My friend brought me here after we did a 5k, and this was a great experience. This was my first time here and there is alot of sushi options to choose from. I ordered the miso soup with sushi and it was good. I would come back again. The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful. The customer service at the bar was ok.
Loved it here. The ambience was cute. Our wait was decent for a busy Friday night. The appetizers we ordered were very flavorful with a little kick to it. I ordered the rice cakes and she ordered the Tori karaage. We both ordered lychee martinis and I had the Acapulco . We both ordered BTS and it was good. Will definitely come back to try other things.
I stopped into this place for a friends dinner. The ambiance and low dimmed room was aesthetically beautiful and set the mood for a perfect dinner. You def should make reservations as this place gets packed very quickly. The service was perfect. Drinks: Our group ordered some lager beers and aperol spritz. The drinks where poured well and worth it. Food: we tried soo many rolls. My favorite menu items are 1) the amazing Brussel sprouts. 2) BTS Roll. Omg the bulgogi was amazing in this roll. Any sushi ordered was fresh. Price: the sushi was reasonably priced. There was a 12% gratuity added with our croup of 6 folks as well. With 3 sushi rolls, Brussels and 2 beers my tab came out to $69 before $12.80 gratuity. Not bad for the amount of food While leaving I seen an award for top 100 places on yelp! Honestly, this is a amazing spot and I cant wait to come back.
Stopped by for a quick bite during lunchtime! Loveddd the spicy edamamde and really enjoyed the spicy tuna crispy rice and star is born roll. My only complaint is that the rolls are very heavy, lots of rice and sauce, so you fill up super quick. I usually prefer something a bit simpler when getting sushi, but think if this is your vibe then definitely check it out. Service was also great and everyone was very nice.
One of the best sushi spots in the area. Very creative with their rolls. Great ambience. Stellar drinks. Can get busy though. The only thing I wish is if they had some simpler nigiri or maki options for more of a traditional sushi experience too. Menu is large and at times overwhelming but I like the movie names of all the rolls.
Yum! Still love this place. I've never had a bad experience here and that includes the service as well as the food. Severe always friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance is fun and engaging, although it can get noisy at times. Still very busy so reservations may be a good idea. Never had anything bad here and I love it all but I will point out the rice cake appetizer- so good don't miss it. It's like Korean rice cake meets Italian which may sound odd but is delicious!
Service was nice, but slow. My wait time for a table was supposed to be 20 minutes. As 20 minutes turned into 30 I decided to snag a seat at the bar. People were clamoring for these seats so you had to be vigilant. After ordering, our hand rolls and drinks came out quickly. But then the wait for the next roll took another 30 minutes. Hand rolls are now my favorite and I even like them here. But I would hesitate to wait for this long again. Luckily parking was free and an easy walk to Fudo. I'll be back, maybe with a reservation. I recommend 2nd dates since it's a little noisy and sharing cocktails with friends.
I've heard many great things about Fúdo, so I'm finally glad to try it. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks, and it has nice large windows near the seating area. There are areas of the restaurant that can get a bit dark, so be aware of that. This place was PACKED. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation ahead of time to save yourself the hassle! My partner and I ordered a great selection of appetizers, and they were all delicious. The batter for the karaage chicken was different from what I'm used to, but it was perfect. The spicy sashimi salad was the star of the show for me! I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a good balance of fish, spice, and the salad. The sushi rolls were also great as well, but none of them stood out to me except for one roll: 'A Star is Born.' This roll was the best among the 3 we ordered. I am not over-exaggerating when I say that almost every single table around me ordered this roll. I would come back again and highly recommend this place.
Stopped by Fudo in Chamblee for an early dinner and really enjoyed it. The restaurant has a lively, casual atmosphere and was already pretty busy, but service was attentive throughout our meal. For drinks, my friend had the lychee martini, and I had the Chawan. We shared the dynamite shrimp, spicy rice cakes, Brussels sprouts, and two sushi rolls. Everything was flavorful, well-seasoned, and surprisingly filling. A manager checked on us throughout the evening, which was appreciated. One thing to note for anyone dining with little ones: my friend wasn't able to find a changing table in the restroom when she needed to change her baby. Overall, great food, drinks, and atmosphere. If I lived in Atlanta, I'd definitely be back, especially to try their happy hour!
We went here to celebrate my birthday on a weekday night. And surprisingly it was so busy. It's in a mixed used complex with apartment buildings on top and restaurants at the bottom. Right in front of Real Taco. The restaurant itself is super dark inside with modern decor. It was pretty loud because of how busy it was. Service was good and the facility was very clean. Prices were what you would expect for sushi $$$. It was good though, they had a ton of sushi roll selections. Everything tasted fresh. We got so many rolls. I can't remember all the names, but they were all pretty good. I do remember one of my favorites was "a star is born". The crudo was very refreshing and the appetizers cauliflower and brussels sprouts were also very tasty. It had a sweet savory sauce covering the roasted crunchy veggies. Good place to come hang out, mingle, and have drinks any day of the week.
You'll never go thirsty at Fudo! They're constantly refilling your water without you even having to ask. We usually go for both rolls and hand rolls, but this time we stuck with just rolls. This place is seriously underrated and has become our go-to spot for great sushi. We ordered the Fantasy, Mono, Sunshine, and Hot Gossip rolls, and every one of them was excellent. I honestly haven't had a roll here that I didn't like. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is always fast and attentive. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the mood for quality sushi.
I have been wanting to try Fudo for a while, and finally got to come here for a girls night! I was not disappointed! Although we did have to wait over an hour (no reservations), it was totally worth it. We got multiple rolls to share, and I really enjoyed every one. Hope to come back soon and try some more rolls!!
Who would have thought that Atlanta would have some of the best sushi? I was so blown away that I had Fúdo twice on my quick trip here. My friend and I ordered takeout the first time and it was delicious. I got the spicy mega and star is born rolls, and devoured that shi. Second time around we went for a late night dinner on a Monday with no rezzies. The restaurant is super moody- dim lighting and modern furnishings. We got seated immediately and the service was immaculate. To start, we ordered the brussels sprouts and holy moly these were fantastic. Each piece bursting with the creamy garlic ponzu sauce. Get this please. Also, their specialty roll menu is like 50 rolls deep but if you are having a hard time choosing, get a Star is Born roll (spicy tuna and crab inside topped with seared tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and colorful tobiko). I'm still dreaming of this roll because WOW it was that good. We also shared the spicy tuna crispy rice and it too was perfect. Not to mention, the prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food and quality you are getting. This is a petition to bring Fúdo to Los Angeles, please come to the West Coast.

