I emailed "corporate" in late March about their pricing and got no response. I did receive a response from a store manager offering me $10 off. This was an insult as the rate that was currently being advertised is over $80 cheaper than my current rate. They give me some story that my unit is more expensive due to it being a premium unit due to its location and drive-up access. Its just a story to justify their outrageous price gouging. I replied to that offer advising I was never told I would be paying more nor did I ask for a premium unit. Most of their units are drive-up access and the location is not in my opinion "premium". Their online pricing for the same unit with drive up access does not mention anything about premium location or units and again is way cheaper than what I currently pay. They refuse to respond to further emails about the pricing. To add insult to injury, I just received a rate increase notification in the mail. They are now raising the rent to $394. That is $136.75 OVER what they currently have listed on their website and $109 OVER local competitors. Long story short - do yourself a favor and price shop before choosing where to rent storage from. CubeSmart is only about raising rates! Very disappointed with CubeSmart and how you treat your long time customers.
