Each individual sub contractor that was sent out to the house were absolutely the most friendly, respectful, punctual and skilled artisans in their craft. The electricians were super sweet and always punctual and efficient with their time. The painters were so nice and friendly and incredibly hard workers. They showed up early and literally worked non stop all day each day that they came. Pablo, the head carpenter and all of his guys were so talented and really worked hard to produce their best work! I'll admit I'm a very detailed oriented person to a fault and they really managed to exceed our expectations!! From the initial consultation with Leslie and Naser, there was no doubt who we wanted to do our remodeling. They took our vision and ran with it. We ended up doing more than the planned remodel. We were very pleased with Leslie and her team during our recent house renovation project! Both Leslie and our project manager Jonathan were very responsive and willing to discuss and listened to our feedback. We appreciated the 2D drawings and the 3D rendering at the beginning of the project which helped us visualize the new design and make necessary adjustments. Leslie's carpentry team led by Pablo did a great job with the cabinetry. The new flooring and master bath also turned out great. I contacted this contractor and even scheduled a meeting. The area of service on Yelp shows they serve all the way to south Houston area. They called today to say, I wasn't within their service area and they were canceling the meeting. My home is inside BW 8 off of I-10, well within the map. Can Yelp please correct? I am very aware of some contractors not being hungry or not being very large to be spread out all over the city, but this isn't what was indicated. Recently Modern Design and Remodeling renovated our 2nd Bathroom. In the consultation, the owners/design team Leslie and Israel listened very carefully to what we wanted for our bathroom. They answered every question we had, pulled out samples for us to get a visual of what the final design would look like. A schedule was made and their team of craftsman and experts came out to our home to begin renovations. Throughout the whole process The renovation team were very professional, they respected our home and worked very well together to get the job done. The end product was gorgeous ! If there were any questions the Reno team came to us and asked. Leslie and Israel would pop in often to consult with us on progress and to communicate with us and their team on a regular basis. The end result was a beautiful bathroom that looked better than we first purchased the home. We were completely satisfied with the work this Design Firm did but mostly because of their professionalism, work ethic and how they respected our home during COVID. You see, we REQUESTED that any team member entering our home wear a mask. No questions asked, they did it. Some companies, as we have found are not willing to do that, but not this firm. They did whatever was needed to keep our business and did such a wonderful job(consultation, communication, execution of our design taste, recommendations, listening, friendliness, and affordability of project). We were so impressed with what Leslie and Israel presented and showed us during the interview process for our complete kitchen overhaul that we took a leap of faith and selected Modern Design and Remodeling over vendors that friends and acquaintances referred to us for the kitchen job. To say that we were not disappointed is an understatement. Leslie and the architect helped us through the design phase and Jonathan (PM) communicated each step of the project as the work was being done. The trades people MD&R uses are highly skilled and knowledgeable. The crews worked cohesively with each other and with other crews. Jonathan was on site daily checking the progress of work, relaying next steps, answering questions, and confirming selections, etc. The tradespeople offered suggestions based on their knowledge and experience in some situations that resulted in better outcomes. We recently chose to renovate our master bathroom and interviewed a number of potential contractors. After evaluating each proposal, Modern Design and Remodeling came out on top by a large margin. Why did we like them? First let me say they were not the cheapest, but they more then made up for that with their design suggestions and very professional team. They worked with us, offering some suggestions and getting our input. The entire time it felt like we were a team working together to get a great end product. When it came time to do the actual work they were on time, very professional, did high quality work (I am a perfectionist so the work had to meet my stringent standards) and cleaned up every day. There were a couple of minor issues, but they were quickly resolved. While the entire team was excellent - let me note a couple of people for who deserve extra credit: first, Leslie whose design creativity and suggestions helped develop exactly what we had envisioned and second, Jonathon, who directly supervised the renovation. Jonathon was constantly checking both with us and following up with his team to make sure the work was top notch and on time. The renovation was completed on time and the end result totally exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with our master bath! On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give Modern Design and Remodeling a 6! The project manager, Mr. Nasar took over and was at my house everyday inspecting the work and would let me know when the differnt workman would show up. Christian, the tile guy, was always prompt and did a great job also putting in a block window and replacing damaged wood. Did not get the plumbers name but they fixed my bathroom and front door that was sticking.
