Came here for dinner. Service was professional and helpful. We ordered Stone Fruit & Farmer's Cheese, plum, peach, pistachio, lamb bacon, amba dressing, basil, Eggplant & Cured Yogurt Kashke Bademjan, mint oil, fried onions, garlic chips, walnuts,Kabob Koobideh,Ghormeh Sabzi, Saffron Half Chicken, Lamb Ribs, tamarind-date sauce, walnuts, barberries We loved the stone fruit and farmers cheese lamb baco salad. It was such a great starter. Eggplant was okay, not bad but not our favorite. Kabob koobideh i enjoyed a lot. The saffron chicken was great too. Overall, all the food was very great here. I think you really cant go wrong with any of the options which is rare to find in a restaurant. Will definitely be back to enjoy with friends and family.

I came here at 5PM on a Sunday as the only reservations that are snaggable are somehow only 5PM or 9PM. The staff here is friendly and the restaurant is larger than you'd think! Other than the eggplant I wasn't overly wowed by the dishes but I could tell everything was fresh and made with quality ingredients. I shared: the barbari bread (8/10 delicious but needs to be dipped in something) Eggplant & Cured Yogurt Kashke Bademjan (10/10 my favorite dish of the evening!) Octopus Kabob (7/10 I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of the octopus or the tahini/preserved lemon dip it was in) Potato Tahdig (8/10 oddly too crispy on the sides for me but the plum sauce was fantastic!) Hashoo Mahi (8/10 really good flavor and a good portion of mahi) Saffron Ice Cream (9/10 this was really good but I was so disappointed it wasn't a sandwich like all of the photos I saw online!)

2 pieces of barbari bread ($6x2) seemed necessary to soak up what we ordered as appetizers. Carrot borani at $19 was delicious, though more pricey than expected for the amount. It disappeared within 4 bites. Maybe that's a good thing? The kashke bademjan (eggplant, $23) is smothered in yogurt and other toppings. Would say this is more worth than the carrot, on a flavor per bite basis. I would hardskip the potato tahdig ($18). Convince me that this is something more than an enlarged hashbrown with fancier ketchup. The baseline was on a dollar menu. This evokes the "this is chicken nuggets" meme after someone prepared a "breaded chicken piccata." The kabob koobideh ($25) comes with 7 small cubes of beef/brisket, and some rice. Can you taste or experience the wagyu? What are we doing here? You receive 1 bone marrow and 4 pieces of angus short rib with the ghormeh sabzi ($48). Good, yes. Worth it? Questionable. Overall, delicious, but I'm biased toward Persian food and feel like it has a high floor. I don't think Eyval stood out compared to lower-priced Persian options, which made me feel like the visit wasn't justified.

This was excellent, especially the breads, eggplant, citrus/date salad, and lamb ribs.

If I could come here more often I would Everything on the menu is so delicious and memorable, there's truly nothing as special as Iranian food. The potato tahdig with plum sauce was INSANE, I truly inhaled it. 10/10 meal that really impresses

Def a death row meal me thinks, not your mom's Persian food that's for sure They made quintessential Persian dishes and flavors and elevated them in a unique way. I am often weary of these types of restaurants but this was on my list for YEARS. For my group of 4 I stalked that waitlist for 2 months to get this reservation and it did not disappoint The fesenjoon had the crispiest crunchiest chicken, the tahdig was insane, and the kashk was something else. Cant even say how juicy the kebabs were Lastly, the bastani oh dear god. What a dessert I would come for this alone if it wasn't so hard to get in Dear god hoping to come back soon!!!

I had a great experience here! We had a weekend dinner reservation, were seated promptly, and service was friendly and attentive throughout. The space is pretty big yet cozy. Loved the dips and bread! All super flavorful and fresh. We also shared a salad, lamb ribs, beef kabob, and half chicken. The chicken might've been my favorite - juicy and the pomegranate and walnut sauce had a pretty distinct flavor. The chocolate cake and pistachio ice cream were perfect to round the meal. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

Perfectly spiced Mediterranean dishes. On the more expensive side. The service was excellent and the servers were perfectly attentive. The whipped feta dip and strained yogurt dip were a must try I was just highly disappointed by the lack of bread or any type of vessel to use with the dip? And the ghormeh Sabzi was perfectly rich and flavorful.

