eater so I was leery. Everything was outrageous! From the butter poached prawns to the beef carpaccio appetizer to the filet mignon cooked perfectly! The service was outstanding and the owner took the time to chat with us and take our picture in front of the beautiful four sided fireplace! Cannot say enough about how pleased we were. Tables were more than 6 feet apart and the atmosphere was charming and relaxed! We will be back! read more

We had their baked brie which we shared as an appetizer and afterwards i had the duck, my wife the filet and i can't remember what our friends had. Overall it was fantastic. We will definitely be back. Love the fact that they are a BYOB. read more

We have been faithful followers since Chef Donny opened, and visit regularly. Besides the great food, marvelous staff and atmosphere, the variety of live music certainly adds to the enjoyment. We entertain guests here, and it's the perfect place for mini-reunions with family. It's a good idea to make reservations, especially weekend evenings. You can BYOB to enhance your experience! read more

We love Fairview Cafe &Restaurant. Thanks to COVID-19 their closure was mandated. However, those restrictions allow Chef Donny to offer take out family dinners that serve 4-6 We had the balsamic pork loin dinner with roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, and Caesar salad; all were wonderful, of course. We can't wait to try another meal and support this local small business. read more
