Rude Staff and Horrible Customer Service I've been coming here for years, but the service from two of the employees--both heavy-set Latina women--is completely unacceptable. Today, I asked a simple question about when the dryers would be fixed. One employee responded short, hostile, and full of attitude, insisting "there is nothing wrong with the dryers," even though it was obvious they weren't working, and added the gas was off. When I asked for an update, she shrugged me off and acted like I was bothering her. It was extremely uncomfortable because there were other customers there, and she made a big deal out of it. She even went to the other girl on staff and seemed to talk negatively about me behind my back, giggling like she didn't have to treat customers properly. When I tried to clarify I wasn't being confrontational, she repeated "there is nothing wrong with the dryers." When I pointed out that more dryers keep going out over time, she shockingly said, "Well, if you don't like it, you can go somewhere else!" On another occasion, I left pants in a dryer and tried calling during business hours. Nobody answered, and when I came in, one employee was on her personal phone and seemed to be looking at social media or TikTok, I called in to observe if she would answer the phone while I was onsite and it just seemed like she was ignoring it. When I confronted her to tell her that I was trying to call to ask someone to please put my expensive pants aside she seemed defensive and dismissive. I understand they may not be highly paid, but that doesn't excuse rude, disrespectful behavior toward paying customers. I can understand if I was hostile or rude but I just simply asked and there attitude was uncalled for on both occasions. I hope management or the owner sees this review--and it would be great if they provided a direct phone number or email so I know it's actually getting to them. Pretty janky, to be honest. I just came here to launder two comforters, first to discover that none of the credit card readers were working (and this isn't a temporary glitch because the paper signs saying the internet doesn't work are soiled like they've been up for a while). Then you go to the change machines and one of those is broken as well. So somehow you're supposed to only use quarters for a $7.00 machine. This place is very dirty and the restroom never had an air conditioner. One day when I drove a long distance to this laundry and arrived at 7:50 PM, just a few minutes after they closed at 7:45 PM. As a regular customer, I expected at least a little understanding or flexibility. Instead, I was turned away at the door. When I expressed my disappointment and said, "You're going to lose a customer over this," the staff responded with, "OK, I don't care." That kind of attitude says everything about how they value loyal customers. I went here expecting some weird credit card holds and am posting a breakdown, for reference. On Sunday, I ran: - 1x 80lb load ($10.87) - 1x 30lb load ($5.18) - 20min large dryer ($2.07) While the final price was about $18, each transaction resulted in an initial $10 hold on my credit card ($40), plus the $10.87 for the 80lb wash. I wasn't expecting so many, but these did clear up in a few days, as advertised. This place is a bit on the pricey side (there are cheaper laundromats nearby in Alhambra), but I appreciated that the machines were all working, the convenience of the card readers, and that the facility itself was clean and orderly. The only down side is the parking is small and shared with other businesses so you need to arrive really early in the morning to get parking or else you will need to park in the street and carry all your laundry to the location. read more

Came in at 7:30pm to do a few loads of wash. There was no worker around until after we had already loaded the washers and that's when she decided to come around and tell us that last wash was at 7:45 so if we had items in the washer then we needed to take them out. Detergent and soften were already in and money about to be placed but instead we lose out on that and now have to find a place to dry what we could wash. What happened Clean Bubbles?!? This used to be the go to place. Kept clean and tidy. Always someone here to help. Machines always worked Now I swipe my card and was told there would be a $10 fee held on the card. Oddly enough it's $10.35 and doesn't seem to get reversed. What is the 35 cents for anyway. Now... Machines keep your money. Restrooms always locked. Can't find anyone to help in the evening and sometimes during the day. Machines that used to cost 50 cents to dry my clothes now cost $1.00 for the same clothes. Either way this place has definitely gone down hill and fast! You guys used to have a tall Hispanic worker a few months back that was here in the evening. He kept this place beautiful. Never saw him stop just working and wiping down the machines, every time we came in. Probably smart enough to have left this place too. What a shame. I just went there today!! There is a rude worker and I am saying there is because I just saw another review regarding this worker! As I was loading more of my laundry I stick my head inside and saw small towels stucked on the upper part of washer! I took it out ! At first, I want to change machine but I almost loaded half! After 10 mins this worker came and I informed her that the previous customer left their towels! Omg, she yelled at me! Telling me I took out another person's clothes!! She said they are still using it!! I explained to her that the door was opened and it's empty until later I found out they left some towels! She just kept yelling at me! First time in to use a large washing machine on 8/4/25. I was shocked to find that with each transaction on a machine using credit card or debit, there is a $10 hold each, plus user fee posted. I did not notice the sign stating this. Turned out the extra charge holds are temporary and deleted in a day or two. Apparently the laundry has no control over this and is the work of the card reader company. As far as the laundry service I found the place to have quality equipment, was clean and uncrowded and a good place to go for your laundry needs. read more

