Bought a house and decided to replace all the flooring with tile. We went to FFL, picked a pretty tile @ good price & financing options. The installation team finished the job early - 4 days instead of 9 - and the floors look really good. That's the good, now for the bad ... Issue #1: attractive financing (10% down & no interest for 4 years) didn't happen. I said we would probably pay it off early, so we got 1 year no interest. Issue #2: The installation process was a huge disappointment. I found grout residue in places it shouldn't be: walls, baseboards & doors. And the bathroom sink stopper was grouted shut. I understand: it's a construction zone in your house! But this was careless, sloppy, unprofessional work. Issue #3: We were at the house yesterday and accidentally discovered that most of the windows were open! For a week!?! Since the install team left?!? And it rained? Great. I hired a professional cleaning service to clean the house before we moved in - even they were shocked at how dirty the house was. 2+ cleaners & 6 hours to clean it! Deep Clean Texas did a great job and the house looks great! I expected FFL to handle installation with more care and respect for a customer's home. I'm really irritated by the lack of attention to detail and basic cleanliness that I received. So, no, I do not recommend FFL. The price may be good, but the Hassle Factor is just too high for me. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for FFL. Future customers deserve a service that leaves them with beautiful floors, not additional work to clean up. FFL posted a reply to my Google review: sweet words and empty promises don't reimburse me the $700 it cost to clean our trashed house and who knows what it will cost to remove all the grout from EVERY. Lacks communication. They outsource the installation. Messy installers, like others mentioned, concrete on walls and other areas of the house. Won't clean properly after installation. Have to be with them to remind about the missing grout concrete. The tiles are not always at their warehouse and they don't follow up properly with the vendors. Can't trust them with your plans. They don't really care once they get your money and business. My suggestion is to avoid this middle man, find an installer, get your materials online etc. if you decide to go with them, keep an eye on their calculator. Nothing will be transparent on their bill, like material cost, installation cost. It's all what comes from their mouth. Make sure you know your measurements.I was in a hurry and it's my fault of hiring this company. Learned my lesson and I say stay away from them.2 stars for giving me a credit and getting the work done. read more

We recommend the Floors for Living - Spring location! Nathan Taylor is our salesperson and is very knowledgeable and gives his educated opinion and suggestions. He went through so many pricing scenarios with us and was very helpful in helping us make the right decisions based on our current and future budget. Their tile installer Ali was great and took care of our tile surround outside our fireplace. Their carpet installers were also very good and helpful as well. Paid $9700 for flooring in my 2200 Sq ft home. To have my cupboards damaged and to never get a call back from the "sales guy" nor the follow up caller to ask about the satisfaction of the service who said they would both call me back it's been 2 months since install and I'm still waiting for a return call. They're sloppy installers, left cement all over the baseboards of my home, reported this to the follow up team and they said they would schedule a clean up within 2 days...... still waiting. I wouldn't recommend them at all. Tons of calls and follow ups until you pay they want your business but after you pay them they're like ghost. read more

First, you have to pay in full upfront. Second, we have tile flooring throughout our one story home. They did not take out all the old floor at one time. They took out tile and half of the mortar, when they started laying our wood floor. They laid it up to the mortar that still needed to be jack hammered to remove which the dust and pieces were landing on the new floors. Did not cover the new flooring and was walking through the demolition and then on the new wood floor. Third, we were shorted three full boxes of flooring, which we paid for, that also means the installers got short changed as well as us. Fourth, there was glue left throughout the house. Made a appointment for them to come back and clean it up, they confirmed it two days in advance, then no showed. When they finally called, rescheduled for another week, because it was more convenient for them. The flooring was not the same color we ordered, took our flooring to the store and it was in the same family. First of all, I absolutely love the wood-look porcelain tile that Floors for Living installed in my dining room; see photos. I had the work done in March 2020. I love that my new floor is so easy to clean; hides dirt; and is textured so not slippery when wet. My dogs seem to like lying on it as well. The porcelain tile replaced some cheap builder-grade laminate that was there before. My only complaints are two. First, the installer, a young Hispanic guy, left some areas where grout was missing. Not a huge deal as he left the extra supplies behind when he was done so I filled in the grout areas myself. My second complaint - and really my biggest - is that I felt the salesman, Anthony LaGrippo, could have called me after the job was done to see how it went. No call at all to check in on my satisfaction, etc. Very disappointing considering I paid cash for the project and it was a simple job. At the very least I think a salesperson should be able to call you and see if everything was done as planned before closing out the sale. I used Floors for Living in the past and worked with a guy named Curtis who was phenomenal. If I need any more work done by Floors for Living I will ask to work with someone other than Anthony. P.S. Used floors for living based upon a neighbor's initial review who then had warranty problems after we had commited and purchased our flooring. The initial crew showed up and did a very bad job installing their product. From Cement running down the risers on the stairs which is very visible, to open gaps on the corners of the stairs due to improper cutting of the risers to mount flush as they should. We have had multiple appointments set to have this work corrected (4 in total) and each instanced they have had anything from car trouble, to not having the proper material to fix the problems. It is a bit frustrating to spend this amount of money, have to adjust work schedules to be home for each apppointment to then have no resolution to issues caused by the installation crew themselves. Ultimately I would say the follow through from the installation has been the major issue along with the errors made themselves. read more

