Absolutely do not use this company. We spent over $20,000 on engineered hardwood flooring for our home, and the installation was handled negligently. This company failed to perform a proper moisture test and did not apply a moisture barrier sealant on the concrete slab prior to installation -- both of which are standard industry practices for slab foundations. We trusted their expertise and assumed any required preparation would be recommended, but it was not. As a result, our downstairs flooring has been completely ruined due to moisture intrusion coming directly from the slab. Instead of taking responsibility, the company is now attempting to shift the blame to us, claiming it's a foundation problem -- which it is not. Moisture levels in concrete naturally fluctuate with seasonal changes, and proper testing and barrier application would have prevented this issue entirely. We are extremely disappointed in both their workmanship and their refusal to stand behind their installation. read more

I worked exclusively with Saif the manager at EZ floors for an entire home renovation. Not only did he deliver on price and helping me stay on budget, but he contracted some of the best painters and workman for the entire job. We painted our entire 2 story home including doors and ceilings, gutted our primary bathroom, extended our shower, put in all new floors in the whole home and tore down a wall between our kitchen and living to create a true open concept. We not only stuck to budget but we also stayed within the 8 week time frame! All new countertops, improved plumbing and all new lighting installed as well. Would give a 5 star if Floor demo wasn't such a huge mess. If you do a job this large I suggest getting a storage unit and moving your things out! Floor demo guys will not handle your things with care and covering is not enough. Otherwise I found that if I wasn't happy with something, all I had to do was ask for it to be done again or cleaned etc. and it was taken care of immediately! Okay so here's a review to explain all the other reviews. With EZ Floors you are getting the best price you will find anywhere period. And you're still getting good customer Service but you don't get a middle man contractor to smooth out any bumps. The next nearest quote I had for my Floors was nearly double...and when I asked the next nearest quote why they were like EZ floors doesn't include quarter inch rounds ( you don't actually need these), float (ez Floors only charge you for what they use - which they can't tell you about before because it depends on the condition of your slab. They used 7 bags for me @ $40 a bag, they told me if I wanted to give myself a budget for float allow for $1000- so $280 was absolutely great) they said that EZ floor only does huge spacing between my wood look tile (the installers asked me if I was cool with them not using spacers so that my tile would look more modern and like wood/ the sacrifice being the transitions may not feel so smooth.) they said that ez Floors don't do transitions...(you don't need transitions with tile!) they said they would mess me around (err this is Houston post Harvey...zero days delay) The difference in my opinion is overstocked shiny showrooms, advertising budgets and sleazy salesmen- this is clearly a family business. They were always so gracious to my family every time we visited the showroom. Mark at EZ Floors came to measure, was informed, always took my call, was a delight to work with, priced out all my crazy ideas, price matched, worked to a deadline, was patient with me - double and triple checked that I was happy...he was upfront and honest about costs and time frames. Can you tell I really liked him.... it took me over 8 months from first contact to install and he never tired of my scatterbrainedness - serious kudos there. I got a great price on my 3 slabs and picked them out at Galaxy Stone before install. Galaxy Stone is also great but that's another review- plus if you are a nice polite person and Begggg they may allow you to get a group 4 for a group 3 price ( just saying that manners and patience and knowing what you want goes very far in this world) I am over the moon with my really quite technical worktops and Floors. They are of beautiful quality and the workmen I had, Eddie for tiles and Jose for countertops could not have been more polite and hardworking- all working into the night many of the days. As with any home renovation project - you will need to be out of your house for a little while - but this whole experience has got me like- I'm doing my master bath, spare bath, stair runner....Mark is your man. The floors are beautiful but they did leave marks all over them and damaged my walls, kitchen cabinets, my brand new refrigerator and dish washer. We still, months later, find chunks of old tile everywhere in the house. On top of cabinets, in closets, bedrooms, etc. The crew has poor communication with each other and no one knew anything or could relay what was going on with the job to us or each other. They make it sound like they will