We have a storage now 10 by 20 for many years. We are charged $631 monthly. I called main 800 number for a quote as a new customer and the rate is $356 monthly. So as long term customer we have to pay 50% more than someone new. This is bad business and complete disrespect to loyal customers They raise prices every year. Just a courtesy heads up..extra space is more than doubling rates with zero notice to customers. I spoke finally to the manager at Ladera and requested the GM's number. While I understand I signed a contract with a verbiage saying "slight increases are possible", an increase from $97 to $194 is a bit much. If I had been given proper notice, other arrangements would have been made. Just an FYI for any one else that may want to check their acounts. read more

They will raise the price on you every few months, they promote cheep storage but that's far from the truth, started out with 165 monthly payments for a 10x5 unit about a year ago, 6 months into that they upped it to 195 and 6 months after that it's now 250, don't use this place!!! 250 a month for a storage unit is outrageous read more

The people and service was nice at this location. The location is secured and feels safe. What did not work well is the unit. We rented a 30' deep unit for our camper, and the garage, once you open it, is at an angle making it impossible to park anything larger than our 10' long camper in it. As soon as you start to go in the unit door, it curves. We had to build a dolly to drop our camper onto and push it in/out by hand. That was the only way to get it in since the truck wouldn't fit inside the door at an angle! Worst design of a storage unit ever. Even pushing our camper in by hand and removing the awning, we still scratched the side of our camper because it was impossible to fit the camper at just the right angle. If you want to pay $750/month to store boxes in a 30' deep garage, knock yourself out because that's all that unit was good for. read more

The female manager here is incredibly rude. I was quoted something and told it would be saved until a specific date and when I called to reserve a space under that reservation, the entire story changed. The price increased $150! Good grief. This place sure gives you a run for your money. read more

I'll start out by saying I was incredibly skeptical of storage places in general. I found Extra Space and was impressed with how clean and well kept it was, so I went with it. Honestly, my experience couldn't have been better. When I went to check on my things and get a few items after about 9 months, I couldn't believe that there was not even a single fleck of dust or one cobweb in my unit. I brought a duster prepared to have to do some cleaning, and it was remarkable how well kept my things were. I no longer need storage and recently moved out after 2 years, and the move out process was very easy. Should I ever need storage again, I'm coming straight here. Thank you Extra Space! read more

I have been looking for a storage space to store my classic vehicle. Many of the other storage locations are not well kept or do not have a great security. In addition, the employees at these other storage locations seem kind of sketchy. I came to this extra space location and was very surprised at how clean, secure and convenient the location is. After talking to the manager, Trent, I felt even more comfortable storing my vehicle at this location. I was very happy with extra space until it was time to cancel my unit. Their site allows you to believe you can submit online but in actuality you have to call in order for it to count and receive a refund if you move out before your next billing cycle. It is apparently stated in the documents you sign upon move in but how can they expect someone to remember everything within a lease document from a year +. You should be notified/reminded when submitting through the online portal. read more

I had a storage unit in California at the Ladera Ranch location earlier this year. I had no issues until they doubled my rent after 3 months! So I decided to move out. When I moved (I had paid for the entire month but moved out 1 week after making my payment) I found out they will NOT reimburse you if you do that so BEWARE! I never saw that in their contract, actually I never saw ANY contract, so be sure to read their rules or ask them before you rent from them. I never had that problem with any other storage company. read more

This is certainly one of the best storage facilities that you can find anywhere. Their cleanliness is immaculate, their units are amazing and they have dolly carts to help move with that are always abundant and new. But above all else they have a team that delivers truly wonderful customer service with that little extra touch of kindness and understanding. I can't say enough about them all. An extra special thank you to the asst. Manger (forgive me for not remembering his name at the moment) and to Teresa Silva. WOW!!!
