Asst Manager Lucero at the Oceanside store did an outstanding job of fixing a problem with my sunglasses order. They came from the factory with a defect after I waited for them for close to 3 weeks. Lucero responsibly owned the problem and made it right by me by replacing the defective pair. Lucero was professional, responsible, honest, and friendly and she really cared about how I felt about the problem. I was a mid-level banking manager in my previous job and if I was still working I would have hired her away from your firm in a quick second and would have given her a large salary raise in the bargain. I can't recall when I have had a better customer service experience with a merchant when there was a problem with something that I purchased. She is a credit to Eyeglass World and as far as I am concerned she should be promoted to store manager as soon as possible, based on how expertly she helped me and I am certain that she treats all customers in the same fantastic way. I was not very happy when I was notified of the defective product and she did not act defensive or cop an attitude with me. She just went about her business by making things right for her customer. I had a Saturday afternoon appointment for the eye exam. The Optometrist was amazing the best eye exam I have ever had. Her name is Dr. Debra McIntyre she comes to the Oceanside store on some Saturdays. Call and request Dr. McIntyre she was knowledgeable, professional and fun. You can tell she loves her job. After the exam I browsed the wide selection of frames and was assisted by a friendly team member in proper fit and the best frames for my face type. I made a selection of a frame that ended up being on sale what a great surprise. I got 2 pairs of glasses with upgrades for 189.00. I picked them up Tuesday evening 3 days to wait for great glasses can't beat that. read more

Customer service at the Oceanside store sucks. In late December last year I purchased an extra pair of bifocals at the Oceanside store. Since then, I've returned 4 times to repair broken hinge/temple arm, right lens popping out of frame. Same problem, same area/arm all 4 times. Yesterday I arrived & was told computers were down. I didn't take issue with that as I just needed a minor repair. They made no attempt to repair & the only option I was given was to purchase a new frame. Because the computer was down, they couldn't look up my account, but they were quick to bring out an old style credit card slide imprint machine. The only other alternative was to come back the next day. Neither of these were viable options & I certainly wasn't going to buy another frame. I left the broken, completely useless, glasses in the store. This company sells cheap products, don't stand behind their products, and their staff bordered on incompetent. I will not return for any reason under any circumstances. Let the buyer beware. read more

I loved my visit with the optometrist... very knowledgeable Doctor (Dr.Jimmy Nguyen) and super helpful. He listens and understand to patient concerns and definitely answered all my questions, as for the staff.... my first impression wasn't the best... It took them about a minute until someone approached me to see if I needed help, since I was standing there looking for the "front desk" to check in or an area to check in. Yes, they were very busy with patients so, I kinda let that go... as I was directed to the optometry area to check in someone handed me paper work and checked me In...I was then called by a different assistant who did my pre-work up exam?? She was nice and direct. Doctor came in super cool visit.... but as soon as I came back out to get help checking out everyone was busy so I continued to look around the frames... and no one approved me until I informed them I needed to check out. Lorena has an attitude,being my first time at eye glass world, asked her for a copy of my prescription, she acted like I knew the process, asked me to have a seat back outside and gave me attitude while telling me the assistants normally take care of giving Rx copies to patients.. umm ok... talking to me like I know their process at the office. When I finally get my Rx it's for the wrong patient... when I go back to the optometrist area to let them know... I tell the doctor bc he was the only one back there. He apologized, I go back out to have a seat and Lorena comes out with the new Rx and doesn't even apologize. I requested Venicia to assist me (Venny) because since I came In she created an awesome first impression with her patients and customer service. Would I really come back to get seen? Umm the only good part about it is the doctor and maybe this male assistant that was there helping another patient out and venicia. Everyone else I felt like they need to improve in customer service and care. Being the first time here and as a new patient wasnt a great experience... they definitely need improvement in customer service.. other than that kudos to the doctor and venicia, and his only male assistant? Thank you Eyeglass World!! Dr. Nguyen was great!! I had a few questions and he took the time to not only answer my questions, but also explain his answers, with patience. Lorena, the optician, was also amazing!! I was getting progressive lenses and the original frames I had picked out were just a little too small to accommodate progressives, so she took the time to assist me in finding a perfect frame. I am quite picky about glasses and sunglasses, but Lorena was such a big help and we were able to find frames for regular glasses and prescription sunglasses rather quickly. The office manager is right there to help the customers and opticians as well. I don't have vision insurance, but Eyeglass World makes it easy and affordable to get the glasses you need. With their promotion, they wave the eye exam fee, if you purchase your glasses with them. I was able to get both, my regular glasses and prescription sunglasses with progressive lenses in both for a very reasonable cost, less than $210.00, for both pairs. I would definitely recommend Eyeglass World to anyone who wants fashionable glasses with great service at a reasonable cost!! read more

