Dr. Pham is excellent! She knows what your eyes needs. I have been wearing eyeglasses for almost 3 years now, and it has been hard to find a good eye doctor. I'm glad I found this clinic. I am very satisfied with my current eyeglasses. Also, Rocel's customer service is up to par! She explained my insurance and the costs very well. I do not recommend this place. We chose to visit based on their positive reviews and our Me-dical coverage. First, the eye exam was quite unsettling; the optometrist seemed rushed, as if he was more interested in finishing quickly than in providing thorough care. Second, the woman responsible for discussing glasses/frames was shockingly discriminatory. When I requested to see different styles of frames--since they only offered one option for medical frames--she looked at me as if to say I couldn't afford anything else. I had to assertively clarify that we were prepared to pay in cash, which was an unnecessary confrontation rooted in her bias. Typically, when you visit an optometrist, you expect assistance and a welcoming environment because they want to sell the frames and lenses. Instead, she displayed a dismissive attitude, making it clear that she felt I was wasting her time. This is utterly unacceptable, especially when someone is utilizing medical assistance. When I inquired about the process for obtaining the free frames provided by medical coverage, despite knowing they are inexpensive, they became defensive and continued to exhibit a negative demeanor. It's crucial that they understand that the eye exam is not a charity service; it is covered by Me-dical insurance, and this seems to be a concept they fail to grasp. The level of prejudice displayed here is simply unacceptable. We ended up going to another place to repeat the eye exam since we were unsure the prescription was correct. The staff at this establishment dropped the ball multiple times when assisting my husband with purchasing new eyeglasses. He placed his order with them and when he checked 2+ weeks later, they had not submitted the order. He asked them to actually submit the order, which they later did. 2+ more weeks later, he checked on his order, and the glasses were in (might have been good to reach out to the customer and let him know). A month later he noticed the lenses screw to the arms of the glasses weren't operating correctly, so he returned to have them adjusted. The staff at Eye Site didn't have the appropriate equipment to fix his glasses, and asked him to have them return the glasses to the manufacturer which doesn't appear to be a "service" minded business. My husband asked for and received a referral to another, better optometrist, and was told about Site For Sore Eyes, who were able to quickly repair my husband's glasses. In the future, we will be using Site For Sore Eyes, as they are much more customer- focused and service minded. read more

Feeling upset that I trusted someone to take care of me but ultimately failed me. It took me two weeks to see Dr. Pham and within those two weeks I had to wear my glasses because I ran out of contact lenses. No big deal, I had a back up l. My appointment was to renew my contact lens prescription but immediately was offered a custom fit for contacts that I said I didn't want. The recommendation was made before I even had my eyes tested, which was a little bit alarming to me. I've used regular lenses for over 20 years and didn't want to transition to anything else. Not only did she put me in these lenses, she charged me $139 when I specifically said I didn't want to do it. The end result of my appointment was leaving with no prescription because she was unable to do so, a trial lens that made me so dizzy, I was nauseous. Told me to try them and come back in another two weeks. I felt like she was trying to charge me for a little things just to make an extra dollar, and that was pretty unsettling. read more

