I love dropping in to Face Foundrié to get facials. The team is friendly and they offer some nice options at solid pricing! I see Destini for the Foundrié Glow and dermaplaning. I always leave feeling so relaxed with my skin refreshed. Keep in mind this is a facial "bar" with the stations only separated by hanging curtains. DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE! In fact don't get anything done at all. It's a whack corporate chain that does not care about you. And the vibe is giving hospital...just a bunch of cots separated by a thin curtain in a dark room. I came for a brow wax and lamination with Destiny and had a horrendous experience. I had never had either service before so I wasn't sure what to expect/ask. Destiny was silent almost the entire time and didn't explain a thing. My eyebrows turned orange, and she literally gaslighted me and said that's how my eyebrows were when I came in. I started freaking out, obviously, because on top of that she trimmed them so poorly that they looked choppy. Another tech, Blake, had to step in to save me. She tinted and waxed them, but obviously they turned out much darker than my natural. At this point I am feeling botched. I had to buy a brow serum and Blake said that the manager would be fine to reimburse me. Plot twist: she did not! Skylar the manager refunded me for the service (duh) and refused to refund me for the brow serum because that's their sales policy. Cool! Whatever happened to a little customer service? What's one brow serum to an entire chain? Please see screen shot below of her passive aggressive wording that makes it seem like I somehow miscommunicated my expectations. As I write this 3 days later, my eyebrows are literally orange again. I forgot the name of the woman who did my brows but I LOVE THEM. I know it's in the system so I'm sure Incan ask for her again. I like a thick brow and I like them to look full so I'm really happy with this. I always have a little reaction to the wax but everything was comfortable. I want to appreciate the person who did mine because she took her time. My mom and I went back at the same time and after my mom was finished quite a bit earlier than my esthetician, I felt like my mom didn't get the same time and attention I was getting and it showed. I wish I knew her name so I could tell you not to choose her, lol. Any way. The prices here are really great. A hydra facial for less than $200 is pretty amazing BUT I will say, having my eyebrows done next to my mom is fine and we can hear each other etc. but there might be a little compromise having a conversation with your esthetician during a facial. I will say they have lots of accommodations to make you feel comfortable like you can take off your shoes, you can have a warmed weighted blanket and the lights are all dim except for lights needed to do your service. But there is a slight acknowledgment of I'm not alone lol. However I feel like that's a nice compromise for the price. Wear some comfy athleisure apparel and come ready to relax. I have seen this all over my targeted Instagram ads so I decided to give them a try for one of their initial facial services. Making an appointment online was incredibly easy and intuitive (and if you do a quick search you can find a first visit discount promotional code). I also heard the receptionist take a call to make an apt so whichever is easiest for you as the visitor. The location is very clean girl aesthetic - comfortable and bright. They don't have any dedicated parking and they don't do any kind of validating for parking at any local garage, so find parking or be willing to pay for it on the street or in a local garage. My esthetician was very pleasant and made sure to do an intake form as well as ask me if I just wanted a relaxing visit (she wouldn't talk to me through the facial). I opted for relaxing but it is important to note that the facial area is a shared space, visitors are not in separate closed-off rooms, they are separated by sheer fabric panels. This did mean for my apt the person across from me was chatting and it did distract me from being able to fully relax. The table was really comfy and cushioned, and I was offered a knee bolster and a weighted blanket. I would have loved something to support my neck as well (maybe I could have asked but nothing was offered like the other items). The facial itself was lovely (I had the Foundrié glow). The products felt luxurious and smelled delicious. I also got a quick but nice neck and shoulder massage. Overall, I think the service is a great value for the cost but just be sure you know it's not as private as other spaces offer if that's something that's important to you. The parking and not being fully private and other apts possibly impacting your apt (like the chatting impacted mine) is why I think it's a 4 not 5* experience. read more

I love this place and love Grace D who is the esthetician who does my facials. She truly cares about helping my sensitive skin and finding a routine that's best for me. I started with the clean + natural and am now onto the Foundrie glow that exfoliated my skin nicely. I ended up getting the membership to keep my skin looking healthy (they do not pressure you at all to get the membership which I liked). Spent my Sunday afternoon getting the Cryo Queen with Shanicy Alizé and it was amazing. Face Foundrié is a chain that recently came to South Congress. The location is a little bit off the beaten bath if you're not familiar with SoCo and my GPS ended up taking me to Nike instead of the correct address. Once inside, the studio is very nicely decorated and has a very minimalistic vibe. I checked in and waited a few minutes before Shanicy came to take me to the back. It is an open space studio and there are about 6 beds that are separated by curtains. The whole experience was very relaxing and started off by deep breaths surrounded by eucalyptus and including a neck massage. I was offered the selection of either getting a step by step of my services or having a quiet experience. I opted for a mixture of both and any questions I had were answered and explained thoroughly. Something that I really like is that they offer a membership service. For $89/month, you can get any facial with an add on plus 10% off other services and products. It's a really unique offering that I haven't seen at other salons I've visited in Austin. Overall very relaxing, create service and will definitely be returning! read more

I'm always excited for some treat yourself time and Face Foundrie had been on my list for a while. First, parking is off Congress so you need to plan accordingly. I went on a weekday morning so it was really easy and cost me $2.50. The place is beautiful and clean, but be aware that it's an open space concept (see pics) so you can hear people's conversation and such. I went on a Thursday at 10am and I was the only one there so it was extra peaceful. I got a clean + natural treatment + scalp massage (trust me, get the scalp massage) with Alexa and it was soooo relaxing, I felt myself drifting a few times. She was so gentle through every step. We ended with the scalp massage and that was the cherry in the cake. Overall a really great experience and their prices are so fair. They have a lot of offers available but if you mentioned my name you should get a $10 off discount. Happy treat yourself time! read more

Had the best experience with Audrey for the Foundrié glow. Parking is tricky so be prepared but it's so worth it! The space is beautiful, brand new, opened in February of this year. The concept is really unique too. There's several beds all separated by a curtain, you get a weighted blanket and they have relaxing music and noise machines playing so you definitely still get the spa aspect. They offer a variety of facials, brow and lash services as well! Audrey did my facial and was SO knowledgeable and all around amazing. I took the day off to have a relaxing facial and all I continued to hear was ladies talking loudly in the lobby area laughing and laughing and carrying on. They were so loud! I was not aware this was an open-concept setup until I arrived for my appointment. Unfortunately, this was not the relaxing experience I was expecting. We are paying a premium price, and the lack of privacy--just a curtain separating you from the next customer--felt more like an ER than a spa. Yooo I just had the Sculpt facial with Sandra and she changed my goddamn life! I woke up with intense sinus pressure from allergies and left the spa with a clear head and a depuffed face. I got the Foundrie Glow facial with LED light add on with esthetician Audrey. The whole experience was about an hour. The studio is one massive room with curtain dividers. It's very pretty inside. You have to park on the street though so make sure you have enough time for that. Audrey did a great service and gave me some samples afterwards. I'm not sure if I would do the LED light again because it felt very short, but I'm sure I still got the benefits of the light. My face was forsure glowing at the end and the next few days.