We started on a down note, parking here is not great on weekend nights, plan extra time to find parking. I made a reservation for our party of 4 on a Friday evening, but there were right at capacity so reservations might not always be necessary. The inside is decorated slightly upscale, it was raining, but the outside looked pretty great as well. When the weather is nice, I'm sure dining on the outside patio is enjoyable. We started off with a few drinks, which the group was all happy with. They have some interesting cocktails and a few nice Japanese beers. We had the katsu-don which is a rice bowl with corn, veggies and teriyaki marinated katsu. It was a bit over seasoned, but pretty tasty. Because we were sharing, it was fine but eating the entire bowl might be a bit overwhelming. The sushi menu is super extensive, which a lot of specialty rolls. We opted for a spicy tuna and tomahawk chop roll. Both were tasty. We also had the shrimp tempura which was good. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience. The food was all tasty. While it's not really authentic Japanese sushi, we couldn't complain about anything and liked the meal. read more

Food was good asf, server was nice, and the toro/salmon was worth mentioning too ;) spent $120 after tip and everything but we got 3 rolls, 2 Three pc. Sashimi, and a drink. Honestly worth every penny compared to other sushi restaurants and their serving sizes/quality. Will be back to spend another $100 one day. read more

This place is super adorable and perfect for a cute date night or girls night. The vibes are just great and the service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive. The patio was my absolute favorite. Once we were done with our food, we decided to go and sit around the bonfire. We ordered the Fantasy Roll, Hot Gossip Roll and Bang Bang Shrimp Roll. All three rolls were amazing. However, our absolute favorite was the Fantasy Roll. Will definitely be back. read more

Went here for a date and it was off the chain crowded with people! Luckily, the wait time was only 30 minutes which was good. We were seated at the bar which was okay but I rather sit at a table not close to people. The environment was kind of dark and perfect for a date night or girls night out. They only have one bathroom stall for each gender so I had to wait in a short line to use the restroom, but it was clean. We ordered an app of the firecracker shrimp which was BOMB! Sauce was perfect and it comes with lettuce in a small white bowl. Every sushi roll was named after a movie or tv show (Euphoria, marvel, Mamma Mia, X-men, etc.) which I thought was cute. We went ahead and ordered four sushi rolls. Don't beat me up if I matched the sushi roll with the wrong name lol. The sushi was SO GOOD and will be back for more! Gave it four only bc of the crowded, but the food was a 10. read more

