To be quite frank, I was skeptical going to another Asian medical office, but this place had exceeded beyond my expectations. Dr. Nguyen was very friendly and explained thoroughly each step of my eye exam, answering all the questions that I had. His staff were also personable and efficient, making the check-in process so quick and easy. After helping me try on a number different frames, Alex was patient enough to let me try another pair, even after I had picked one already. Quick professional service! Went on Yelp to search for another optometry because the one I went to, two years ago is close on Wednesday. I have a very random schedule due to the fact I relocate to a new job site and it's rare for me to have the time to go to a business that opens from 8AM-6PM. Called up to get quotes on a contacts exam. Kevin picked up and was very detailed on the process since it was my first time. Got to the place, Kevin immediately greeted me with a smile and handshake! Signed in, filled the paper work out and Dr. Andrian took me in for the exam. Dr Andrian was very professional throughout the whole process. Got my prescription and then went outside to the lobby to practice putting it on and taking it off. Man, this was very difficult for me knowing that I hardly have have anything near my eye or touch my eye. Took me half an hour to just take one side off. Jennifer was amazing too. She was very patient (She also told me she has a whole lot of patient, I should have tested her! LOL) when she was teaching me. Jennifer is a character, she has a really good sense of humor! When I first walked in, I was greeted by a guy named Kevin. He was friendly and asked if we needed any help. During the whole time, he joked around with us while my boyfriend was getting his eyes checked. :) The main optometrist, Andrian was very professional. He always asked if we were fine and needed anything and was quick to help. His wife, Jenny, came in to visit and she was a very jolly person that has a sense of humor haha. Great customer service, especially with Dr. Nguyen, competitive pricing ($40?) for an eye exam! My fiance had trouble with a prescription and they were able to solve the issue in a timely manner. I also was able to get another pair of glasses adjusted without a cost. Something minor to improve on would be if they could please write the prescriptions in a read-able fashion. I bought the $100 for $75 on Yelp to get my contacts exam here. My first experience with this place was great. I went to this place at noon so there was no other customer but me; therefore, I didn't have to wait. The staffs and Dr. Andrian was very nice and friendly. I edit my review because there was a misunderstanding. The staff told me that I had to pay $70 for eye exam + $40 for follow-up + $25 for training (it's my 1st time wearing contact lenses). Maybe it's because he's new so he didn't know, but he's very helpful and friendly. On the follow-up date Dr.Andrian gave me 2 new pairs of contacts. 1 pair is the replacement because i accidentally torn off my contacts, the other pair is for the following week until the contacts that he ordered for me is delivered. So the $40 that I paid was for the follow-up + some more contact lenses. Thus, the cost of exams + contacts is reasonable. + Dr. Andrian is awesome. He gave me free brand new contact lenses container + solution because I forgot to bring mine. He's the best optometrist in town. read more