One weird thing was I was waiting for my load to wrap up and I was bored and checking the prices on the smaller washing machines because I was using the 60 lb washer. The woman who is closing the place started telling me not to start a load when I literally have no clothes in my hands. She started to scold me about the place being closed multiple times and I told her I'm not starting a load. This worker that everyone is talking about has issues!! I didn't realize this until yesterday. I've been washing there for years, and there was a previous issue in the past. I hadn't been back there in years! But yesterday, I washed there and needed to use the restroom as I walked into the restroom I locked the door behind me, maybe 30 seconds after and while I was using the "WC" someone was opening the door with a key, the worker must have seen me go into the restroom? I yelled that that restroom is being used they continued to ignore me, I literally had to jump off the toilet seat to lock the door! I then hurried to get out of the restroom concerned that someone had a key and could barge in at any second so as a result of that I was soo upset that I did not flush the toilet! When I walked out, the same female employee started yelling profanity's at me, in front of everyone in the laundromat, I explained that I'm doing my laundry here and was using the restroom when you tried opening the door on me!! She then replied, "And What About it" while a couple witnessed the whole thing the other patron yelled back at the employee that she seen the whole thing, and that if she didn't stop yelling she would call 911 on the employee and that the worker was opening the door while it was being used and for her profanity's in public! I told the worker that I'm not going to leave until I finish up my wash!! I thanked the couple for having been there in my defense. I then left to another laundromat to finish up a blanket, I started up a conversation with a patron there she explained she also had previous issues at Bubbles with the same worker! OMG, Something needs to be done about this person she obviously has issues!! Beware if you use this location! There has been complaints on her but nothing is being done about her! . Came here because i was in the South Pas area...parking lot was packed so it was off to a bad start, but i found street parking, and inside was clean and the machines were new and easy to use. machines takes credit cards or coins. Even though I have a washer & dryer in my home I like to save time by using the large washer & dryers for things like winter blankets so that I can wash everything in an hour rather than doing it all day. Today I took about six expensive winter blankets there and used the biggest washer. Unfortunately they were all ruined by what smells like a homeless encampment covered in urine. Not sure if it was their washer or their water, but the blankets were fine before (just had been in storage for a year), and were washed with detergent. I took them home and washed them again immediately in the hopes that rewashing would get the awful smell out but it didn't work and now they're all trash. I would give it a 5 star on cleanliness and the remodel of the facility. I DON'T like that they claimed to have an attendant on premises until 9 pm to help with the change of coins since they have the coin machines out of service, NO ATTENDANT IN SIGHT! So you're FORCED to use a credit or debit card and then there's a 3.5% transaction fee on top of a $10 hold for each machine you used your credit card! WHY? Because they claim coin shortage has affected them, but when you go to other laundromats there's no problem getting coins from change machines. Ridiculous!! The credit card machine is convenient, but not if they're holding $10 for a $4.75 wash and you're using 20 machines to do your laundry, that's a F'n $200 hold on your card for 72 hours!! That's F'd up especially during Covid-19 when people are short on money!! EDIT: The attendant arrived at 7:30 pm and explained that the maximum hold on a credit or debit card is $40, I still think that's too much. She also claimed that since COVID-19 they have moderated they're attendant hours to when it says on the small clock in front of the window the time they'll return. But if you paid attention to my photos, it says attendant will return at 12:00 . I still think they need to put up a sign specifying that!! She was pleasant and friendly at least. read more

In general, I really like this laundromat - it's clean, the staff is always nice and the machines work well. However - I do not trust paying by credit card. The machines put a $10 hold on your card every time which is annoying but should clear in a few days. The last time I was there I did two loads in one of the smaller high capacity machine which was $6.50 or $6.75 each for a max total of $13.50. However, I was charged $20 and that amount cleared my account. I emailed and never heard back. Stick to quarters if you go here. read more