I wanted to give this place a try, but all the negative reviews are true. Dr Pham is really great at what she does. She's very thorough and gave me good advice for my dry eyes. She gets 5 stars from me, her staff is great too but when I try to call or text, I don't get an answer or respond. First, the person I talked to said my glasses weren't covered by my insurance and advised me to call my insurance, I call my insurance and they tell me my glasses and frames are COVERED, and to have the business reach out to get clarification. I'm trying to get clarification myself as it's been 3 weeks and still don't have glasses. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Made the mistake by not checking the reviews first before taking the short walk from my new home to here. It was too good to be true. She could not figure out a prescription for my glasses after the 3rd time of returning them. I literally hit the door way on the way out of the examination room with the prescription they gave me. They said give it a few days for your eyes to adjust. "I have to drive a public city train later in the city!" I told her. Her staff didn't care and just wanted me out of their hair. Its cool, I'm taking my business somewhere else. Mind you, I had better service at Walmart and Costco so... Any ways, this was my experience and review. I feel like this place either gets a mega fantastic 5 star review... or a terrible 1 or 2 star review. I haven't seen any reviews in the middle. I guess it is a hit or miss. For me... it was a miss. I called and left a voicemail requesting an appointment because they took my insurance. I didn't receive a call back... so my "low patience" self decided to call them again. This time, they picked up and I managed to schedule an appointment. Two days later, I receive a phone call from them. They told me that they were calling me back to schedule my appointment. I told them I already scheduled an appointment with them (same person too). So I confirmed my appointment and hung up. Another day later, I received a voicemail from them, asking me to confirm my appointment either through text or phone. Being the millennial I am, I texted them immediately to confirm. Then I receive another phone call the next day to confirm my appointment a second time. Then, the day of the appointment, I received a third phone call... to confirm my appointment the third time... The most inefficient gambit I had ever seen. I get to the optometrist. She takes one look at my eye and goes "wow, you have quite a prescription. If you don't take care of your eyes, you can go blind. I'm not trying to lecture you, but you need to be careful." On and on and on... I am 31 years old and blind as a bat. I understand. I've heard it my whole life. However, the tone that she spoke to me in did not make me feel comfortable AT ALL. She kept on saying I could go blind if I don't shape up. I understand the warnings are great but it honestly felt like I was getting scolded by my mom. After the exam was over, she told me that my insurance doesn't cover decent glasses or lenses for my prescription (-7.00). I said... okay... umm... Then she wrote a prescription for antibiotic eye drops... and told me I had to go to the pharmacy and wait for them to fill the prescription... because she forgot her password to enter into the portal for her to send the prescription directly to the pharmacy... and sent me on my way. I got to my car and realize I didn't get my eye prescription for my glasses. I need this piece of paper to get glasses anywhere. I got out of the car and went back. I told the front desk girl "hi, I think you forgot to give me my prescription." She printed one out and I never looked back. Then, I received another phone call after my appointment and she goes "we were supposed to schedule you for a dilation, etc...Also, if the paper prescription for your eye drops didn't work, call us so we can call it in" WTF. Why couldn't you dilate my eyes while I was there? I have never done an eye exam that makes me come back for a dilation. Long story short. This spot took up so much of my time, and ultimately accomplished nothing for me. The staff are insensitive and give me air head vibes. Sorry. read more

I have been coming to Eyesite Optometry for almost seven years now and the experience, care, and service that I have received has been great. I just picked up my new eyeglasses and contacts which arrived quite quickly after they were ordered. There is a great selection of eyeglasses at a number of different price points, but they also have signature designer frames as well. In the past I was able to get a pair of Ray Ban Clubmaster in my prescription and will be updating the lenses with my new prescription. For contacts, they have access to a wide variety of contact lenses that accomdate most issues, and I am very happy with my new contacts. Dr Pham and her staff are just awesome! read more

This doesn't deserve not even one star. I'm pretty upset the fact that I needed to see an optometrist, but I'm even more upset the fact that my appointment was scheduled at 9:30am, but open at 10am. I stood outside the door since 9am. I'm sure they knew their schedule and knew they had an 9:30 appointment scheduled. I even got a reminder my appointment was at 9:30. As I'm standing outside the door there was someone inside looking at the glasses and i know she saw me. I feel she could have kindly came to the door, but she was just walking back and forth. She explains the process with us, addresses any issues she sees we might be facing in the near future with care, and is very thorough. My last optometrist died and I needed a new one for READING glasses. Can't get them at the drug store as I have mono-vision implants. This was the closest one that came up. Dr. Pham seemed competent. They, not the optometrist, did several things that I didn't think were necessary as I had seen my opthamologist one week before. He does not do refractions. They had a very small, poor selection of frames, but I needed to get glasses before the end of the year to use my insurance. I picked a pair. The attendant gave me a price and I paid without questioning. When I went to pick the glasses up, they said I owed $8. A small amount, but it was their mistake, not mine. They should have taken care of it. read more