Did a great job on the floors, which look beautiful, but it took 6 months to get them to come out and do the work and they damaged our home by being sloppy. They should have just done a conscientious job from the start. Instead, each time they came out to fix one issue they would damage something else. Hired them to replace a carpet in my front stairwell and upstairs living room as I prepped to sell my home. Worked with Nathan to arrange the time and date and was told the size of the job would take only about 2 to 3 hours. The morning of the install (Friday of Labor day weekend) 8 of their workers show up with my new carpet to do the job. They tear up and the carpet and the mat underneath, throw the old carpet on to my lawn, then suddenly say they're on the wrong job and walk out the door. After calling Nathan in a panic (I had pictures for the listing scheduled the next day) he claimed the install department made a mistake and the 8 workers were somehow not meant to be at my home, despite having all the materials to do the job. When I mentioned this, Nathan had no response. He claimed there was also no one else to do the job, but when I pressed him he finally said more people would he coming out by 2pm. This is now 4 hours after the scheduled start time. Come 2pm only ONE PERSON showed up to do the job. When he came inside and looked at the job, he stated he wasn't even sure he could complete it. He also mentioned he had spoke to the previous workers and the reason that they left was that they saw how much effort it was going to take because of the number of staples, and decided they weren't going to do it. This particular person then spent the next 8 hours removing the staples to prep for the new mat install. So what was supposed to be an easy 2 hour job now turned into an all day affair disrupting my schedule and causing a delay to listing my home. The same gentleman came out the next morning around 11 once again by himself, to install the new mat and carpet. During the process he banged up the brand new trim in the room (the room had just been remodeled), left marks on the newly painted walls, and broke the connecting tile where the threshold meets the bathroom. I addressed all this with Nathan who didn't seem to bothered by it, but as I pressed for this issue to be fixed asap he finally got around to trying to find a contractor. He claimed he couldn't find anyone after several hours, so I enlisted my contractor who remodeled the room for me in the first place. Nathan did nothing but complain about this and only agreed to pay a fraction of the invoice leaving me to foot the remainder. When asking about a refund, he claimed we weren't eligible for one, and when asking to speak to his manager he claimed he couldn't get a hold of him. This company requires not only an upfront deposit but also charges you the remainder ONE WEEK before the job is done. Absolutely unprofessional company. Avoid at all costs. read more

Normally when leaving a review, I only give 5 star reviews because I believe in speaking with someone in person if I have a problem. As a matter of fact I cannot remember EVER leaving even a 1 or 2 star review. Being a reasonable person I do not expect perfection when I myself am imperfect. I do expect basic human kindness, communication, and integrity. The manager Jared was very charismatic. Buyer beware of grand gestures of how they are the best. They do this by putting down other flooring companies to make themselves look better, just look at their displays . That should have been my first warning. A business who has to market and make a sale by putting other companies down says A LOT about a company. My husband and I spent tens of thousands of dollars with them. We paid 98% as a down payment and they removed our floors. AFTER our floors were removed we were told our floors were not available and we would need to wait until the end of April or beginning of May to get the floors. Because they had already taken the flooring out we felt as if we were stuck. We had to move in with relatives for months. The manager Jared of was rude, laughed at our situation (because we were stuck with them) and I could never get a word in because he constantly spoke over me. Very poor customer service. ( One of the Floors for Living employees told me they had damaged an outlet, so I called the manager tell him about it, that is what part of the conversation was about). I asked to speak to an owner and he said that he pretty much was one since he had been there from the start of the company. We believed we needed to speak with someone higher in the company so my husband made a call. Jeff "the higher up" said he would look into it and he apologized and said this was not the way they did business. He said they had had problems with that manager. Jeff said he would speak with the owner and get back with me. I finally thought we were in good hands. When my husband and I finally got in our home (yay!) The flooring place, helped us move 5 pieces of furniture so we could have a place to sleep that night (it was after 7:30 pm). They said they normally would not help with that but because they finished so late they would help out. When moving the furniture they damaged our walls and cussed at my husband. It was just incing on the cake of a horrible experience. Jeff "the higher up" told us he would speak with the owner. Jeff also told us that they had had many problems with that manager and that he had even received a phone call that day from another lady complaining about that SAME manager. He told us he would make it right with us. They did not. They sent an email saying that they were sorry we had a bad experience. Floors for Living is the most abhorrent company I have ever done business with. I tried to speak with the manager who was awful followed by a higher up in the organization, who either has not the power to do what is right or does not care. They are full of excuses and are disappointing. I write this only to warn other people. I will never do business with them again nor can I in good conscience recommend them to anyone. read more