protect everything in the house and that we didn't need to move anything but they really just come in with paper thin plastic that barely drape's anything/ protects anything. We found busted up tile and dust in every square inch of our house, furniture, drawers, etc. at the end of the job the crew shows up at the door and asks for 3 grand more for the "float" that preps the floor to put down the new flooring which is a total scam. Love the product but should have just paid more for a reputable company to come and do the job right. If I could give less than one star I would. They are scammers! The only good thing about this place were the carpenters, they were so polite and very helpful. I believe one of their names was Evan. The people Who sold us the actual carpet, made this experience a living hell. They said that the carpet would be installed that week after ordering it, A week later no one calls or anything. After that we began basically stalking them to try to get a hold of them, and they kept saying they would "call us back", but never did. Everytime I called up they were extremely rude as if it was my fault that noone had called me to let me know why it had been a month and still no carpet. Nightmare. We purchased a home in Spring and were moving from out-of-state. As this was a remotely orchestrated job and we could not be there physically, we needed to trust this company and believe they were describing all aspects of the work. It required being walked through the process. Sadly, that is not what happened. I worked with Ahmed Esaid "AD" via phone and text. He was very hands on to make sure the sale took place but once the job was finished he never sent me photos. I finally received photos and much to my chagrin, they used 1/4 round and stained it to match the floors, something we had not discussed nor did I want in my home. Industry standard is to remove the baseboards. If you cannot do that, then you use 1/4 round (to hide shoddy work!) but paint it white to match the baseboards as it becomes part of the molding. This is a very important aesthetic choice that was not discussed with me. I requested they redo the work but AD refused, and was very argumentatve. He spoke to his manager and they offered a solution AT AN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO ME! I then called the Houston flagship office and spoke with Sam. Sam was more respectful and I believe was trying to work with me but again his solution still required we hire painters, an additional expense. Overall, I would say this was a disappointing experience and I would be wary of working with them. read more

We had our carpet and wood floors replaced by EZ Floors of Spring. A few months later, we had a small hiccup with the wood flooring, and I called Osama (313-465-2056) at EZ Floors. He immediately got his installers involved. They came by this afternoon and fixed the slat to where it is as good as new. I don't usually get such great service after a sale, and I am very pleased that I had bought my flooring from them. While their other salesmen are good, I would highly recommend Osama as he will definitely take care of you, both before the sale and after! BTW, my wood floor is absolutely gorgeous. Beware of EZ Floors part 2. I had to make a new account because there is not enough room on one posting to list all of the damage. Lets review. My walls are still chipped, the baseboards still have holes and dents in them, since no one bothered to sand them. And half an inch has been cut from the bottom of all of my door frames because they can't figure out how to cut tile around the door. We have broken contact with the company at this points and set out to get estimates to fix the damages so we can move back into our home. We have been displaced for over a month. I am a full-time nursing student and my husband is a full time paramedic and works for two agencies. We keep accommodating their schedule to get our house fixed. I have missed school, and he has missed work and they don't bother to show up or even call. I had still been asking for insurance information with no response, asking for a "real managers" name and number with no response, Finally they are afraid we are suing them. At this point, we were promised under the baseboard installation with no caulk or quarter round. If you can't do it, then say so MARK!! On Friday, April 20th, more than a month in, I receive a call from a man named SAM, who is he "REAL" manager, who wanted to come out on the following WEDNESDAY. Five more days. He comes, with Geraldo and Mustafa. They all agree that the floors are unacceptable, the walls and base boards are also unacceptable. The red chalk lines can still be seen on my walls. Sam noticed the mismatch color on everything before I could even show him. He offered to redo the entire job if would bring resolution. All I want are the broken tiles replaced, the walls textured and painted the right color and baseboards sanded and painted the right color. Again more promises. Again more crickets. I had to keep texting him asking when