My optometrist is no longer doing his business so I was looking for new one and made an appointment with this place. On the phone, I was told, they could order the frame of my choice, however, when I went there to order the frame, I was told to choose one of their frames or to buy frame out of my pocket. I felt that I was deceived but not a big deal to make fuss out of it, so I let it go. I returned for the actual appointment with the optometrist that I didn't get her name. I was waiting in the office that everybody saw me waiting. The optometrist was going in and out that she appeared to testing for security camera angles in the clinic. Staff reminded her that I was waiting, but she walked away saying "i know." If this optometrist can't respect my time, I won't respect her business either. She could check the security camera angles or whatever when she is free of waiting people. She had no reason to make me wait for her while she was doing things that was not urgent. I walked out. She called me and excused herself saying that she was disinfecting exam room. "Excuse me, I saw you what you're doing. don't lie to me." I don't deal with people who can't respect my time and I don't recommend business who is lying to its customers. Don't go. read more

So very upset !!!! This young lady took my order for my new prescription, she offered me thin lenses cause there better ,no scratches, the best she assured me ,so I ordered two pairs, the time came for me to pick them up ,they were not right!!! So I told them ,this worker told me ,that's what I have order ! I told him no ,it wasn't, I decided to take them ,wear them for a few days, then I returned them cause ,the lenses in both pairs were too thick !! Ok this worker name ED took my two pairs, seem he understood, my problem, ok I called 12 days after to see my glasses were ready fixed, ED answered me ,he said no they are not back ,ok I said ,then I called back one week after which is today Sept 20 2023 , guess what ED answered me again and this time he said, that I need to pay extra for high index !! This means my glasses were sitting there and one bother to call me and told the situation !!!! I am so upset , now I have to wait again! I had been coming here when Dr. Lasusky was in practice. I continued with Dr. Pham who then took over the practice and until my insurance changed and had to go somewhere else. Now I am back again. Dr. Pham is very knowledgable and performs a comprehensive eye exam and diagnose and manage glaucoma, which is why I come here. She is proactive in keeping my eye pressure at bay. There is an array of equipment available, OCT- optical coherence tomography which is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross section picture of your retina. These measurements help with diagnosis and treatment for glaucoma. Then there is the visual field test used to diagnose, determine the severity of, and monitor your glaucoma. CT-80 tonometer which takes an intraocular pressure reading. All these tests plus others that Dr. Pham preforms are very important to me so I don't lose my eyesight. I appreciate the care and concern shown to me and my husband when we are there. The staff is very helpful and understanding, they are Monica Rachel and Heba. In conclusion, I receive a thorough eye exam, have a variety of frames to choose from and a friendly and helpful Doctor and staff. Thank you 2/2/17. The staff and Dr. Pham are great. Her staff broke down my new insurance coverage and didn't try to pressure me into any upsells, they simply showed me their menu of options and let me decide on what I needed and answered any questions I had about differences in quality with prices. I'm a CPA and pay close attention to prices, and found their name-brand frames to be on par with everyone else in the area; although I didn't buy any because I used my old frames, also no pressure to buy new frames even though I had an allowance with my insurance. The exam went great and Dr. Pham saw a few things with my eyes I already knew about but I forgot to mention beforehand, which showed me that she really knows what she is doing. Most of the staff people were nice here but I was not impressed with Dr. Pham. I have always had great vision and went in to get some reading glasses to use at the computer. She did not explain what she was doing the whole exam and would get really frustrated when I asked her to stop and explain. She also told me that I had extremely high pressure in both of my eyes. After visiting a second doctor for a different opinion, they told me that I have normal pressure and its nothing to worry about. This office uses old equipment that does not give accurate readings and is extremely over priced (I paid over 250$ for READING GLASSES!!). Left this place so angry, I can't see straight (figuratively and literally)! First off all I wanted were some glasses and an eye exam for glasses. I noted that on my online appointment and mentioned it again when I walked in the office. I was surprised when the doctor had me try on some contacts, but I thought it was just to try on. To my surprise I was billed $99 for contact fitting! Secondly, the perception was all wrong. When looking at the eye exam chart, I kept saying "I think the letters are...when I look real hard." When I made it home I saw the prescription was WAY off from my old ones, no wonder I was having a hard time seeing on my drive home. And third, apparently men are more important than women at this office! I was left standing there like an idiot. The guy "helping" me pick out glasses left me standing there for about 10 minutes. I thought he was looking up how to open the glass case, because he couldn't figure it out. As things turned out he left me standing there to help the male customer. So now I wasted my yearly insurance allotment for my eye exam, because I sure as hell am not going back there, and the eye glass and contact prescription are way off so I can't get either one! I received a routine eye exam here. The doctor wasn't too bad, but the rest of his staff was horrible. Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a medical office. They were rude, snappy and demeaning to me and other patients in the office at the time. I thought it could of just been a "bad day at the office." I tried to give them all the benefit of the doubt. I returned a second time to check on my contact prescription. To my amazement, they were even more unfriendly the second time. I really don't know how this practice stays in business. I had more than two service discrepancies with Eye Site Optometry. Most recently ordered new frames and they said stop by and well "pop' them in. After working on them for 25 minutes it was suggested to send them to someone who had the proper tools,but the staff did not follow through. One hour 20 minutes later lenses just wouldn't "pop" in. I took my broken glasses back as I had an event to attend. Went back Monday, picked up the frames, took them to another business and the glasses were fixed in less than 2 minutes. The proper thing to do was say"We cant fix these but well find someone who can". It really is that simple. There is a huge focus on money at Eye site. They continually talk about what you owe, as if they will not get paid. When a service is provided, I pay my bill. I don't need annoying reminders. Dr Pham always changes the conversation to how much is owed.May her wallet get a bit lighter.And she has a very sassy attitude.Unprofessional at best. read more

