Amazing and unique sushi flavor profiles. Very loud and busy. For sure make a reservation even on a weekday. We sat at the bar. Quick service and every item we got was delicious. We got the end game, stars is born and fantasy. Started with the ahi with lychee martinis, so yummy. Def come again

Dining experience solidified my previous experience with Fudo and raised review to 5 star status! From service to selections to quality products, I thoroughly enjoyed my second encounter. Located in the heart of Chamblee eat/stay/play complex, Fudo shares parking with other vendors. Although limited in front, there was additional parking in the adjacent deck. I was able to secure a spot in the front 2 hour parking spaces. A very vibrant Monday led to a moderate wait for a table; reservations highly suggested. Our party purchased drinks from the bar including the mezcal based Kiss & Tell and the King of Hearts Japanese whiskey with ginger and honey while waiting. We were led to our table moments later. The server was extremely attentive and provided details on menu selections. We selected appetizers including Brussel sprouts, bang bang shrimp and accompanied with warm same. I ordered the Star is Born sushi roll and it was a delicious combination of spicy tuna, crab salad, crunch topped with seared tuna, yellowtail, salmon, spicy aioli, spicy ponzu, scallions, assorted tobiko. Sunshine roll and a tempura scallop roll was also ordered by our party. Their presentations were equally pleasing. Dessert aligned with the great food offerings. We ordered crème brûlée and the Expresso Martini, which included bourbon. Presentation of everything was excellent and taste matched. Looking forward to returning again.

My friends and I came here Friday night and it was my first time dining here. I'm vegetarian and I ordered the GG roll and the A2S roll. Both were very good and filling. I had edamame as an appetizer which was also good. The ambiance inside is dark and moody and the restaurant was packed. Parking in that area is honestly a nightmare. Fudo only holds reservations 10 minutes after the reservation time so make sure you are mindful and arrive early! All of my friends enjoyed their sushi rolls. The waitress was very kind and gave my friend a surprise mochi dessert for her birthday. Overall, my experience was great!

I've been to Fudo plenty of times and it is by far one of my favorite sushi spots. The price is reasonable and taste and quality is great. They have so many options so I always try something new every time I go. Parking is free and in a garage if you can't find any in the small lot. Can't wait to go back again!

If you love sushi, come hungry because the menu at Fúdo is massive (in the best way). It's one of those places where everything sounds so good you'll want to order one of everything. I ordered a few different rolls. Every roll was spot-on fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. You can taste the quality in each bite tender fish, balanced sauces, and just the right amount of creativity without overdoing it. The vibe is sleek but relaxed, perfect for date night, friends' night out, or even a solo sushi splurge. The service is friendly and attentive.

Avengers end game roll on the left was our favorite. Sunshine roll in the middle

I have been here a few times and have tried quite a few different rolls and I am never disappointed. My new favorite roll is Avengers Endgame and is best enjoyed with no sauce because of the flavors. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated since we didn't get on the list in advanced. Service is al ways amazing and our waiter gave great recommendations. Very dimly lit but we sat under a light last time. Still a chill vibe. My favorite sushi place at the moment

There's plenty of parking in the front and around the side. Ambiance was casual/chic, came in with some friends for dinner time near closing so was concerned the food/sushi rice would be old, but it was still fresh and great quality. The hostess and server were both professional and helpful and took great care of us. Favorite of the night was definitely the toro sashimi, it was absolutely buttery smooth and melted in your mouth. All the rolls were full of flavor from the different toppings and sauces, yet the flavor and the freshness of the fish was still apparent. Excited for the next time we come back!

I finally got to try this place out. Everything here was delicious. Their sushi was fresh and delicious, it just melts in your mouth. I didn't order any alcohol because I'm the designated driver but my friend said that they make really good cocktails here. The service was very good, attentive and friendly. Even though it was a busy Friday night, they didn't make me feel rush at all. The ambiance was nice too. I can see the sushi bar as well as the bartenders making drinks. The light was dim with candles on the table. Good for date night or girl's night out.

Sushi galore! There is such a variety of sushi rolls and sashimi to choose from. It's pretty good and fresh sushi for Atlanta! Parking is pretty easy, there's a lot and a deck outside. We were a party of 7 and came for lunch. They would not let us sit unless we had the whole party but the restaurant was empty which was kind of weird. The waitress was slow to respond to our orders and attending us. We got up to get the menus ourselves at one point, but the food comes out quickly. A little pricey, but you're getting what you pay for. Would come back for sushi maybe not for service.

A wonderful late lunch/early dinner was had here. Everything was phenomenal, from the service to the eats. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. Their bao is definitely made in-house. It was so yummy!! I could eat just those for the whole dinner and be satisfied. I liked every roll we got, some less than others. But that had nothing to do with the quality and everything to do with preference. Fúdo provides a dark and a delightfully moody dining experience with black walls and dark drapes hanging around the restaurant. Some of those drapes were at the entrance, which was odd to confront right off. But this place is mysteriously sexy, and this is definitely a spot catered to grown people who want an elevated but edgy dining experience. Sunlight and low lighting finish out the perfect ambience. They are incredibly well-staffed and the staff truly does their jobs. Water glasses were constantly filled without request, and plates were routinely cleared from the table throughout our meal. My experience here reminded me how much I really love spending money at places that truly earn it. The way they train the staff... *chef's kiss*! The only complaint I have is that the restaurant only has one single-use restroom, so there was an extensive and persistent line to use the accommodation. Otherwise, it was a perfect dinner.

Excellent service and food! The ambiance is so sexy and vibey. Great for a date night or girls night out! The price is also really affordable in my opinion.