when when?? Another painter came "Antonio", I have his card, he said he could fix it and would give me a cash price to paint the walls in the living a color I actually like. When he quoted me $2100. I said no way. The labor is already being paid for by EZ Floors and I would purchase separate paint. Nothing sneaky. Then he said $800, again I said that was too much for one room they were going to paint anyway with builders color, I just wanted to pick my own now that we have gone this long in a crappy house. I told him no thank you and to paint it the builder color. I have those texts too. Then Sam texted me saying that "Antonio" was already booked up and couldn't do my painting anymore. Pretty convenient timing and very shady. Sam texted me that he was sending the painter who painted his house out on Monday the 7th of May and a tiler named Santos out today, he 6th of May between 9 and 11 am. We blue taped the broken and chipped tiles for the THIRD time. Well, its 2:12 pm and crickets. We sat here all day, yet again, to get stood up for at least the 6th or 7th time from EZ floors with no call or text. I texted Sam, the "manager" at 11:38 asking where his guy was. Still haven't heard a word from him. Crickets. Guess now it is court time. We have been more than fair. This is day 48 of "camping" in my house waiting for a resolution from this company. I have all texts, emails, voice mails and hundreds of photos. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME!! LIE, CHEAT AND STEAL. I graduate Saturday the 12th. Sam promised me my house would be ready for my party. It won't be. Ruined Easter and now I have to rent a venue for my party, which I will also be suing for. Let me add this, After MARK promised installation by mid Feb, and we found out later that installation would not take place until the 3rd week of March, I asked to walk away from the deal. He said I signed a contract and pretty much sorry about my luck. He said the tiles were ordered. I asked for a copy of the invoice which he refused to provide to me. I later asked "manager" Sam for an invoice and he stood in my living room and told me they buy in bulk and not per individual order since the tile we chose is the most popular, they keep it on hand. Another lie from MARK who so desperately wanted my commission. It is costing them a LOT more now, since we have actual and punitive damages. I also asked Mark if we could just buy the tile from them and have it installed ourselves. Got another song and dance about how the price includes the install, yada yada. Mark cost your company a lot of money EZ Floors et al!! I am so disgusted every time I look at my home. This is supposed to be our safe place. It is disgusting and damaged beyond belief. I hope the commission was worth the lawsuit. I also have a recording of EVERY TIME they came to my home and they promises they made us. Pays to keep my phone handy. It is legal in Texas. BEWARE PT ONE! I wish there was an option for ZERO! We purchased our tiles from Mark. He came to my home, stood in my living room and promised me the tile would go under the baseboard. I stressed to him that I did not want caulk or quarter round. I would have gone a different direction if they could not accommodate me. He told me my installation would be Mid Feb due to Harvey, we ordered in December. Work didn't begin until March 19th. We were told we would have to stay in a hotel for the 4 day process. Fine. The night I came home I was appalled. There were upwards of 30 tiles that were chipped on the corner or so badly jagged on the sides due to a dull blade that were still installed! Eddie and his crew destroyed my house. I have Knicks and chips in every room that they worked in. The walls were covered in red chalk line dust and filthy hand prints. ALL OF THE WALLS. They ripped the black out shades out of our bedroom (Eddie/Erick). He told me he was Eddie, but his help called him Erick. They were more than an hour late every day they came while we sat here and waited. The final two days they sent people who didn't speak a word of English and we could not communicate with them. We used a Spanish app on the phone to tell them it look awful and tiles were broken and installed anyway. They shrugged their shoulders and left. Every baseboard of EVERY room they worked in is gouged and has nail holes and dents where the ripped the carpet strips up with a crowbar and let them bounce off the walls. I offered them the use of a level, as they didn't bring one, or a ladder or flood lights. I emailed Mark and Eddie/Erick the same night they finished, with hundreds of damage photos, giving them the chance to make it right. Eddie/Erick and Marck came out and agreed A LOT of tiles needed replaced, the walls needed retextured and painted and the baseboards and door frames needed sanded and repainted. Eddie/Erick called his friend "Gregory" who came to take a look. They whispered in Spanish in the hallway to agree on a "friend price". So "Gregory shows up, also with no ladder, lights, tape and a gallon of the WRONG color paint for a