Great place! Largest washers can hold up to 7-9 loads for $7.50 and done in 15 minutes! Wow! $1.10 per pound for their laundering service. Next day pick-up only on weekends. $.50 for 8 minutes of drying time. I can wash all my clothes for a household of four and be out in an hour. Love it! Clean too. This is my new favorite laundry mat. I usually went to Sierra Madre, but now that's my go-to place for late night laundry since it's 24 hr. As for getting things done through the day, Fair Oaks Laundry is a lot more efficient. I love that they take card because I hate hunting for quarters. The machines are newer and dry faster. In addition, they also have a water machine so that you can refill your water if you have a cooler at home. I liked that there's wifi, benches, tv, vending machines, a nail shop, and fried chicken next door. I haven't tried the nail place, but hopefully it's decent if i'm ever in that much of a hurry it's right there. the one thing i did not like was all the tv channels were turned way up on volume and in Spanish. it was noise pollution when i wasn't in the mood for all that noise. otherwise, all good. read more

I have been to fair oak laundry for 3 years and whenever I had a problem or a machine malfunctioned, a nice attendant was always there to rectify the problem with using a wash card to start the machine again. Today 10/10/2021, a new attendant was there. An old man needed help with putting money on his wash card and she was so disinterested in helping him and said you figure it out. I came over to help the old man since the attendant had no patience to help him. I put in a load of clothes and noticed that the drum of the machine was stuck because of a towel caught in the door. I stopped it so it wouldn't mess up the machine and then I told the attendant about the situation and ask if she could rectify the situation. Since I was only looking out for the machine. She refused and told me to pay again. I just tried to help and had the most rude experience with this attendant who also refused to give her name. One stars for horrible customer service. read more

First time in a laundromat in years and was not looking forward to it after being spoiled with in apartment washer and dryers. I went at prime time, 1:30pm in the afternoon on a Saturday. There was a crowd, but plenty of machines. Quick wash, even quicker dry. The highlight of the trip was Cynthia, the staff on duty. She was overly helpful and just a dear, dear woman. Super convenient in and out with easy parking. Normal people doing their laundry until I got hit up for money from the crackhead lurking outside, walking back and forth non-stop... but honestly isn't that all of LA? Even saying that, this spot feels really safe. Tons of machines, gigantic ones for family loads and blankets... and their card system makes it simple and easy so you don't have to carry cash. Great, clean, cheap, and GREEN! I found this place online and couldn't be more pleased. For a laundromat this is as good as it gets, I know! Not only are they "green" and energy efficiant, they are fast! While sitting waiting for my clothes the owner himself came by to see if I needed the free wifi password. I highly recommend Fair Oaks Laundry. I've been going to Fair Oaks Laundry for about 6 months now. Gary and his team are always helpful and attentive. There is free parking, free wifi (just ask the friendly attendant for the password) and free bathrooms (my old laundromat charged to use the bathroom). You do have to use your laundry card to open the bathroom door but this just helps keep it clean and only available to customers. The staff here are always really friendly and helpful when I encounter problems and quick to solve them. I've even had staff help me when I've struggled to get my laundry into the laundromat! It seems like the temperature in Fair Oaks Laundry is always just about perfect (I decided to try this place because my old laundromat was too hot all the time). The snack machines are well-stocked and reasonably priced. The TVs are newer and work well (and they'll even change the channel if you're not keen on whatever is on). The laundromat is really clean. There's also a nice park across the street with a library in it. This really helps if you have to drag along the kiddos. I really like that I have the ability to put money on my laundry card using my credit or debit cards. This makes things so much easier (at my previous laundromat I had to always get quarters before doing laundry--ugh). Also, after you spend a certain amount you get a little bit of free credit on the card (woo free laundry!). It's a really nice touch. I think ultimately what I like most about this laundromat is the attention to detail. The owner always recognizes me and comes over to chat a bit. His staff are incredibly helpful and always easy to find if you have a problem. They have always made me feel like I'm a welcome and valued customer. I hate doing laundry and will probably never love laundry day, but Fair Oaks Laundry makes it so much better. Also, it's a lot less expensive than my old laundromat (so Fair Oaks has also made laundry day more affordable). I highly recommend it. I've never used their fluff and fold service so I can't comment on it. read more

I prefer the Laundrywood location in Koreatown. This place was not clean when I went. The tables were dirty, spills on the floor. Doesn't seem like it is well taken care of. I just moved to the area and having issues getting my laundry set up. So, this place is walking distance to where i am living. I like the idea of the place being green. I feel it is important. I like that it is cashless. But being that I am currently single I don't like that they don't have machines for a single person. The smallest machine they have is for double than what i have. So i am spending more money than i need to. It would be nice to have machines for the single person. I do like what they do, I just wish it was more economical for a single person. read more

i love fair oaks laundry! i do my laundry there on a weekly basis. I love the fact that you do not have to use quarters like the old school washer and dryers. the machines take a pre-paid card. one draw back, they charge you a $1 for the card. I have purchased other cards because I mis-placed my other one. when I did find the my other card, the employee was able to combine the cards and give me back the $1 credit for having multiple cards. I do not feel it is always clean, but it also depends on what time of day you go in to do your laundry. Ever since they opened, I have been a loyal customer! I am happy that the owners remodeled the establishment because it was abandoned before they remodeled it. Good that they are in business! Good to have them close to my house! read more

