Instead, she asked me what I was going to store and I said "household goods, like furniture". She said "we don't allow that kind of stuff" and hung up on me! I had a friend call them to see if they could get an answer. They told him they would email the info and never did. So I stopped by the storage facility in the middle of the day. Gates were wide open. The doors to the storage units were heavy, but they were regular doors. It looked pretty easy to break into. No one was in the office and there was no sign as to when they would be. There was a guy sitting in his car, and I asked him about the place. He said "they don't run it like a business."

Our family business has been a loyal and prompt customer for over 7 years. Then we started getting penalty charges even though we paid our bills early. They could not keep our account straight and each month we had to deal with the office to get things corrected. Then, the final straw was when they 'terminated access' and initiated a Lean upon us, even though they begrudgingly admitted that our account was paid in full - these actions happened on the SAME DAY that they sent a receipt showing that everything was paid in full. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. Then, we found out that we had been getting charged MORE THAN $170 each month over their current rates!! When I asked that our rent be adjusted to their current advertised rate, they told me that "I would have to vacate the current unit, move out and then come back as a New Customer"... HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES! Do NOT store here - there are at least (2) other facilities that are charging at least 50% less of what BuxBear is charging - try Extra Space Storage in Watsonville - just 3 exits down the road, this is a brand new, air conditioned facility that we are getting for one third the price of BuxBear - avoid corporate greed and steer clear of BuxBear.

Let me assure everyone that those 2005 Burgundies and Chateau Neuf du Papes and other long term gems are rewarding me now by virtue of proper storage. I'm so glad that my investment in storage and patience is paying off so reliably!! Woohoo! Same goes for the great Armida Zins and Pinots I've stored for 5 years, or 3. If you are serious about accumulating fine wine and proper aging for the near, medians long term future, forget the home wine refrigerator strategy and remotely store your wine properly.
