Don't put your stuff in this storage unit. They raise their prices very often. I'm now paying $40 more than when I first got the unit.

Big thanks first of all to Jared for following up with me about the amount…read moreof stuff I needed to move so we were able to determine the number of movers to send and make the job go smoothly. They were nice and upfront with costs when I reached out for an estimate and were ready to answer my questions. On the day of, these guys all showed up ready to work, were very friendly, and had great attitudes. They didn't waste time and were quick without sacrificing care for my stuff. Recommend them 100% and will be keeping them in mind if and when I look to move again. Just a quick update: I used these guys again for a long distance move from Cincinnati to Georgia and they were once again a great company to work with. They were on time and had great attitudes which is always a huge plus when you're dealing with the stress of a move. Glad to have had two positive moving experiences with these guys.

We hired Robinson Relocations back in June for a fragile pack of kitchen and artwork and to load…read moreour POD and I certainly would not hire them again. We had issues from the beginning with the professionalism of the work. First, we didn't know when they were coming and they just showed up day of. I think they may have given us a window but no other warning other than that. My husband supervised them and noted that they took multiple smoke breaks, even leaving cigarette butts on our property. They also left energy drink cans in our garage, left some of our stuff loose without packing that my husband ended up having to pack, left a set of keys to who knows what, and left several moving blankets in our home that were not ours. Most importantly, we had adhesives on the walls for a bookshelf and they tore those off the walls despite my husband asking them not to which took the paint and some of the drywall off and ending up costing us $200 (which thankfully they reimbursed). The claim process was pretty easy to get the reimbursement, but apparently you can only file one claim, which I didn't realize and made my further claim null when I tried to file another claim for the items that broke during our move. After we moved and we unloaded our POD, we had many issues with how things were packed. We did have our stuff in storage for three months so I am not sure how much that impacted how well things were maintained, but there were obvious errors they made that ended up costing us many of our items. For example, heavier boxes being packed on top of lighter boxes (the movers we hired to unload our POD told us that was an obvious error). We also had a table whose legs were not taken off and therefore was ruined in the move as a leg was ripped off. The same thing happened with one of our night stands that was not wrapped properly and a leg was torn off. Our couch was not wrapped properly, the couch cushions were shoved on top of everything else without any wrapping or cover and all fell out when we unloaded it. Our mattress was not fully covered and got wet. A lot of our fragile items were seeming just poured into boxes. Most of our artwork was not wrapped properly and some were even shoved into boxes that they didn't fit in. It was remarkable that we only lost a few mugs and the rest of our dishes and art were intact. Not a huge deal but we did lose most of our boxes which in previous moves we have been able to reuse. Like I said I filed a claim for some of these items and was told that the claim I had filed earlier I signed a paper that said I couldn't file a claim again. So just be aware of that. They also claimed that none of this was actually their fault, which I would presume any company would do, and would blame the packing of the boxes by the customer (which they did for some of it), the POD and how it was transported (which they did for others), or the unpackers. Because of this, I would recommend going with a full service mover if possible, as I feel they would have treated our things nicer if they knew they were responsible for it through its journey. Unfortunately, since we needed to store our items for a few months, we didn't have that luxury. This was also a very expensive move. About $2k for 4 hours of work. I've attached some photos to showcase the work they did and some of the errors they made. I was really looking forward to working with this local company after seeing many positive reviews but unfortunately we had a very poor experience and would not recommend.

During the move floors were unprotected and gouged and scratched and walls were also scratched and gouged. A 3 piece wall unit was ripped apart without the connecting bolts removed. In addition, 2 of the 6 glass doors were broken. A dryer and freezer were both damaged and the freezer stopped working. Parts were left anywhere. For example, 2 futons were taken apart. At the new house futon parts were found in the garage, some in the kitchen and others in the basement. Shelves to a bookcase were not found. Trash was left behind in our yard after they left. This is not a comprehensive list, just the major highlights. I filed a claim, and almost 4 months later here are the results. The damages to floors and walls cost over $1600 to fix. They offer $0 to repair. The bookcase cost $1100 30 years ago, and $7000 to replicate. They offer $850. The freezer reimbursement offer was $60. I elected $10,000 insurance, but you see the results of my claim submission. Here is Moving Ahead's last reply to me: If you still do not find our current offer to be acceptable, the next step would be to begin the arbitration procedure, as outlined in the documentation you have already received. If you have any questions regarding this process, I would be happy to assist in any way possible.. This has been an absolute nightmare of a move from start to finish. We had given simple…read moreinstructions to pick up at 2 locations and drop off the combined stuff into a single location. At the second location they were bringing my piano up the stairs. Why would I move a piano to a place we are moving from? Next, they laid all of our boxes upside down in the new place. All my containers like grits, oatmeal, and oil spilled all over the place naturally. It's so much more effort to flip a box than to just pull it off a dolly ‍. They laid an ottoman with a lid on upright instead of flat on the ground and naturally all my stuff fell out. Boxes were broken at the bottom, and they just seemed to have thrown them around. Then, they couldn't move my piano up a second flight of stairs even though they were so ok with doing it at the second location, it has been sitting at the bottom of my staircase blocking access to the laundry for 4 days. You know they also wanted a tip by the way. I'm also magically missing a box of shoes that had a pair of vintage inside. I called about that, the guy who answered said he would look and call me back. I never heard anything. Then, after waiting all week (we moved Sunday, it was rescheduled to Friday), they were supposed to come bring my piano up the first flight of stairs, they never showed up. We weren't even asking for them to bring it up to the third floor like we want. I called that morning at 9am and they confirmed they would be coming out after their first move of the day today. At 5:51pm, I called again, and the guy who answered the phone said someone already called to tell us they wouldn't do it and I needed to get professional movers. They didn't. I never heard anything since my confirmation this morning. Now I'm going to call actual professional movers. Overall without including the tip this crap job cost $1200 ( I was quoted $810) and they didn't even finish Update: when they reach out about lost items they expect you to have a receipt and photos of each item. They lost an entire box of shoes with over 20 pairs! Who has receipts for all of that! And if they disagree with you they will pursue legal action and require you to pay their legal fees on top of everything. This place is an absolute scam.