With their BOGO sale - their price was more than double any flooring store quote I had received (I have been to 4). When I was told $35,000. for very basic porcelain tile....wow. I paid top dollar for a small 135 sf laminate flooring because of the supposedly excellent warranty. I had 5 visits from the installers and they were hours late every time. 1st install he shows up at 1:30 for a morning appointment. After installation the floor was collapsing in one section of the floor, padding was bunch up adjacent to laminate and the adjacent carpet was cut too short and was not tucked under molding. House was left dirty. 3 appointments later they finally show back up and fixed the sinking floor. But he did not install the molding correctly and it wobbles when you step on it. He also tracked stain on my new flooring and carpet. If you buy from this company you will get 3rd rate non English speaking installers who don't give a damn about quality. Also got lip service from salesman trying to convince me that the floor is supposed to sink...not! I can't recommend this company....poor customer service and false warranty. read more

I ordered carpeting for two rooms from this store. The initial installation was disappointing in that the installers left visible seams. I contacted the company about this. Two of the managers came out to see the problem. They both acknowledged that the installation was not proper. The company completely replaced and reinstalled all of the carpeting at their expense. Said he'd call back with a quote- I called today (Tuesday) morning and left a message, no call back, called about 3 other times trying to get through. Finally did and Josh said Jared told him to give him the quote request on Friday and he had given my info to Jared but that Jared was with client and he'll call back after he's done. I call about 3 hours later and ask Josh if Jared was still with client and Josh said Jared said he doesn't want to call you. Because the carpet I requested was commercial. when my wife and I decided to replace our floors we went into this floors for living location and initially were impressed. It DID NOT TAKE LONG FOR THAT TO CHANGE! We gave the floor rep Jared the approximate sq/ft of the areas that would be addressed based on numbers we received from previous floor companies. He used this info and worked up an agreement which we signed and paid for. The next day he came out to our house to drop off a sample of the floor we were considering and get some exact measurements of the space. When he finished I asked him what was the total sq/ft and he said he did not do the math, but he would let me know the next day when he got back to work. Jared did not call, but instead sent a text message saying that he would need $400 MORE because we were nearly 150 s/ft off. My wife called to speak to him and he was not the eager or helpful person we met the day before. He made a smart comment about not reducing the price and even said that we can continue the job with the previous sq/ft , but they would leave the other rooms undone because there would not be enough material to complete them. This is not how professionals should conduct themselves. He also supposedly gave us the number to customer service, but some random guy in their warehouse answered the line. He seemed surprised that we called. Later I asked Jared if he could come back out to our house to re measure the spaces and show me the numbers on site once he finished, but he steadfast said that it was an unreasonable request and he would not. Instead he said if you come to our office I will show you what I did or refund your $$. If this sounds like an ASSHOLE it is because he was acting like one with us on the phone. Excellent flooring company! This is our second purchase through them and we could not be happier. The sales staff is very professional and super knowledgeable about their products. Curtis was our salesperson and he stayed in touch throughout the entire process. We appreciate his timely responses to questions/concerns and his commitment to helping get the job done on schedule and done right. Our job was scheduled to take 3 days and only took 2! The men who laid our laminate wood moved furniture and finished two bedrooms in just a few hours. We are super happy with the attention to detail and how beautiful/perfect their work came out. The work was done upstairs and we love that the floor is so much quieter with the barrier they put between the wood and the base floor (Even quieter than when we had carpet!) The second day of work consisted of laying carpet on our stairs. This was a time consuming project but the gentleman who came to install was very professional and super detailed. When we were looking to remove the carpet in our home and have laminate installed, I wasn't sure where to start. I was recommended by a friend to Floors for Living. As soon as I met Curtis, I was impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and his desire to find exactly what we were looking for. He answered all questions, kept his appointment to measure our home, and was always available to answer more of my questions. We chose Knoa laminate- Maple Coffee. The laminate has been wonderful for our family of 4, with our 4 dogs! The floors are very easy to clean, and it's just what I have always wanted since deciding to get rid of carpet. The crew that installed our floors were very punctual, professional, tidy, careful with our furniture, and impressed us by their speed. They were able to do their job in two days!
