I started renting two units here at the end of 2024 for reasonable prices $69 and $82 a month. Within just a few months, the constant price hikes started. My units went from under $100 each to nearly $400 each within about six months. It became impossible to keep up. Instead of being able to save money to move my belongings out, I was stuck paying outrageous monthly bills just to avoid losing everything. By March 2026, I made an agreement with the owner that if I had everything moved out by March 31, they would remove the late fees from my account. So I drove four hours away, rented a U-Haul, hired movers, and showed up on March 31 ready to finally clear everything out. When I arrived, there were police at the property. At first I thought nothing of it. I went to my units and realized I only had a key to one of them. The second unit had no key, and the office didn't have one either, so they cut the lock off for me. When I opened the unit, I was completely shocked. My belongings had clearly been broken into, destroyed, torn apart, stolen, and thrown everywhere. Things that I had packed carefully were ripped open and scattered throughout the unit. I then found out the police had been there earlier because another customer had FOUR units broken into. While talking to other renters on the property, another customer told me his unit had also been broken into months earlier. So my question is: where is the security? If this facility is charging people hundreds more every month, why is there apparently no protection for customers' property despite repeated thefts? After seeing the condition of my unit, the staff told me they would give me more time to deal with everything since it was impossible to finish that day. I had to completely repack what was left of my belongings, rent another U-Haul, coordinate movers again, and spend even more money and time trying to clean up a disaster I did not create. I also live four hours away and am currently in an extremely fast-paced nursing program, so trying to handle all of this on top of school and life responsibilities has been overwhelming. Then a month later I called back and was met by an incredibly rude manager who informed me I somehow owed another $780 & what was left of my belongings would be auctioned out June 16th. I was also informed the original manager I had spoken to was no longer working there and didn't leave any notes about my situation. This entire experience has been exhausting, stressful, and unacceptable. Between the insane price increases, lack of security, break-ins, destroyed property, and poor management, I would strongly recommend people think twice before storing their belongings here. I felt completely unsupported as a customer, and it honestly seemed like nobody cared what happened to my belongings once they had my money. read more

If you're thinking about renting a unit here, I strongly encourage you to read the reviews first and consider other options. After I suffered a serious eye injury that left me vision impaired and unable to work, I reached out to explain my situation. It took about a month for the manager, Linda Simon, to respond. Her email essentially said that she was sorry about my situation, but that my belongings would still be auctioned. What disappointed me most wasn't the policy itself, but the lack of compassion. I had been a consistent customer, and during one of the hardest periods of my life, I felt like my circumstances didn't matter at all. The interaction left me feeling dismissed rather than treated with basic empathy. Everyone's experience may be different, but mine was deeply upsetting. Based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend renting here. I would suggest looking elsewhere before trusting this facility with your belongings. read more

So glad I found this place before moving to San Rafael from LA. Great deal, clean facility and climate controlled. Not sure what more you'd want in a storage facility. All the ladies in the office have been great as well! Deva helped me last week with a fidgety lock and was super nice and helpful. All of them are great though. just can't remember the others names. Bottom line, it's a great storage facility read more

The unit I was given (..07) as 10x10 is actually 8x9, I am losing 28% of the space I am supposed to be using, almost 1/3rd!!! I am not happy, I urge everyone to measure before moving in, don't fall for it like the way I did. I do not fit in. Moving to another location will be time consuming, time is money. read more

Predatory. Started out at $89 a month and within 6 months was at $392 per month. No emails or phone calls about increase even though the contract says they will call. Also no mail was delivered even though they claim to be. A class action waiting to happen. read more

Beware of the bait and switch. This company / location offered me a decent rate even though it's a highly inconvenient location in the Bay Area. Three months later they began charging me at a 180% marked up rate, on autopay. When I caught it four months later, they said they had mailed me a notification to the address I had vacated (thus needing storage.) When I called to complain, they first offered that I could move into a smaller unit (I'm traveling, again thus needing storage). When I continued to complain, they knocked off half of the upgraded fee for "7 to 10 months". So shady. Get a price guarantee if you deal with these people. read more

Marcus G. had a similar experience to mine. Only in my case after they bought out the San Pablo Mini Storage company and changed it to Extra Space, within a month or two they notified me that my lock was "missing", so I came to check and found that my unit had been burglarized, probably by another tenant. They stole my Delta table saw, a router, a portable circular saw, a hand truck, two very nice (expensive) hats. They gave me a new lock. After replacing the original owners they had raised the rent from $250 a month to $294 last November 1 and by the end of March they announced another increase to$389 a month. I immediately began to look for another storage space. I have a collection of family heirlooms, paintings and art plus the usual miscelaney. I found another space closer to where I live in Sonoma County, with 24 hour video surveilance, sprinklers in each unit and also individually alarmed units, so they would know immediately if someone broke into a unit. I had to rent U-Haul trucks and made six round trips in order to move the contents of my unit. That cost me close to $600 between the rental costs and the gasoline used. The new manager of the old place, who had told me of the burglary was a pleasant clueless, passive individual who did not follow up on the burglary report and in fact I had to report it to the police who came immediately to see what I was talking about. I would never rent ANYTHING from this company again. Anyone who runs such a sloppy and predatory business can do so without any customers that I recommend! They should be put out of business. read more

So far So Good. Easy to get started and the staff I've dealt with were very supportive.

Monica was very courteous and helpful. The office was presentable. Facilities were very clean. Very pleased with overall service.

Monica was amazing walking us through our first time renting a storage unit. She was able to show us the unit which was really nice, spacious and clean. A very big plus was that she was bilingual and was able to communicate with my mother in law and answer all her questions and concerns. read more
