The place is like a time capsule, reminds me of the mom and pop family restaurants I used to go to every weekend as a kid. I didn't have high expectations going in, but they accommodated a large party at the last minute, so we gave it a chance. Prices were reasonable, portions were nice sized, and the service was friendly. This is a perfect casual place for families and friends, and there is something on the menu for every taste. Restaurant looked old, rugs, tables, cheap chairs. Very 60s, 70's and not updated in a long time. The food was mostly okay but nothing to write home about. I will say don't get deserts. They tasted like cheap store bought pies from the local Weis and still slices are small and they're over priced for what you get. Here's the kicker. When you order of the menu they ask what sauce or dressing for a salad would you like. They don't tell you that some are extra. For instance, a salad with blue cheese is $1.50 more than french. Or meat sauce is $3.95 more on spaghetti. The ask would you like a potato for your side but neglect to say it $1.50. If the food had been just a hair worse the review would be a 1. The waitress was pleasant but should have explained we were getting charged extra as we ordered for these small things. Won't return. read more

This place is great! My boyfriend and I came here on an overnight trip to the area and loved everything we had. My boyfriend had the chicken noodle soup & the gnocchi. I had the Alaskan king crab legs which were very fresh and plentiful. Even the bread and salads served beforehand were great. Awesome drink specials and an amazing staff. We have enjoyed many different entrées at Capri, and loved every single dish at this family owned and operated restaurant. The seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly! My favorites are the sea scallops and salmon. The veal dishes are phenomenal, and the rack of lamb dish is absolute perfection! Our waitress Chelsea is super sweet and so amazingly efficient, she knows our drink preferences and that we love to start our dinner with the dozen Italian clams and the bang-bang shrimp. Our entire family has been dining at Capri over a dozen times within the last 3 months and it is, without a doubt, our favorite restaurant. read more

I was a little nervous when we walked up. It had a diner feel to it. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It was not like a diner. While the decor was dated it was nice and open. My husband and I have always loved this restaurant . We even went here to celebrate our engagement years ago, but it has been going down hill fast. Went last night to celebrate a birthday. We brought a cake and the server took it in the back to refrigerate it. The cake was a surprise. After being seated, the waitress told us we have to share menus since they didn't have enough. Ok.. Next, after ordering drinks, we were never poured water. The glasses sat on the table. Had to ask for water. Whatever. No a big deal. Once drinks came out there was lipstick on my glass. For 8 people we were brought one little loaf of bread. No bread plates. I asked multiple times for plates but the waitress was so busy we never got them. We ate off the plastic tablecloths. We were never offered refills and had to keep asking. When asking the waitress, she seemed annoyed with us and kept rolling her eyes. We asked about something on the menu and she said "I have no idea". She didn't even offer to ask somebody else. The food wasn't bad. Only reason I come back. After dinner the waitress completely forgot about the cake and we had to remind her.. so much for a surprise. When the bill came out, we were charged for every single refill of soda that was filled with all ice. I understand it was busy and all but the waitress attitude was very disappointing. Will not be returning.. very bummed about this experience. read more

The most horrible place i have ever been. I am SHOCKED this place is in business. We went there in the afternoon and were the first customers to arrive. The service was so bad that it took them 20 mins to get us our drinks. Then the food, OMG i wouldn't take my dog there. Main dish w/o any bread or salad. How the fuck do you serve chicken marsala without any bread or salad. We spent, sorry they robbed us, 60 dollars and we said this will be the first and last time we will go there. The waitress, a complete bimbo, forgot our baked potato, we had to remind her twice and then after 20 mins got the potato after we finished our meal. Would have given a 3.5 if possible. I went to eat at this restaurant with a large group of people and though we set a reservation, it was absolutely not needed considering how empty it was. The interior is very roomy and contains bar seating and table seating. Despite the size, Capri was designed very questionably. It has random couches, broken and unfit lighting, and scattered pictures that are completely irrelevant to the setting. The only reason I put so much emphasis on the odd atmosphere is because the restaurant has so much potential! It has a very nice view of the lake with a dock for boaters. Aside from this, the food was pretty good. I had the chicken parmigiana which I personally thought was delicious but aside from that, it wasn't anything to-die-for. I would come back if I was in the area but wouldn't make a trip to visit. read more

Wow. The restaurant that time forgot. I've never seen anything like it. Like it hasn't been touched since it was built (1950s?). There was only one other group in the restaurant on a Thursday night in July, the height of tourist season. We went 2 for 5 on our meals. The shrimp scampi and gnocchi with vodka sauce were very good, the other meals not so much. Service was great though. So much potential at a great location. A dirty glass, sloooooooooooow service by what seemed like a confused staff, and the food was only barely passable. I asked for crushed red pepper for my chicken parm, and the shaker that was brought out contained pepper so old it had turned black. Just finished a very pleasurable and memorable dining experience at Capri and highly recommend this restaurant. We were greeted by the lovely and vivacious Michelle who started our evening right by making our newly discovered favorite drink, Orange Creamsicle. Our dinner opened with a delicious salad with homemade dressing followed by our wonderful entree of veal parmigiana and mix seafood pasta (the menu is mostly Italian and seafood). Add grisly chicken for $15 and each side was $1.50 extra for frozen broccoli and bland penne . . . and served in monkey dishes! New bar area is nice. Our service was very good. Capri does take reservations, but they won't be needed, this place is like a ghost town. The atmosphere is a little strange, like a hybrid between a 1900's wedding hall and a barn. There are random pieces of home furniture scatted about the restaurant and table clothes that look like horse saddles, but aside from the looks, there food was very good. I had the gnocchi in a vodka sauce and it was very delicious, yet my mom had a terrible dish of penne vodka that tasted like "gummy paste". The price was reasonable and the service was wonderful, very friendly people. I would recommend coming here, but it's a bit funky , and choose your dish wisely. read more

I took my dad for dinner here last week. Have to agree that the decor was dated, but not to the extend I expected from reading reviews. My dad ordered the sea scallops but didn't want it over linguine, so the waitress suggested a different side. He chose a baked potato. I ordered veal parmesan - the waitress asked what kind of pasta I would like and I chose angel hair. We both enjoyed the salads - crisp & fresh. (House vinaigrette was really good.) My dad loved the scallops! I liked the veal parm -good, but not the best I've ever had. My angel hair pasta was bland and watery - very disappointing. Service was average. Bus girls didn't seem to know what to take away - kept trying to take dishes we were still eating from, but didn't take finished plates. The bill came and I was annoyed to find that NOT ONLY did they charge extra for salad dressing (only "house" dressing is free!) They ALSO CHARGED $1.50 for baked potato AND $1.50 for the pasta!!! WHO DOES THAT?? Doesn't pasta ALWAYS come with veal parm?? And shouldn't the potato be free if he subbed it for the pasta?? And at the very least, SHOULDN'T THE WAITRESS HAVE INFORMED US OF THESE UPCHARGES?? Nothing worse than being nickled-and-dimed! Won't be back. read more
