We have been customers for years and this is a great storage facility! They have indoor climate controlled units that are clean and convenient. We are actually return customers, as we used them once when we moved and again when we had to empty our basement due to a flood. At the time we moved in the second time, they didn't have the size unit we needed, but gave us two side by side units with the same area for the same price (which many companies would have up charged for as individual units). They are much easier and friendly to work with than some of the corporate places. I'm very thankful for my experience here! In the middle of a very stressful move dealing with Affordable Self Storage and the employee's here has put some good back in some rough days! The customer service is fantastic and everyone is so nice and friendly. When I checked in Fatima was a huge help showing me how to use all of the security features, lifts and locks. A couple of times I had a problem figuring out the lift so I called the office and Susan was there to help me within what seemed like 10 seconds after we hung up the phone! No waiting! I even interrupted her having lunch at her desk one day and she immediately stopped to help me. Afterwards she continued to talk to me while her lunch got cold. The kicker is that helping me took only less than a minute but she took another five to continue to chat and make sure everything else was going ok and just be kind! That's what I love about the company, the kindness and consideration they show to each other and their customers. Not only is the customer service great but the facility itself is affordable, well managed, clean and nice. The buildings are not on top of each other making it easier to see others in the parking lot and give you room to drive, unload and not get in each other's way. They are well lit inside and out, and I feel very safe going there after hours in the dark. I highly recommend this business and it's owned by a family. My wife and I had an amazing experience with Affordable Storage. We were moving to Florida and realized that not all of our things were going to make the trip due to the size of our moving truck. We contact Mrs. George about our dilemma and she was great. She walked us through the different storage units and she went above and beyond to help us make the best decision. We ended up needing to rent another truck to get our leftovers to the storage unit. Plus the staff is always pleasant when we call to make payment or if we have a question. read more

Don't rent U-haul equipment here. They are not willing to help you with the equipment. I tried to rent a trailer there and they weren't willing to help me get it on the hitch. Their words were "We just rent you the equipment. The rest is up to you. I guess I'm used to the actual U-haul rental shops where they help you put it on and take it off. Anyhow, I don't care for their idea of customer service. read more

I've rented with other companies in the area in the past, as have members of my family. While the unit prices were acceptable (and pretty much on par with other companies), the amenities are not well taken care of. We did not visit often, as it was a holding unit for our belongings while we were finding a new home, and we rented for 6 months. When we moved out, many of our belongings had mouse droppings in them and we found 3 dead mice in the back of our unit inside a ball of fluff. When I mentioned that to the people in the office, they were full of excuses and never once offered an apology, only saying that they have a pest control company come out once a month (as if that's an acceptable answer for dead rodents and their excrement in my belongings). I paid them over $1,000 to keep my belongings safe and clean, and they didn't. I'd suggest looking elsewhere unless you want dead mice in your unit. read more

I have used Affordable Self Storage for storage and truck rental several times. The facilities are well kept and safe. The trucks are user friendly and the rental process for both is easy. While the prices are really good, it's the customer service that will always bring me back. Susan goes above and beyond to work with you on special situations and off-the-wall questions. Worst place to rent a truck or storage unit from. Nothing they quoted me was correct. Everything turned out to be much higher and they nickel and dime you for everything. The last straw was when I took all my stuff out and they wouldn't give me the rest of my months rent back because my seven day notice, which I did give, but the lady said it was sent on the exact day at seven days.