I used to love this place but the past couple of times I arrived around 6:13/630 and the business is still closed. Lights on, sign says it opens at 6, just like Yelp, but there's a "closed- back at 12:30" sign. Doors locked. But then one day I came with my mother who is an elder woman when she to try to get in the laundry mat May be 1hr or less before closing! The staff member a woman was very rude to her she pulled the door shut upon seeing my mother try to open the door! I have been coming to Clean Bubbles on and off since moving to South Pasadena. My washing machine currently needs servicing and so I have made my way back to this overly priced, poorly serviced laundromat. Tonight, I was parked at Clean Bubbles at 7:45pm. I gathered all my laundry from the truck of my car and was about to begin my load (7:49pm). The young woman working ran over to me with her teenage son and they both tried stopping me from doing a load. They claimed that I could not do laundry because everyone else was finishing their loads and I would cause them to leave "late". I explained to them that I would be done before 9pm - the time this laundry mat CLOSES. They both began to get visibly upset and repeatedly stated I could not do any laundry tonight as I was "too late"and would cause them not to be able to leave on time. I continued to argue with them, because the machine and cycle I was using takes 28 mins per load and the dryer takes a total of 21 mins. The woman argued with me for over TEN MINUTES. Stopping me from starting my load in a timely manner. Once she finally okayed me to begin my laundry - it was past 8pm and it would have been cutting it close. Her teenage son was muttering under his breath and yelling at his mother about allowing me to do laundry. When he saw me going to change my dollars for quarters he actually pounded his fist against the table he was sitting at. Needless to say I won't be coming here again and will be taking my laundry down the street to the Highland Park 24/7 Laundry Mat. The convenience of this laundry mat is trumped by the rude service. As I was leaving I could see the teenage son writing down my license plate numbers as well. Not sure what he plans to do with those - but also very strange behavior. read more

i have been coming here for years. i am so disappointed with how far they have fallen. place is always dirty the staff is nasty when you ask questions. i lost more than $20 on machines that didn't drain and i had to rewash my clothes which took 2 extra hours. i have been sending emails and text messages with pics since september and i can't get anyone to respond. what a terrible business and total lack of customer service read more

Last Friday, the attendant gave me such a nasty attitude right out of the gate, for no reason. I walked up to her and asked for help with a machine. She responded with annoyance and impatience - in a huff. She then gave me incomplete information so I had to figure out the rest for myself. Later I asked for help again. I asked nicely, "Could you help me over here?" She told me, "You come over here and ask the question". It just got worse from there. I gave her a taste of her own medicine, which didn't phase her in the least. I'm older, as well, even though I don't look it, so I especially did not appreciate her nastiness. The company did not respond to my emails on their website and so I see now why she dared me to complain. It's a shame. This laundromat used to be owned by a lovely older couple. Ok for the area the laundromat is not bad does need some up keeping but the place is good compared to other places I've been to. The thing i dislike they put a $10 hold on your debt card if paying with it, ( I hate carrying cash) they should have there own type of card to add money to it So you can use the washer and dryer. And yes the people that work here do have a slight attitude towards customers , but you figure they probably have put up with some s%?!t from other customers. I would give this place a -1 if I could. The machines are old. I was going there because it was the closest place to me. The last time I went, the dryer caught on fire and ruined over $150 worth of sheets, towels and clothes. The lady that worked there responded quickly with several fire extinguishers until the fire department came. I emailed the owner and got no response. At least I was standing right next to the machine and their employee was very responsive. I could have lost more than my clothes. Still, I won't return there. read more

She's nice & says hello hi to the customer she likes And very rude to the customers she does not like. She told me not to come back to the laundromat. Everyone should be treated equally. Thanks for speaking up I thought I was the only one who experienced it because I had a lot of laundry to do for the family and naturally spent time doing lots of laundry And her solution is to tell a customer not to come back to the laundromat for that. A reasonable employee will state the business policy to the customer if there's really a time limit for doing laundry. Instead she tells me not to come back to the laundromat. I work 6 days a week Only 1 day off in a week And I use my day off to do laundry for the family I was not loitering around I was a business patron paying and doing laundry for the family And she tells me not to come back. Karma is waiting for her. Who knows how many customers she has treated like this. I believe the boss is lazy to hire a replacement. Or the boss supports her racism. So they keep her around and she abuses her privileges by telling people not to come back to the laundromat. Someday this business will face a lawsuit because of her. read more

Avoid! This place used to be good, well run and well maintained but it's in a death spiral now. The last time I was here, half the machines were out of use, and it seemed like the place had flooded. I only had a couple of small loads so I went ahead. Mistake! There was no water pressure so what should've been a 30 min load took over an hour. And the machines lock, so I was kind of held hostage there, not knowing what was going on. Today I came back, thinking the previous visit was an anomaly, but nope. I used 3 of the 30 lb machines, swiped my credit card, and saw only ONE of the machines turn on. The other 2 took my money, but would not start washing, no matter what I tried, and once again I was locked out and couldn't even retrieve my clothes. I looked around for a help number, someone to report it to-nothing. If I finally managed to get 1 machine to start, and the other to cancel and release the lock. When I got to the dryers, I thought "I'll use coins-maybe something old school will work properly". Wrong! The dryers just overcharged me, sucked up the quarters and did next to nothing. This place overcharges you! This is the second time I come here and use my card on the $5 larger washer and the $10 CC hold is what I'm being charged instead of the $5! I looked back at my past transactions and the $10 CC hold never adjusted to the actual price I paid for the washers! I will be reporting this overcharging to a state agency. What a rip off. It's clean, brand new machines with different load sizes and you can pay with coins or your credit card. (Not those cards you have to purchase) It's so convenient!!
