We hired At Home Expert (AHE) to do the remodeling to both bathrooms. Also to do the tile and backsplash in the kitchen. (Laundry room too). We did not have AHE do the cabinets but, I wish I would have hired them for that as well. At the time I did not know AHE did cabinets as well. They do it ALL! I went to the AHE showroom and met with Evan Rousan. We have used Evan R. before on a different home and he did an EXCELLENT job on it , so why use someone else. Plus, he is just a really nice man! Evan helped me design my 2 bathrooms and pick out great back splash and flooring for the house. I had a budget set in my mind and he helped me stay on it. Evan also gave me some advice on what would look good & what would not. I really appreciate that! He was not just trying to make a sale. The tile selection at the showroom was fantastic, just what I was wanting. While Evan's crew was doing all the work at our house, we decided to have them paint almost all of the inside of the house and paint the fireplace. (I love how the fireplace and mantel came out!) We scheduled a time but due to another job he had that he couldn't get away from called me in advance to let me know we'd have to reschedule. I had to go with someone else since I needed it done asap but I appreciated the phone call nonetheless. He even followed up a few days later to see if I still needed the job done since he hadn't heard back from me. Definitely keeping his number saved in the event I need his services in the future.

Jacquie has been nothing but incredible as was the installation team. So a few things stood out to me with this whole experience. First, I saw the pricing of our existing LVP (we wanted to match it in the bedrooms after removing the carpet) on the manufacturer website at a specific price but when I got quotes elsewhere, they all upcharged in varying amounts but not Jacquie! Second, the team who came to install the flooring was employed by this company, not a contracted out group which to me means they take pride in their work as it reflects directly on the company. They were on time, very professional, cleaned up any footprints along the way, and in one difficult spot they took the time to really figure out how to make it work correctly the first time. My husband actually used to lay flooring years ago and even he was impressed with the quality of the work! We are so happy to have consistent flooring now throughout the house and I can finally relax and have guests stay without worrying about carpet holding smells that I am nose-blind to! The team that laid the floors were professional and efficient. You can tell that this team has worked together for quite a while because everything flows smoothly. Abel, Peter, Elijah,and Daniel were their names. I suggest that you asked for this team when it comes to laying down your floors. So the company gets an A+ for laying down wood flooring. Also the office rep whose name is Jacquie gets in a plus because she went out of her way to ensure we chose the floors we needed. She goes above and beyond when it comes to helping the clients. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I'm sure the company gets a lot of business because of her wonderful customer service. And most important the company gets an a++ for pricing. You cannot beat their pricing anywhere, believe me I tried. I suggest if you find a wood sampling that you like at another store bring it to their store and if they can beat the price. I did that a few times and they always came about $2.50 under the asking price of the other company. Now there's a few things to be aware of that I learned doing this process if you are changing your floors from tile to Wood. I went with the dust free company that they use but that does not mean you will not get dust over everything because there are other processes like laying down the float and dealing with it. it produces a lot of dust in your home. I had to dust every article in my home and cabinets when the process was completed. I would definitely recommend that you speak with the team that they use to come out to take up tile to ensure that they cover all of your items in your bookshelves and on your counters completely or you need to ensure that there is nothing left out on any counters. So, if I could critique anything I felt that the team that came out to break up tile could have done a much better job at covering the bookshelves and the things on the kitchen counter. But now I know, so I'm passing on this information to others. Also another thing to be aware of if you are getting tile taken up. You will definitely get damaged to your baseboards. I was not aware of that and I didn't have any issues in the room that had carpet in them but the baseboards in the rooms that the tile were taken up looked pretty bad because the paint was pulled up off of the baseboards when they took up the shoe mold or quarter round. When they do this, it also takes off some of the paint from your baseboards and you will be left with baseboard shock like I was because I wasn't aware of this beforehand. So I ended up spot painting all the areas that the paint came off of my baseboards and that fixed the problem but I just wasn't aware beforehand that pulling off the quarter rounds would peel off your paint from your baseboards. So just be aware and plan to either repaint your baseboards after your wood is put down or replace them. Now, if they are just pulling up carpet you will not have this issue. So in the end even with the issues with the baseboards due to the tile being pulled up and having to touch up my baseboards I would do it again because my floors look beautiful. See pics attached for the dust that was left on the counters, the condition my baseboards were left in and last but not least the beautiful flooring. Hopefully this review helps if you are transitioning from a tile flooring to wood flooring. It has been over a week now and I'm still loving my wood flooring.