First time I came was for my birthday. A friend treated me and we got to order a bunch of items on the menu. I didnt get to take many pictures at the time but always wanted to come back! This time my boyfriend and I decided to try getting a seat at the bar on a random weekday. We arrived shortly before they opened and stood in line, we figured they might have room for walk-ins and if not we were going to either Robertas or Otis right around the corner. Luckily we got a seat right at the corner of the bar which I am so thankful. The service was amazing and they were all super friendly. Since I am east asian many of the items on the menu is super foreign to me and flavors are a mystery. They helped us pick a few things trying to balance out the meat, veggies, and carbs, but we decided to go heavy on the meat and have a larger meal. I recommend getting rice and bread to go with the dishes! Items we got Lamb Ribs was one of the high lights which is delicious when you eat it with rice or bread. By itself after the first piece it can get a little heavy, but its delicious as and perfect appetizer to share. Mushroom Borani was so smooth and just warms your soul. My bf who was hesitant about just ordering dips or yogurt loved this item. We ordered drinks as well which were both delicious and unique. We also got one of the beef skewers which was delicious and just nice item to get. However we were quite underwhelmed by the octopus. Overall this place is so lovely, I am so happy for them they are so busy now compared to when I first visited for my bday even tho its super hard to get a reservation. Well deserved hype and I definitely recommend to have a wonderful time.

Wow, just wow! Excellent experience and incredible food. You could really taste the quality in all the ingredients. The spreads and purees were delicious, as well as the mains. We had to keep ordering bread to make sure we finished every last drop of sauce in each plate (and the bread is fantastic too). Cocktails are very good as well and not badly priced. All servers were friendly and the place had a casual yet sophisticated vibe, which I like. This is a restaurant where you should come with a group to make sure you try a bit of everything. The price-to-quality ratio has me planning my next visit!

Eyval is such a beautiful restaurant -- minimalist, elegant, and full of warmth. The design is simple but intentional, creating a calm, inviting space that lets the food and energy truly shine. Definitely make a reservation before going; even mid-week, the place was packed, which tells you how loved this spot is (and it's easy to see why). The menu is unique -- some dishes are hard to picture at first, but when they arrive, they're stunning. Each plate is beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and full of bold, thoughtful flavors. You can tell every dish is made with care and creativity. We came here for a birthday dinner -- a group of eight -- and shared about eight or nine dishes. It was a good amount for everyone to taste a bit of everything but I'd suggest adding more dishes. A highlight was the beets (stunning and scrumptious dish) and another was the cabbage salad (flavorful and bright) The cocktails were equally impressive -- inventive, balanced, and delicious. Every sip felt carefully curated to complement the food. All in all, 5 out of 5. Eyval captures everything I love about dining in Bushwick: community, creativity, and food that feels both comforting and elevated. Highly recommend!

This was amazing... fall off the bones... lamb ribs. A must!!

Matthew was our server and he was amazing. The service was wonderful... we ordered 8 different dishes and as we finished one, another was served. So you order everything up front and they pace it. We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday and so the meal ended with a candle in a slice of chocolate cake!! See my pictures for a description of each item. We had made reservations, and it was full... so probably a good idea to do so. Dishes are served to share... that way you get to taste everything.

I absolutely LOVED this place. The food was incredible, everything was delicious and full of flavor, didnt love the drinks but it was okay because i ended up getting a diet coke to finish it off.. the lamb was my absolute favorite and the mushroom borani was a close second!

The menu is pretty diverse with various appetizers, sushi, and also ramen/curry so your standard izakaya fare. One of my favorite dishes here has been the chirashi. The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. I've only ever been here in groups of two and I probably would recommend it for smaller groups because the space itself is small and most of the tables are two-seaters if I recall correctly.

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.