Eye came in one day for new frames. Wow the woman whom helped me was really awesome, I told her I wanted a fun, kind of edgy, and colored frame. I also wanted to keep with the size of my lense of my current frame too. She was amazing, she pulled frames for me to try on, it was hard for me tell what looked good on me because I am blind as a bat with out my glasses. I finally narrowed down my frame but wanted it in a different color, they were happy to order it for me without cost, a lot of other places would charge you a deposit, or you'd have to pay for it before ordering. I tried them on when they came in and loved the color, ordered them, and less than a week later they were in. I have received a lot of compliments on them, and have been told they make my eyes pop too! read more

I love this place! The girls at the front are super helpful and friendly. Dr. Pham is the best and was very patient with me! This was the first time I got an eye exam since I was in elementary school and I had a lot of questions! Dr. Pham is very knowledgable and answered all my questions. At first I didn't think the glasses would make much a difference because I felt my vision was okay... but then we did the eye test and I couldn't see a lot of the images on the screen ); I was sort of embarrassed but Dr. Pham makes you feel very comfortable. First I would like to say, and I am a quadriplegic in a wheelchair with within a neurological disorder called "Autonomic Dysreflexia". With that being said, I did missis few of my appointments and did not cancel them which is rude and unresponsible, on my part, but not once did these people notify me that I would be penalized for this and would have to be a $20 charge for my next appointment. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford a $20 dollar charge in my opinion if it is that serious of a problem because they "have such a heavy flow of customers", I feel they should have notified me the very first time I missed the initial appointment. The optometrist was always very sour. Getting frustrated because it took more of an effort to get my exams done. I feel some doctors and their helpers are actually there to help while I believe these women were just there to collect my check. Maybe cause I'm on Medical? Most likely. I will be further doing more research to reach HQ and further explain how uncomfortable they made me during my visits. read more

My 1st visit to see Dr Karen Pham, it has been unprofessional and frustrating! I only wanted an eye exam, but at checkout, I was billed a contact lens fitting of $75.00 which I did not receive, nor did I want. The receptionist claims that each time you get a eye exam you must get a new fitting again and again and again. I did not believe this so I called 3 other doctors in the area to confirm. All 3 said that the fitting is offered to their customers before the exam, but it's not necessary, especially if the patient has used contact lenses before. To make matters worse, I tried to order contacts online, and Dr Pham would not release my prescription. Lastly, she is only in the office once or twice per week with limited hours so it makes it hard to communicate. If you don't mind surprises at checkout and your time wasted, Dr Karen Pham is the doctor for you! read more

This place stinks now. I had been coming to this location for over 20 years before the original doc retired. Now this Dr Pham took over and the service went to shit. I placed an order for new contacts a month ago. I used a 50 credit that my insurance company provides and paid the remaing balance. I never received a call that my order arrived so i called to check on it. I was then told that i could not pick up my order until a billing issue from last year was resolved with said insurance company. I had to call the insurance company who told me they did pay the contracted rate. Long story short. The doctors accounting methods suck and the service blows.