Server forgot our seaweed salad, took it off the bill and didn't want to bring it out as courtesy and fought us about a $5 salad lol hilarious and the food wasn't that great! My friend thought that bc they forgot the order and tried to charge us for it that we should still get a salad. The manager was very unprofessional and a cheapskate. I love the specialty sushis on this menu, very diverse, lots of options. I'm very particular on crunch rolls and it was 10/10. Miso soup was above average, I was shocked the house salad was $5 (a little much compared to other places) but understood when I saw the portion, also yummy. The staff was friendly and attentive, came here for lunch and it was a great atmosphere. Also love the fact that they had high table option (anyone else enjoy sitting high up when eating?) lol Prices were also good compared to other places. Listen!! If you are looking for a new sushi "go-to" spot, THIS IS IT!! I've been to about 4-5 sushi restaurants in Atlanta and this is, by far, THE BEST. I used to go to Czar Ice Bar (R.I.P) a few years back but since they closed I haven't been able to find it's equal. I came here on a Thursday for date night around 8pm. Parking was easy, as they have a private lot with a 3 hour limit and plenty of parking spaces. The interior is very chic and there is dim lighting, which makes for a more intimate, romantic experience. On the other hand, this would be a great place to meet friends or even come for happy hour (they have a full bar). Upon looking at the menu, we noticed the prices were very reasonable so this was a plus. They also have a wide variety of rolls to choose from and they make it clear how many pieces come with each roll (very helpful). I ordered some miso soup and shumai as an appetizer followed by 3 rolls that I would share with my hubby. The miso soup was good but the shumai was my favorite. It came with this delicious mustard sauce that we ended up using with our sushi - it was that good!!! We ordered the Diver, Hot Gossip and X-Men roll. It's hard to pick a favorite, as they were all outstanding. Another thing of note is the service. The staff here is incredibly attentive and friendly from the moment you walk in the door. You will not be disappointed with Fudo! I'm certain it will become one of your favorite sushi spots in Atlanta if not THE favorite. Highly recommended! read more

New sushi place in the Chamblee area, had to try it! We went on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. You can tell the place just opened because they were definitely working out some kinks, overall we liked it and would definitely come back. Parking: not ideal on the weekends, we parked pretty far since the deck was full and no available spots in the lot. Ambience: very nicely decorated, modern, clean. Good date night spot. Service: we walked in, it was clearly busy, however there were many tables open. It took about 15-20 mins to be sat, even though we were the only ones waiting. This would be my only true "con." Our service was good, definitely needs work. There was a manager walking around who was checking on everyone and you could tell he was keeping everyone in line, which I appreciated. I think some servers needed extra coaching and he was doing that. You can appreciate that working in the service industry. Food: now this is why the 4 stars. Food was excellent. We ordered: rice cakes, pan fried dumplings, and brussel sprouts as apps. Spicy Tuna on the rocks, X men, and a hand roll for sushi. All excellent. Only thing I would not reorder are the rice cakes. Too cheesy and too salty. This place has a ton of potential, we would definitely return! read more

Favorite sushi in Atlanta! Stuffed jalapeños, Tuna Poke, and Beef Dumplings are our favorite appetizers but we really haven't ordered any that we didn't enjoy. The Pokémon Roll tops the list when we take any friends or family to Fudo. Also, highly recommend the Gyudon bowl. read more

