At one point, I was considering storing my belongings at their warehouse for less than a week. Rather than simply taking the additional business, they told me it did not make sense to move everything from the original location into warehouse storage for such a short period because it would unnecessarily increase my costs. That advice was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to use PODS instead. My moving needs did change at the last minute, which made the overall move more expensive than I had originally planned, but that was because of the changing logistics, not because they were trying to increase the price. I really appreciated that they were focused on helping me find the most practical and cost-effective solution. I would absolutely recommend them.

And still took more than half the time. One guy sat in the truck most of the time, I have pictures, the others didn't start on my kitchen until the end, had to wait for that....later to find out when I went back to the old apartment they hadn't even finished the whole kitchen ...ran over my allotted time at the building I was moving out of, at my cost. And then they ruined my couch. So I paid DOUBLE what I was expecting, which was already more than what was quoted cause I was adding a little buffer, but ended up tipping a whole additional person because I'm not a jerk. The guys were nice but inefficient. Kept saying this is what you get with a higher quality mover, but it was not even a better experience. They were wasteful with the amount of packing supplies they used, never presented or communicated the prices of the materials they were using, which I was told was included anyway but also others I never approved or asked for. Just popped it on me in the end. Oh and then they say "we are going to adjust your time by 15 min you'll see a refund on your card" and two and a half weeks later still waiting for it to even show pending at least. But you better believe the charge was instant. I was debating sharing my feedback but was so mad I finally emailed the company. But no one had even dignified me with not even an automated response, just silence. So I come here to do something I pretty much never do. But that's how annoyed I am. Sorry but would rather recommend. Cheap Movers, way better. I used last move were a thousand times better and a QUARTER of the price. I'm not even cheap but I hate being taken for a fool, and it turned out to be just that. That's what I get what I get for using hourly movers for the first time, never again. A slow work scam, exactly what I was worried about, but like an idiot I bought into the reassurances Karen gave me but they truly let her down. I hope she knows they're having her selling lies.

In turn, IMRG hired Zip Van Lines to move us from Louisiana to Michigan. They used a bait and switch tactic to draw us in. The first estimate was within our budget. Right before the movers arrived, they bumped the price up by 50%. It was too late to cancel then. All of my family had passed away. I raised money for the move by selling off their furniture and other belongings. These companies drained our savings. We couldn't pay the final charge at delivery. They put our belongings in storage and refuse to deliver them. They have my family photos and their military funeral flags. I've been in talks with them, they have one lie after another. The load pictures show that our load was much less than they claim, they actually owe us a refund. They still claim the load was larger. Zip Van Lines falsified the Bill of Lading and now they are lying about the size of our load. They are even claiming that the truck holds 1952 cubic feet of space, but there's no evidence that Zip has a truck of that size! These companies are scammers and I advise staying far from them! They're holding our goods hostage and our evidence shows it as theft and the money they demand is extortion. DO NOT HIRE EITHER OF THESE COMPANIES!!!

Insane amount of up charges ($400 worth of tape as though they don't buy it in bulk). Never again! Our new house is a tornado of things none of which are in the right place and I'm so upset and overwhelmed. What's hilarious is that they wrapped everything like crazy but still broke a wheel from our fridge and just said "oh". No apologies, no offer to fix it, no we can take off something for you... nothing. The provider was absolutely unprofessional and led to costing me hundreds of additional dollars in my move, which is completely unacceptable. I had rented a uhaul, provided my credit card and the provider decided, without telling me he was going to rent my uhaul to someone else, that he was going to rent my reserved uhaul to another person. The provider had NO remorse for doing this to me. This happened on the DAY of my move. It led to me having to reserve a smaller truck, which meant I needed to do multiple trips, pay for many additional miles because the reservation location was farther away and cause me so much additional stress during a move that was already stressful during the holidays. In my opinion, Uhaul should reimburse me for the additional cost due to their providers bad judgement and inappropriate conduct.