In and out for real! Called in to asked if they accepted walk ins and they set me up an appointment the same day for 12:30. I was a little late but they still took me in right away!! Sweet. The eye optometrist name was andrian? And he was super professional and friendly. Lol he checked my eye and told me there was gonna be air blowing? I wasn't paying attention and screamed in the office... Woopseyyyy. Haha hopefully I didn't scare off customers. He laughed and still helped me out. I bought the 50 for 70 deal! Which is super reasonable if you didn't have insurance . Highly recommended. I think I would have given this place a 100 stars if I could. The customer service received from the girl that answered the phone to the guy that helped me with my rebate and the Secretary... You guys were all super friendly and efficient . Thank you so much for making my appointment fast and easy!!! (: Oh and they have wide varieties of glasses! I went back to Eye Smart to get an eye exam for contact lenses. Since I don't wear contacts that often, I opted for daily disposable lenses. Dr. Andrian was very up front and friendly with my exam. When I was through, he even offered to change the lenses on my 2 pairs if glasses for a low price. There was no hassle, no up sell and everything went smooth. Staff is also very friendly and are there to help out and not there to make a commission. Very kid friendly there as well. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. They have the nicest optometrist I've met in my life. Dr Andrian is super gentle and cordial. He's an alumni of UCI same as my family. So that's a plus. So glad I found this place. I was having trouble getting contacts from my optometrist and having delays with an online order. I needed contacts in the meantime and they had them in stock luckily because mine are toric, which I guess isn't usually stocked. The staff are all really great and helpful, unlike my usual optometrist. Wait time was a bit long but the service makes up for it. We were here just to check out Phuoc Loc Tho and we found an eyeglasses store. We were not planning to buy but we found that they have a very nice selection of both sunglasses and glass frames. Alex was very helpful and patience with us. He helped us find glasses that fit our faces from color, styles, and shapes. I had a great experience at Eye Smart. I was due for my annual eye-check up and exam. Also, I was in need of a pair sunglasses as I unfortunately lost my previous pair on a road trip. My appointment was easily procured for the next day by calling them up. Unbeknownst to me, my appointment was during a very busy and parking limited event that would be occurring at Asian Garden Mall. Finding parking was an adventure unto itself. I called the facility and informed them I would be running late....45 mins late as that is literally how long it took to find parking. Dr. Adrian was very gracious and understanding and the receptionist was very kind in honoring my eye exam without making me feel guilty on missing my appointed time. They simply took me in on their next available slot. I was very delighted at the service, attitude, and pleasantness of all the staff and especially Dr. Andrian. My exam went without a hitch, I had my eyes dilated, couldn't read a thing but the staff, especially Alex was kind in guiding me through the process, assisting me with explanations of my insurance (what it covered, how much it covered) and was able to help me with finding a great looking set of frames and sunglasses. Props to everyone at Eye Smart. I will be definitely returning in the future and will recommend anyone in the area to have their eyewear needs taken care of here. read more

Making an appointment over the phone and verifying my benefits was easy. I scheduled my exam for glasses and contact lenses for a Sunday evening. I came a bit before my appointment to pick out Tom Ford frames before I met Dr. Andrian. I had dry eyes with my Acuvue 2 contact lenses and he recommended that I try out Acuvue Oasys which was a lot more comfortable for me. This is my first time getting contacts and I found this place on yelp. I called in for an appointment but they said I could do walk in right away which is super convenient. When I got there staff were really nice and welcoming :) Dr did my eye exam and helped me put on my contacts within 30 min. After the exam Alex taught me putting them on and taking them off before I leave. They make sure you are comfortable with the contact lenses before you go out the door! A side note for ladies getting contact lenses for the first time, no makeup is the best because you will practice putting them on and taking them off; your makeup would probably smear by the end :) read more

My husband needed to get his yearly eye check up and I was looking for a new pair of sunglasses. Dr. Nguyen is super nice and informative throughout the exam, he tells you what he is doing and what he is looking for during the exam. Alex in the front office assisted us out from beginning to end. He showed me frames that he thought would work best for my face and didn't try to sell me anything he knew wouldn't work for me. He is knowledgeable in his products and attentive to the customers. 1. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day, which is always a plus. There's no cancellation fee or strict, late policy. 2. Dr. Nguyen is a very affable guy and tells you step by step what he's doing and why during the visit. Very easy to talk to about your questions, concerns, or life in general. He explained to me what the numbers on my prescription meant, as opposed to usual optometrists who will simply tell you your prescription without explaining anything. 3. Kevin, the manager, was very friendly. He was attentive to whenever I wanted to try on certain glasses or which types of glasses were better suited for my lenses. 4. The service was quick and easy. With my previous optometrists, my glasses would be ready in about a month's time, give or take a few weeks. With Dr. Nguyen and his team, my glasses will be ready within a matter of days, at most a week. 5. Their pricing was cheap and reasonable. The visit itself is $40 for just glasses, not sure what the cost is for contact lenses. Kevin was understanding about the fact that I'm on a college student's budget. He even offered to work with my budget if I were to choose something that were above my price range. There was nothing bad about this place that I could remember of. Went here to get my eye exam. The store is bright and clean and they have a large selection of designer glasses at a good price. Compared to most places where you have to wait for long time even though you have an appointment Eye Smart doesnt let their customers wait.