I have been getting eye exams for years. This has been the worst experience ever. I came in for an eye exam, they took like an hour to look for my insurance information they had to close the store so i was to receive a call the next day with an update. A few days later they called they found my insurance info and that i was covered. I made the appointment for my eye exam, then i come in and they are having trouble again with my file this is another rep. So after almost another hour they decide to get me started on the eye exam. I finish and my fitting contacts keep bothering my eyes, which i go back to work and use all day until i get home wash them and put them away for the night. In the morning i put them on and its the same issue. So during my lunch I went to talk to them and the service was not any better. I also had the same comments from some people at work since we have the same vision insurance. Bad service!! read more

But this time, the customer service that Sheri provided exceeded all expectations. During the pandemic, only so many people can be in the store. But we did not seem rushed. When we were ready to price out the glasses and frames, Sheri was the person who helped us out. She took the time to compare prices between my insurance and the store's promotion. With the comparison, I was able to get a better deal. Earlier, I had observed Sheri dealing with a customer, who has returned to the store, because of a problem with her glasses. Jill spent so much time with me, helping me pick out the perfect frames for my very narrow face and then helping me find the lenses. Also the Dr. was exceptionally patient with me during the two exams that I had. The kindly repeated the exam to try to help me. Everyone couldn't have been nicer and so patient and kind. The then when the glasses ultimately didn't work out for me they stood behind their product and their company so I walked out as happy as I could be. Hermila and lorena were the greatest i walked in Monday 1/21/19 around 5ish with my family just to look and see, I couldn't resist the buy one get one free! Hermila got me in Real quick within the half hour I was there, there was an appointment for me to get in for an eye exam in less than 20 minutes I had 2 of my favorites frames picked out and ready for lenses.i walked in around 5 by 6:45 i had a set of regular every day lenses and frames built and ready for use and a set of oneal sunglasses as well this place is awesome and the two girls that helped me were amazing!the eye doc was quick and effective no upselling none of that,they definetly compete prices with costco the rest of that staff was good too except there was an employee a shorter middle aged caucasion lady who just kept starring at us never once asked us if we needed help or offerd to unlocked any of the high end glasses that had locks on them,never greated us would look away when giving her the look signaling we needed help nada if anybody would of saw us you can clearly see us looking for some one to help us unlock the brand name section to try a pair on,ther was other people there literaly next to us she was helping but not us but thats life i guess all i can say is the rest of the staff was real good! read more

He answered all of my questions about computer reader glasses and clarified my concerns, that I don't need them, but I do need to let my eyes rest and reset every so often to avoid eye strain. My wife went in to get a repair for her reading glasses under her protection plan. There was a scratch and the lens needed to be replaced. The replacement was ok but when she asked about the eyeglass case she brought in with the glasses, the associate that was assisting her said "there is no case ma'am." The associate did not attempt to find the case, she just denied that it existed. It was an awkward moment. I was there when my wife dropped the glasses off for repair and I explicitly remember her leaving the case with the associate. It was not an expensive case but it was her favorite, and more importantly, it was her property. Rather than make a scene, my wife dropped the issue and just bought a new case. read more