Visited Fúdo at the recommendation of multiple friends and was not let down! The sweet and spicy shrimp app was so tasty and flavorful. Tried 2 rolls- the avengers end game (at the recommendation of the server) and the firecracker fried (just to play it safe). Wish I had gone with 2 of the specialty rolls the waitress recommended because that avengers end game roll was awesome. I sat at the sushi bar and had awesomely attentive service. There are so many roll options on the menu I'm glad the server was knowledgeable and knew what direction to steer me in. Fúdo is a brand new sushi restaurant in Chamblee. The atmosphere is very modern, boarding on cold. The lights are dim and it has a bar that is lit around the edge giving it a cool feel. Since it's so new, they still had the soft menu on paper. However, the menu was a full menu and had plenty of options. We started with the shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious!!! My husband, who does not like seafood, really enjoyed this dish! I had a sushi roll that was not only fantastic, but also was plenty of food for me. My husband had fried rice with chicken, which I tasted and it was tasty! We also ordered a bottle of red wine. The overall price of our meal was reasonable. For an appetizer, a sushi roll, an order of fried rice and a bottle of wine we paid approximately $62 plus tip. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and will definitely visit again! read more
First time at this place even though I live in the area. The place is bigger than I thought and has a good vibe. I order a old fashion for a drink. It came out with a cover over it and had been smoked, which was a bonus. We order 4 rolls but I don't remember which ones. They were all fresh and really good. Our first time at fudo was DELICIOUS! The table we were at was small and near the bar so it was very loud, but totally worth it for the food. They also have a very nice patio I would love to sit at next time I visit. The stuffed jalapeños were my favorite from the meal... but surprisingly the salad right under was even better! The tuna on the rocks was my boyfriends favorite. Just the right amount of spice and the rice was super crispy! The lord of rings was ok considering it's price and description... (it's topped with A5 wagyu and truffle salt) The drinks were also delicious, can't wait to be back. read more

Out of all the sushi spots in Atlanta, Fúdo has to be my favorite! They have the most extensive specialty sushi roll selection I've seen by far. But my favorite roll by far has to be the Sunshine roll, if you're a fan of raw fish. The tuna hand roll is also a must-order, as it comes with avocado and roe as well. As far as appetizers go, the miso soup, fried dumplings, and house salad are all solid choices. But the bang bang shrimp definitely exceeds expectations--the sweet and very mild spice definitely sets it apart as a unique and memorable started. Definitely recommend! Staff is always super friendly, and the ambiance is trendy but welcoming. When the weather is warm, sit out on the patio! The hanging twinkle lights are adorable and there's plenty of outdoor seating. After discovering this spot, it's always my go-to for sushi! read more

Being a sushi lover, I am always on the lookout for other sushi spots that gain great attention and reviews and Fudo was one spot that I was excited to run and try out. I initially hear about this place by an organizer and we have an event coming soon to give them another shot. That said, this first try was a bit tiring, to say the least. I went with my friend Daral on a Friday night (our first mistake). This spot is really hot right now so if you going to stop by, make sure you do it on off time and not a weekend night as we did. We got there and the wait was not too bad. It was about 20 minutes. I noticed all the smart people there were reservation guests and were quickly seated to kudos to them for that. My sushi was pretty awesome and my friends sushi was not bad as well. The tempura was great but could have been cooked a tad longer. When it comes to the appetizers, food and atmosphere - I would definitely give props. My issue - however, was our waiter. Upon being seated and seeing the menu, we were waiting a bit for our waiter to show up. She finally showed up with no intro, no information of the spot or specials (we later saw on the wall as we were leaving). Opening statement: "Do you know what you want?". Despite that, I tried to ask questions about what was good and got very short and general answers and she sped away before I could get any information never to be seen again (so I thought). After we got our appetizers, it seemed like forever before we finally got our sushi. After that, she literally just vanished and the busboy took care of us from that moment on. He filled our water, cleared our table and eventually brought out our check. I wish I could have tipped this guy because the waiter was a trainwreck. Im just keeping it 100. I know there is hype about this place, but they need to focus on training the staff better. read more

How is parking?
Parking can be a struggle depending on the time of day. You have to drive around to find a spot. But don't let that stop you from going. It's worth it
Does fudo his a big party of more than 8 people?
Yes, I've seen them do this. It's going to be cozy, but it'll definitely be nice. The staff does an excellent job taking care of the patrons and everyone is always smiling there. Good luck! Enjoy 😊
Is patio dining available in February? In the rain?

Why is this called Asian Fusion? All I see in the menu photos is sushi and a few other Japanese options like tempura.
There are a lot of Sushi rolls that are creative and imaginative that I have never seen at other Japanese restaurants. They also seem to have an extensive alcohol selection from around the world. :)
How's the parking?
Can be a little tough Thursday - Sunday, there's a parking deck, but it fills up.
Do they still have AYCE lunch and dinner options? Their menus on their Facebook page notes all you can eat, so just wanted to confirm.