It hurts me to write this, but I feel I have to share our experience so others can be cautious…read more We hired Home Repair Dudes, owned by Guliyev Mursal (who also goes by "Mark"), for multiple home improvement projects. We read 5 star reviews on this company, but no way those reviews come close to what our experience have been. We are also reading reviews of work he has supposedly completed in the last few weeks and find this concerning, especially since he has told us he was depressed and was in bed, and unable to work. He stated that once he recovered, he would return to finish our project and possibly begin driving for Uber. The timing and volume of these recent reviews raise serious questions. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. At best, the crew seems capable of basic painting, and even that required close supervision. He promised to repair all cracks before painting, but only some were addressed, with repeated promises to come back later for the rest. We were sold on hardwood flooring with claims of a 100 year lifespan and unlimited resurfacing. Without our knowledge, refurbished wood was used instead. The floors are already making loud squeaking noises. The turf installation was poorly done. There are potholes throughout, no level surface, and the areas around the trees are messy. Grass is already growing through the turf. Sand was dumped directly on top of the grass and not properly removed, and leftover turf was left sitting on the lawn, killing the grass underneath. turf not anchored and he only used weed barrier around the trees. Plug covers removed for painting were misplaced, so they are left bare now. He removed our backyard tiles before even securing a contractor to replace them. His plan was to install tiles before painting the walls, but when he could not find someone, he painted anyway, promising to power wash the walls later because debris from the areas without tiles repeated splashed on the freshly painted walls everytime it rained. 6 months later, the tiles are still not installed. He told us two months ago, that the person he contracted with, wanted more money for labor and we offered to pay the difference. just so our work can be done. One contractor he sent out started installing the tiles, before ensuring a leveled surface and before the tiles on the sides and the door was removed. Yet he stated the tile guy was the best in Houston. The contractor also proposed for the new tiles to go the existed tiles. We also discovered that interior paint was used on exterior trim. We only found this out when workers he sent for touch ups told us directly. Additionally, drains were not marked before removal, so they were reinstalled incorrectly. This has caused water to collect improperly in our yard during rain. He built a wine room but has yet to complete it. Lights and shelving are still missing. He placed tiles here without grout and left some areas open. Although our contract included a kitchen remodel, we chose not to proceed until the existing incomplete work was finished. We had been paying in installments, and the amount paid now exceeds the value of the work completed. In total, this company owes us around $5000 in work paid for and yet to be done. Payments made were supposed to cover: Replacement of a cracked window Driveway touch up Backyard tile work Garage shelves Front door waxing One kitchen tile Tiles in two areas in the back These items are completely paid for but remain unfinished. He left in December stating he needed knee surgery. When he returned, he gave personal reasons for delays and asked for more time, yet we later learned he was taking on other jobs while ours remained unfinished. They broke our sprinkler system and promised to repair it but have not done so. They also entered our garage without permission, took items such as a ladder, brooms, shovels, and cords, used them, left them unclean and disorganized, and damaged some. Additionally, they entered the house wearing shoes without using protective shoe coverings. This contractor has received a number of positive reviews within the past month, which coincides with the time we sent him a certified letter regarding our concerns. This timing raises questions about whether those reviews were strategically posted to offset negative feedback he anticipated. We gave this company so many chances because we understand the struggles of some small businesses. Overall, this has been a stressful and frustrating experience. Mursal is an Irresponsible contractor with consistent failure to complete contracted work, Exhibits deceptive or misleading business practices and lacks integrity and accountability in fulfilling obligations. We strongly recommend exercising extreme caution when considering Home Repair Dudes or Guliyev Mursal, who also goes by Mark.

The installers were very professional, polite, and respectful of our home. Sam was always just a phone call away whenever we needed anything. They helped move furniture around, remove and reinstall toilets, as well as unhooked/reinstalled our stove/appliances. There were a few minor issues after the job was done (minor cosmetic), which can be expected when your entire house is re-floored. The doors are peeling and hanging off the hinges Whereas, my cabinets from Durastone are wood doors and not wrapped in whatever material my other cabinet is made of. I have been shopping for a 60" large vanity and getting price between $1500 and $1900. At Durastone, I worked with Amy to design cabinets to fit the space. She is such a friendly and helpful person. I sent her measurement and pictures. She sent a recommended design with a price. I went into the store and selected grey shaker cabinets and added my second bathroom which was 36". My price for both cabinets was under 1500 They installed and removed old cabinets as well. I am working with Amy to update my laundry room into an appliance room with cabinet and countertop.

While we are very happy with the final results, getting to the so-called "finish line" proved to be…read morea bit of a challenge. That is the reason for this update. This remodeling project was begun around July 21, 2022. About three and one-half weeks later, the job was listed as complete and we were once again able to use this bathroom. However, during the following week, we had to have someone come out again to make repairs: hot/cold water in the shower was flipped; hole along the tile and baseboard discovered; silicone was coming off the niche area in the shower; caulking was incomplete around the perimeter of the shower floor. Once those repairs were made, we thought that finally we were done. Nope. The paint on the ceiling started to peel above the shower. A lot. Finally had the painter return to repair that and we thought, once again, we were done. Apparently not, since we were told the ceiling was "fixed," but something different was evidently told to Roberto. After another week, the entire ceiling showed pieces of paint peeling off. Called for another repair. This time, Roberto came out and told us that the ceiling hadn't been done right in the first place and our only option was to tear out the entire ceiling and start over at an additional cost of $450. That did not sound like a reasonable idea, so it was then suggested that the ceiling texture be redone instead and painting would be done with eggshell (semi-gloss) paint rather than latex paint. We accepted that solution and waited for it to be fixed, finally. Painter came out and did the work at the end of September, but in total we were once again out of that bathroom for 5 days waiting for texture, primer and paint to dry. However, this seems to have truly repaired the problem - thank goodness. Then I get emailed an invoice for $350 for the ceiling repair. Wow. Paid that invoice on September 27, 2022: almost 10 weeks after the job was begun. Unfortunately for Roberto and his crews, though, he was what you can call "penny wise and pound foolish." We had informed every contractor that gave us a bid for this bathroom that based on our experience, we would then move forward for the really big job -- a complete remodel of the master bathroom -- a much larger and more expensive project. Because of the 6-week drag after "completion" and delay due to the ceiling repairs (along with other fixes) and the $350 invoice we received, we did not even consider a bid from Kitchen & Bath Remodeling for our master bathroom. Chose another contractor instead.

My wife and I are very pleased with Roberto's technical team. We had a bath tub removed and replaced with a walk-in shower. We picked out the new material with the help of Doris (Robert s wife and store manager). All new materials were selected from their showroom. They replaced the countertop with great stone top and all plumbing faucets were replaced. Two years ago, we remodeled our master bathroom and we loved the job these guys did. If you have a remodel job, you should give Robert and Doris a call before hiring anyone else. Reasonable price and first class personal service from job requirements quote to final job completion.