    How is parking?

Parking can be a struggle depending on the time of day. You have to drive around to find a spot. But don't let that stop you from going. It's worth it

Does fudo his a big party of more than 8 people?

Yes, I've seen them do this. It's going to be cozy, but it'll definitely be nice. The staff does an excellent job taking care of the patrons and everyone is always smiling there. Good luck! Enjoy 😊

Is patio dining available in February? In the rain?

First of all, who wants to see outside in the rain? 😵‍💫

Is there a cocktail menu other than Happy Hour?

    Yes

Why is this called Asian Fusion? All I see in the menu photos is sushi and a few other Japanese options like tempura.

There are a lot of Sushi rolls that are creative and imaginative that I have never seen at other Japanese restaurants. They also seem to have an extensive alcohol selection from around the world. :)

    How's the parking?

Can be a little tough Thursday - Sunday, there's a parking deck, but it fills up.

    Is takeout available?

    Yes!

Is there a price difference from lunch and dinner menu?

    No, same menu.

    Any vegan entrees available?

Yes, lots of vegan options on their menu.

    Do they have ayce?

No, they do not offer buffet style lunch or dinner options.

Do they still have AYCE lunch and dinner options? Their menus on their Facebook page notes all you can eat, so just wanted to confirm.

No, they do not offer all you can eat options for either meal period.

This pages notes a happy hour, what are the specials?

Here on a Tuesday @ 5:20pm and they said they do not have any happy hour specials.

    Do they have brown rice?

    yes they do

It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!

This plaza is also home to the very good Temp Doeloe (check that review) and China Hot Pot (aka Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot). The parking for this plaza is pretty tight but depending on your arrival time you should be able to find a space - might be a good idea to carpool just in case. I attended a meeting here of my regular Buford Highway Restaurant Clawr group - actually we had tried to come here once before but the guy was about to close, so this time we came earlier, only to find that you had to call ahead to get the whole duck (which is what we were the most interested in). This sparse, brightly painted place is more of a butcher than a restaurant - where fans can buy various animal bits like Duck head, neck, feet, wing, tounge or gizzard (similar for chicken), also cuts of beef tripe, stomach and tendon or pork ear, feet and leg. They also have several seafood items like crawfish, river snails and mussels. It's my understanding that this is a particular style of traditional Chinese cooking where the focus is on all the bits that are often discarded in the US. It's for a discerning palate and stuff you might find from street-food vendors in large Chinese cities. For Atlanta this is a way to get flavors you wouldn't otherwise find, perhaps to deal with a longing for home. Thus the clientele is made up mostly of Chinese nationalists. We opted for two very similar dishes (we weren't aware how similar until we got them) - one was a soup with clear noodles and the other basically the same thing without the broth. I thought the broth fairly decent and the bits fairly fresh if very rich. I don't mind tripe, beef stomach, blood sausage and the like but I try to only get it in occasional bites - getting a huge bowl was a bit overwhelming. I think if you're looking for something interesting this might be the place to start - I'm not too sure if I'd have this as a destination. The guy behind the counter was not very engaged, seeming to spend all his time on his phone, basically oblivious to us - I don't think we fit into his typical demographic. If I ever return, I'll know to do better than expect the correct order and check everything before heading out. The crab rangoon was still flavorful but whatever dough they wrapped it with this time was so freaking tough that it cut the top of my mouth. My jaw should not get a workout from eating crab rangoon of all things. Another disappointment in the bag. But the beef entree we ordered was good, yet overshadowed by the other letdowns of the night's visit given that I can't really remember what exactly we ate. I'm going to remove another star for the unhygienic practices I witnessed that I was perhaps blissfully ignorant of my last time visiting. It's hard to look past a server comfortably coughing into their hand and proceeding to handle multiple patrons' plates and orders without as much of a squirt of sanitizer. I will say though they are quite dedicated to the customer. As I was sitting in the parking lot waiting 10-15min for my order to finish, someone clearly forgot their food and the same hacking server ran out to give it to them. Oh wait! Turns out that was actually our food being jostled around as he ran through the parking lot searching for the owner. Best dishes (the reasons to come) 1) Salt and pepper squid This one was excellent. Fried well, not greasy heavy, topped with plenty of fried garlic, plus cilantro and fresh cabbage to balance the richness. Super satisfying and well executed. 2) Dried chow fun with beef Also a standout. Great texture and temperature, well seasoned, and the ingredients felt evenly distributed instead of clumped or uneven. This dish was done right. 3) Eggplant in a small pot Served in a small pot that keeps it warm for a long time, which makes a big difference. There's a lot of sauce, but you can reduce how salty it tastes by how you scoop and serve it. Comforting and flavorful. If you ordered just these three, you'd already have a great meal. Other dishes (good, not amazing) Coconut shrimp The shrimp itself was cooked well, and I appreciated the broccoli on the side to balance the heaviness. The issue was the sauce: way too much. It got soggy fast and leaned too sweet and too salty. Next time, I'd ask for the sauce on the side so you can control it. We also tried a vegetable dish and a fish dish. Both were decent, but not particularly memorable. Tea They serve tea if you order it. The chrysanthemum tea was pretty good, and I liked that it was loose leaf. Atmosphere and service We went around 2:30 to 3:00 pm, so it wasn't crowded. The vibe felt very local and family friendly. It's an older building, but clean enough and inviting. Service was great, and it seemed even smoother if you have someone in your group who can speak Cantonese. Would I return? Yes. I'd come back, especially for the salt and pepper squid, dried chow fun with beef, and the eggplant pot.