I generally go to smaller optometrist office cuz I like the one-on-one care that you get so when my insurance said this place was an option for being in network I was a little skeptical because they seem like a big corporate kind of place. I walked in to see what their hours were surprisingly they had availability for me on Saturday and my daughter. Everybody was super nice and super helpful the optometrist was amazing with my daughter and extremely nice. They have a very large selection of glasses frames to choose from and a really good selection. Both my daughter and I picked a pair of frames that we liked they helped us find frames that were in our budget. They had a bunch of different options for the lenses and they help us pick the best ones for both myself and my daughter. I noticed after I pick up my glasses which wire ready in an hour by the way at no extra charge. At the small office that I'm used to I usually get them after a week of waiting. Anyhow I noticed when I got home my glasses were slipping off my face quite a bit so I went back in the next day and I also noticed that the lettering was chipped off the side of my glasses they were happy to replace my glasses with the same type of frame or any other frame I wanted and they would have them done in an hour. They stand by their work and make sure that you get quality glasses they also have a plan for $25 that covers your glasses no matter what if they get scratched or broken you just bring in the pieces that are remaining and I'll replace them no questions asked. I couldn't ask for anything more out of the eye care center surprised at the Quality of customer service that I got was so good. read more

I couldn't be happier right now!! Not only did this location have so many choices to choose from, but the staff is amazing. I had my prescription done another facility and really wish I had just gone hear for everything. They had an amazing selection to match everyone's budget. The staff was amazing. I actually purchased my glass a week ago, and realized that the frame a little heavier than I had thought and became uncomfortable after wearing them all day. I went back to the store today on the chance they could help me and was immediately greeted by Christina, who was amazing and more than helpful. She even remembered me from the last time I was there and knew exactly what frames I had purchased and made recommendations for me to find something less heavy and more suitable for who often I would wear them. She gave the best news ever and said I was able to get new frames at no additional cost. I am so relieved and never ever expected for it to be so easy. Glasses can pretty expensive. The customer service provided was worth every penny and more. I bought two pairs of lenses for both of my new pairs of frames which I was super excited for but when I went to pick them up both lenses were cut horrible! They left space between the lense and the frame, and it was noticeable since both pairs of lenses weren't cut properly! I was super frustrated since this happened to BOTH pairs of glasses (I've worn glasses all my life and this has never happened)... if it would have happened to one it wouldn't have mattered as much but the fact that it happened to both was super annoying and they only told us about one pair being like that and sent my fiancé home with my other pair but when I got home I noticed that the other pair wasn't cut properly either!! The worst thing of all was that the only thing they could do was to ship them out to their main office and I would have to wait a week in order for the glasses to get back. It was such a hassle to have to deal with all of this especially because it happened to both pairs of glasses and they didn't even care about all the time wasted or nothing, they said all they could do for us was ship them out to fix them and I would have to wait a week for their mess up! It's true what they say, you get what you pay for... save yourself time and just get everything done else where!!! read more

Had a great experience when I went in for my exam, and even recommended this location to several friends and family members due to their quick service, and military discount. I now, however, am upset with the service. I was told my glasses had to be sent from the main office and pick up would be June 5th. Went in today (June 8th), and was told that my glasses were the wrong prescription and had to be sent back. But I never received a phone call or voicemail, which I even showed to both ladies working at customer service (they confirmed that the one missed call I had wasn't their number). So not only was I not notified, but when I asked if it was possible to get a refund, they blew over it and told me they could ship me the glasses if it was inconvenient for me to come back. Which frustrated me. Pretty disappointed and likely won't return. Will also be updating my recommendation to my friends and family. read more

Fast, friendly and clean! The staff here are very friendly and helpful. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel welcomed. I also did not have to wait long to see the doctor. There was only one person ahead of me but it still wasn't a long wait. The doctor was great and was very patient and understanding, being that I had to hold my fussy four month old during my eye exam. The staff helped me pick out glasses and the pricing is reasonable with the selection they have. They do have a good deal with the glasses though. I also liked that I was able to pick up my glasses the same day! I had an appointment at 3PM and was able to pick up my glasses at 5PM. They also take TRICARE Prime.
