This is my first time renting in Scotts Valley and I chose this location for the convenience, reviews and the prices. I highly recommend Extra Space at this location. Securing a new place was easy online and I received a gate code via text. Entering and exiting was easy. The first time I came on site, Richard checked on me to see if I needed anything and I appreciated that. They have two large carts for transporting goods from your vehicle to/from the storage location. Mine was inside access. At a certain point I realized I needed extra space and Richard was helpful over the phone to find a space near my first one. Overall this was a great experience and when I need storage in the future, I'll choose this site. read more

Extra Space Storage - My location was easily accessible from where I parked the U-Haul. - Self Storage Near Me - Scotts Valley, California

Great company to store with. No issues loading or Unloading our property. Will use this Extra Space Storage again.

This business understands what customers need. It is clean, maintained and customer centric. I moved 2 large PODS from Milpitas to save over 50% the cost. Edward is stellar and knowledgeable about the best way to create a successful storage experience. It was getting dark and Edward just jumped in and helped us unload and store the last 30% of items. This is what I call EXCELLENCE! No regrets what so ever. Thank you for your exceptional expertise. Well done read more

After calling around to every other storage facility in the area, I was discouraged with the choices that were available. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to finally end up having a conversation with Tiffany at Extra Space. She was very attentive, helpful, and understanding. She helped me sort out my options and decide on a unit size which ended up being perfect for my needs. I would definitely recommend extra space to a friend based on my interaction with her. Professional, respectful, considerate, and very knowledgeable. A+. (I had dealt with Zenda at this location in the past who was excellent. I was dismayed to find out she had left. Tiffany ended up being as good if not better!) read more

Facility is nice, but after 4 months of use they gave me 30 days notice that my rate would increase 100%. When I first moved in they told me after 9 months I might see a slight rate adjustment but they increased the rate as much as they could as soon as they legally could. Doubling my rate after 4 months is not ok and should not be legal. read more

Great location and easily accessible. The gate has Bluetooth so you can use your phone to enter the gate. The units are clean and carts are always available. read more

Great service and location is always clean and carts are readily available. Security is also great.

Well, here's yet another glowing review in deep appreciation of Edward's outstanding skills as a facility manager at this Extra Space Storage Location. Professional and highly knowledgeable and competent in securing the best rental terms for me as a customer, Edward was also attentive and downright caring, so that I instantly felt that I was dealing with one of those all too rare humans that sincerely make this world a better place. Both he and his wife not only run a super safe and clean facility, but they are gems as people and Extra Space Storage is lucky to have them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this storage facility in particular for anyone looking for an ongoing positive storage experience. read more

We use the Scott's Valley location and couldn't be happier. Edward goes above and beyond with his hospitality. He is very knowledgeable and super helpful with any questions you have. The also sell boxes, packing tape, plastic wrap, etc. so it makes it really convenient when moving and stressed. Thank you Edward for being so kind during our life transitions. read more

Good afternoon, I have been a customer since 2021. They have been professional, accommodating, helpful and always available to help. Edward G, manager at this location, rocks! He has excellent customer service skills. He is not on his phone. He is a rare kind of guy. Keep it up, Edward! You deserve a raise read more

Edward is the reason for this five star review. I have several units at different Extra space locations. Most managers are arrogant and treat you like an annoyance. Edward is a great manager who goes out of his way to provide assistance any way he can. Fantastic. read more

This facility was immaculate, accessible, and secure. The manager, Edward, was extremely professional, informative, and amiable! I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing a safe, clean storage space. Thank you very much, Edward! read more

Edward was so kind and such a help! He got me exactly the right size space I needed and even on ground level. He took the time to walk me all the way over to the storage space which was clean and ready to use. The cart/trolleys to help with moving your things and the included lock were both a nice plus too. Wishing Edward and his family the best! read more

We used the Scotts Valley facility for a medium size locker to store our garage contents as a result of the CZU Lightning Fire. Signing up and getting into the locker was effortless and all done via phone and online. Getting to the facility from our place in Live Oak was very easy and quick. Facility was always clean and certainly seemed deserted when we were there, which I personally like. I called after we cleared out the locker and took the lock and once again, the whole process was quick, painless and done via phone and online. I highly recommend this facility. read more

zenda the manager i worked with at extra space storage was a delight!. she did not deliver a sales pitch. she wanted to know what caused my need for storage and what she could do to help at their different price points. it's so nice to meet a sales person who listens and wants to save you money. i will not go anywhere else to save a few dollars. oh i did find out zenda had been running this operation for 9 years. she is the real deal and a joy to deal with! she toured me and talk about super clean as well as secure. this business is very profess!ional! cheers, Barry Cioffi read more

I don't usually write reviews but Ed, I think he was the manager, helped me sort out what I thought I needed and what I actually needed in terms of my storage needs. The Scott's Valley facility has later hours access than most storage facilities which was perfect for me. It's clean and well maintained. Communication was always good with the office and they're were never any surprises. They made my "stay" there as easy as one could expect. read more

I quickly needed a storage unit and was able to get one here same day. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was also the cheapest I found on short notice anywhere in Scott's Valley. The storage unit itself wasn't the best but it made due. I didn't care for the fact that they do not have a light inside the actual unit so I had to balance a flashlight while moving stuff around. Additionally, in the smaller unit I had (5' x 8') there were beams that lined the floor and the walls which technically makes it's smaller than advertised. The last thing that I was confused about and didn't like is they advertise the first months rent free, but I paid the first month and all other months I was there. When I went to cancel my unit, I did it online which was very easy and smooth but it said I would be prorated for the last month. When I went into the office to let them know it was empty, they didn't say anything about getting the prorated rent back. To be fair, I never asked about the free month or the prorated money back at the end but I do feel like it is their responsibility to go over those items when signing up or leaving. Overall, I would probably rent here again because it was easy. read more

It is close by. It is what I expected from a storage unit. Not their fault but I had a drill and driver lifted while moving in. read more

Exceptional customer service. Zenda was friendly and helpful. Very clean and safe facility.

This review is long overdue, as I've moved my stuff out of my little locker 6 months ago. Overall, I had a pretty good experience with this storage place. The location is quiet, the whole place is gated, and the premises are clean. All the people I interacted with were friendly and helpful. For three years, I harbored my collection of books, china, and all things knick-knacky in one of their 4' x 10' cells. I only stored things that simply wouldn't fit in my 650 sq ft dwelling I share with my husband and 4 cats. But after annual (and sometimes bi-annual) price-hikes, the cost became prohibitive. I removed all my possessions, thanked them for a lovely 3 years and took my stuff back. Now, I must either find a cheaper storage solution, or simply fight my own sentimentality and downsize. read more

Easy, clean, not much to say when things go well. It's a bit of a process to get setup and we had a little mixup with the lock, but the place is clean and the unit itself was nice. I'd rent another unit if needed. read more

My move in was very fast and I was quite nervous at the time but Zenda was so helpful and reassuring. The facility is spotless and safe and at no time did I feel(as I have at other storage sites) nervous about being there alone. The site is well cared for and the staff helpful. Easy in and out/on off freeway access too. I would not hesitate to recommend Extra Space Storage in Scotts Valley. Safe, clean and friendly, helpful staff. "Thank You" Scott's Valley Extra Space Storage. Family. That's how I felt and still do. Thank You!!!!

If you could rate zero stars this place would fit......we had the worst experience of our life with Extra Space storage.....total scammers and they do not understand the concept of customer service and will nickel and dime you till the end.....run away don't do it there are plenty of other options. They are out of the way and way overpriced for what you get. I wish we shopped around before we ended up using these guys for storage. read more
