    Winter Old Fashioned

Small menu but everything was absolutely delicious. Went with a large group, and everyone loved their meal. I had the Winter Old Fashioned and the Pork Rib Chop. I have zero complaints and would definitely come back again. The serves and host were attentive and service was great as well.

Such a great evening on my birthday! Only thing was drinks were slow. Like really slow, but our server knew it and made up for it. They're new. I'm sure they'll work it out. However, the drinks were totally different in a great way! Not your average drinks. Very creative. Loved, loved the cucumber dish and the spicey perfect crudo. We didnt order the salmon but recieved it anyway and we were so glad bc it was one of favorites. It was silky salmon on an umami bomb of a sauce. I would say the least successful dish was the white fish (was is halibut or sea bass?!). It was in a curry sauce that was a bit muddled. It was still good but after the bright, fun, summery, perfect crudo, cucumbers and salmon, the curry was just too bland. Loved the service and the atmosphere.

Run, don't walk to have dinner here! This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Didn't take any photos of the food because it was too good I forgot to take photos! We went with a group of 3 couples. Shared a bottle of wine, they have a great selection of bottles. Then we shared several starters. The homemade rolls absolutely melt in your mouth. The trout and beef tartare were our other choice and they were excellent as well. I ordered the scallops and they were cooked to perfection. Finished with the apple and stone fruit crisp and it was delicious. I had the Flip cocktail which was really unique and good. The staff was all super friendly and knowledgeable as well. Can't wait to go back!

Just wow. Let's start with that. We did the chefs table and we were blown away. The wine paring put it over the top. Every bite and sip was perfection. Absolutely phenomenal. Check out the menu pic for all the details. Don't sleep on this place. It's worth every penny. The experience will be beyond compare.

Wow! This place is such a nice addition to Lewiston. The renovation to the Frontier House is worth the visit alone. The cocktails are well made and tasty. For dinner, I had the burger, which was amazing - juicy but not greasy. I hope they expand the menu as more entree options would be great. Can't wait to make this a regular spot!

Fairbanks is in the newly renovated Frontier House and what a great setting for some delicious food! Upon entering, we were greeted by the host and taken to our table for our soft opening, invite only reservation. There is a dining area to the right as well as the left off of the foyer. We sat in the room to the left, which has a full bar at the far end. We were seated at a table in the front corner that had a nice, comfortable bench style seat. Everything is very elegant and there is a good amount of space between tables. The waitress was over right away to bring us water as well as the dinner menu, alcoholic drink menu and NA drink menu. The food menu was set up in such a way that smaller, shareable bites were at the top and as you read down, there were full meals. To start, we ordered their house made pull apart bread with green (ramp) butter. It was delicious! Reminiscent of a pretzel roll because the outside was crisp (cooked in a personal cast iron) with large salt on top. The inside, however, was light and fluffy; a perfectly pleasing combination. The butter was delicious as well with the mild garlic & onion flavor of the ramps. For our meals, we got the smoked salmon and burger. The smoked salmon was delicious with a supple texture; I never thought I would describe fish as supple, but here we are. It came on top of a sauce with some greens that complimented the salmon perfectly. The smash style burger was nice and crisp on the outside, but still juicy. It came with a crisp sour pickle and crispy potato. We looked at the dessert menu, but opted out. Everything on it did look delicious, such as a rhubarb trifle. If you're looking for a night of delicious fine dining and great service in a beautiful setting, then Fairbanks checks all the boxes!

I was so excited to try the newly renovated Frontier House! While the building itself was beautiful, the food unfortunately fell short for me. I went with a group of 6, and while most of us are adventurous eaters, this menu was small and most of the dishes had an odd twist. I'll walk through the dishes we had below: Bread and Butter: Coming in at $8, the bread was tasty and the green butter was good, but nothing spectacular. The green hue was a bit unappealing as well and the onion didn't add much flavor to the butter. Radish Toast: This appetizer was visually appealing, but the pickled radish on top was overwhelming in every bite and made it hard to enjoy. The burger: This dish upset me the most. The burger was a complete copy of Carmelo's beloved cheeseburger. The taste, sauce, and potatoes were nearly identical. For the amount of dishes that Fairbanks could've chosen from, a carbon copy of an existing dish in such a small town is just not necessary. Linguine: This pasta should've been spectacular, featuring pistachios, lemon, and brown butter. However, the taste and smell were completely appalling. The dish tasted as though one of the components went rancid. Everyone in my party tasted it and could barely swallow a single bite. I don't recommend trying this. All things considered, I'm hoping this restaurant changes up the menu to accommodate more casual dining (and perhaps not offer a rip of another Lewiston classic). Currently, I have no desire to return.

    Bluefin tuna belly special

Wow - we just walked out the door and I RAN to Yelp to leave a 5 star review. Our server, Delaney, informed us at the end of our meal that it was her first night so we were EXTRA impressed because the service was phenomenal. She was able to describe the dishes perfectly and recommended the stone fruit & basil dessert which was one of, if not the best, dessert I've ever had. I'll be back for that alone. The flavors melded together perfectly and it was the perfect light dessert to end our night on. We started with the ham & melon, eggplant, bluefin tuna belly, and scallops and each dish was a generous portion for a small plate. Every single dish was delicious. The eggplant was a really pleasant surprise because I wasn't expecting to love it but it was probably my favorite thing ate aside from the dessert. The bluefin tuna & scallops were just as good though so it's hard to say which I loved the most. The scallops were perfectly cooked and had a delicious flavor. The tuna was fresh and melted in your mouth. My only suggestion would be to include some kind of carb base to the scallop dish or move it further up the menu since the portion is closed to a small plate only having the scallops and a few pieces of vegetable. I loved that they offered a non-alcoholic menu and we loved our N/A margarita and Arnold Palmer. The atmosphere is very romantic and moody and I can't say enough good things about the service. Overall this was one of our best dinners we've had in years and certainly one of our best in the Buffalo Niagara region. We can't wait to return and tell everyone we know to try it! My only gripe is that the lighting is dark so I couldn't take pictures of most of the beautiful dishes but I'll sacrifice pictures for a great vibe.

Great date night experience for their, I believe, first tasting menu. It seems like the whole team had fun putting this together. Exciting foods you don't see prepared this way often, locally sourced, well cooked mostly (pasta was undercooked). Our server needed trained up a bit on the job, but the effort was there and you can feel the passion in this place. Great ambiance. You should go, you'll have a great time.

Radish toast - so good, must get.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.

Let's start with the "pub pretzels" and which are 100% the frozen ones you find at Tops. They are not unique and I've had better from Auntie Anne's and countless other pubs/restaurants. They completely overcooked my friend's burger. I ordered the honey garlic parm chicken sandwich, it's insane that the ingredients/flavors were perfect but the chicken was rubbery and again something you'd expect from a pizza place, pre-cooked and hard outer skin, also the roll is chewy, they basically nuked it... if they had real chicken, and toasted the roll, that sandwich would be the best in WNY. I was really excited for this place too, I will not be returning.