house full of baseboards and door frames and half of a 5 gallon bucket for several rooms and hallways with 12 ft ceilings the WRONG color and spot painted making it worse than before. They ran out of paint and left the walls and baseboards looking streaked and since they only painted the bottom of them, they are also two toned. Gregory stood me up two different times as well saying first that his pipes broke, and the second day his truck was stolen and he had to go find it. He sent his brother and a helper who didn't speak English. I asked him in Spanish where is brother was and he said "He have very big job today. He no coming." Please note that the tiles not only did NOT go under the baseboards, they didn't even reach the baseboards. They tried to hide their goof with extra grout and caulk, WHICH I DID NOT WANT. I made more calls to Mark who is mouthy by this time. Demanded that any further correspondence be in writing and I would not answer the phone. I sent over hundred more pictures. All the while I am trying to get ahold of a manager but Mark refuses to provide a number. Finally I get a call from Geraldo, the "manager of claims and damages" with a yahoo email address. I explained to him that this had gone on for so long that now my EASTER had been ruined because our house was still NOT FINISHED and looked worse than ever, in addition to the oil stains they left in my driveway. Geraldo set up a meeting to come out to my house and look, promising everything will be ok and they will fix it. I have voicemails and texts to prove it. After he was half an hour late after giving me a two hour window, I had to text him to find him. He was apologetic and said he was leaving now, that he forgot about me and would be here in an hour. OVER an hour later, someone other than Geraldo shows up. This time it is Mustafa, also a "manager of claims and damages." We did a walk through and I showed him all of the damages. Keep in mind my house is still empty, weeks later, sleeping on an air mattress on the floor because they keep promising to come and never show up. Another week passes and crickets. Finally a painter comes to the house, Mustafa said he painted his house and did great work. The painter said there is so much damage, that it will cost more to fix my walls, floorboards and doorframe's than I paid for the tile. He said he could fix it but didn't think EZ Floors would pay his price. Days later, Mustafa tells me the painter can't fix it. In my head I am thinking they wouldn't approve his bid. Don't they carry insurance?? At this point, we are more than 4 weeks in, in an empty damaged home. We are ready to go to court. I e-mailed and texted EZ Floors to not contact me again as we had been more than patient. All we wanted was the damage fixed. read more

This company has wasted my time. I took my three children in to pick out what we needed in a home we were purchasing. It took over an hour and I walked away happy with what we had chosen. David then came out to the home and measured and has NEVER sent me a quote despite promising me daily it would be there the following day. Since we don't own the home yet, we cannot just have multiple contractors come out to measure. Sounded too good to be true, so we went into their store on Eldridge Parkway and met Omar. From the time we walked in we felt like we were in good, knowledgeable (and experienced) hands. Also, the product from the ad was actually spot-on for what we were after; Anderson hardwood floors in a dark stain - high quality and affordable. So we had them come out and signed a contract. We had numerous issues with this company: (1) The estimator cancelled or did not show several times. He gave us a total for laminate flooring and carpeting, but would not break down costs for each. (2) Our freshly painted baseboards were scratched up during installation. We brought this to the attention of the office, but there was no offer to repair it. (3) The carpet installers left debris all over our bathroom and tried to hide it by closing the bathroom door. (4) A 4x4 ft. square of the laminate flooring they installed at the front entrance was a completely different color than the rest of the floor. I had to call several times in order to get this resolved. (5) Our laminate flooring scratched up in several places less than 8 months after it was installed. Sam promised to call the manufacturers about the warranty and get back to me, but never did. He stated that they would have to charge us to re-install it, even though we had spent more that $3,000 for the job. (6) Phone calls were not returned promptly, if at all. read more

After numerous trips and working through the details of installing new granite countertops, new backsplash and new tiled entry and kitchen floors the price went up three times. I ending up going over my budget because I loved the items I selected. After providing half down payment for a $7500K job and waiting a week to hear about the installation date I called and was told they made a mistake on the estimate and I would have to pay another $500.