So i've used these guys for a few months, and yes it's cheap, but it's often crowded and a tad dirty. And the last time i did my laundry there, all of my clothes smelled bad afterward, which means they are not regularly maintenancing and cleaning their machines. Which is pretty gross. As far as laundromats go...I think this place is top notch. Relatively clean and even on the busy nights we're able to find room to do our several loads. The credit card system is excellent (no more quarters!) and you can even win free money randomly (I won five dollars loaded onto my card once!). This place is also eco friendly (uses less water) and both the wash and dry loads are quick. We manage to get 4 or 5 loads done in less than 2 hours including folding. There is also an employee always on site to help you out with any problems or to give you your free dry for a Yelp check-in :). read more

I come here every other week or so to help my girlfriend with her laundry, and occasionally do some of mine. This is probably the cleanest and biggest laundromat I've ever been to. Machines and kept clean frequently, and the staff is helpful and friendly. They have the option to load money from an atm card which is very helpful for those who don't always carry quarters with them. Machines clean and dry pretty quickly so you don't have to spend all day here. There is a library across the street and a Mexican restaurant in the same lot if you're hungry. I wouldn't recommend coming during the weekend because it can get really packed in here. Week days during the early afternoon are the best. read more

Since the re model this place is great! Very clean, the attendant is always walking around if you need help or assistance. The machines are all very well kept and cleaned every so often. I honestly do not get all the rave. I went here because of the positive reviews. The place is nothing special. In fact, it's kind of gross. The washers are dirty. The dryer doors are dusty, the floors have wrappers on them, and ceiling vents are caked with so much dust I doubt they've ever been cleaned. Oh and the folding tables are dirty and have some sticky substances on them. The couple of positives are that there are massage chairs, and the vending machines are cool. Besides that, I've been to much nicer laundromats, even in the ghetto parts of LA. This place needs better upkeep of their machines. The powered detergent is caked on from so much use and it's disgusting. The dryers already look beat up and they're only 4 years old. I'm not going back, unless I want a massage. I don't even like the laundry card idea - you have to pre pay the card, so now I'm stuck w a laundry card I don't want anymore. It's a ploy to get you to keep coming back. (Vs quarters) read more

Worst customer service ever. I only took my white sheets and towels here because our washer and dryer are too small at our apartment. When I picked up my towels and sheets, there were tears in our linens! When I mentioned it to the staff they said those tears must have been there before. I asked to speak to a manager because I have NEVER taken these linens anywhere else. The staff said the owner would be in touch with me right away. WEEKS went by and I never heard from her. When I called her, she said the tears looked like they had happened from too many washes. ABSURD. I've had these sheets for less that two years. Needless to say, she didn't offer to replace anything, she only gave me a $20 credit towards my next wash. These are $90 sheets. I should have learned my lesson, but fool me twice... The next time I picked up my towels and sheets the same FRESH makeup I left on the white towels was still there. NOTHING looked clean. Looks like they didn't even use bleach, which I request EVERY time. I won't be returning. Terrible customer service. Lots of homeless people hang around this location asking for money as well. Not the safest place for any young woman to be doing business. read more

Bad news, my washer broke and the part won't be in for 10 days. Good news, Fair Oaks Laundry is right around the corner. The owners were there and were very nice and helpful. He was doing maintenance but took time out to explain how their system works, no coins but a refillable laundry card. The attendant was also extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities are very clean. Other reviews talk about all the kids running around but there weren't any there when I went at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. As laundromats go, this one's pretty nice. Lots of machines, really big ones, so easy to be in and out quick. So far, I haven't had to wait to get a dryer. That's a plus. I'd have given 5 stars because I appreciate the free bathroom, the free wi-fi, the easy parking, the nice machines. Just one thing I wish for, that there could be machines for powder soap users and some reserved for liquid soap users only. That sticky powder residue that always builds up on the machines just gives me the willies. Plus, I sometimes need to do blanket washing for a hyper-allergic, who suffers with skin from hell, and I somehow don't think getting other people's powder residue in our wash is laundry kosher. Probably not. Or, at least, there should be a way to flush that residue out between loads. read more

I had been going there for 3 months, as my dryer at home had broken. all fine, not bothering anyone, when one day two days ago, one of the employees came out of nowhere and said: " you can't dry your clothes here". confused, I asked why and she said you didn't use our washing machines so you can't use our dryer. She then starts giving me snarky/ rude attitude. Like seriously, I can't pay money to use a freaking dryer??? there were literally three people in there, it's not like I was getting in anybody's way! I work in customer service and I hate it when customers say " you just lost our business" but god dammit I got to that point with this lady. I honestly believe it is also because of race. I am Asian and she is Hispanic and flat out, on the table, if it weren't for my race, I don't think she would have come over to say anything. they're the only ones with this policy too apparently cause I went to one on orange grove and they were perfectly fine with me. some businesses just dont want to make money I guess. read more
