    I was initially so impressed with All My Sons dba "New City Moving". They quoted me $190/hr for…read morelabor plus a $290 flat fee, and I paid a $100 deposit. The team confirmed all the details ahead of time, including my request to move over 10 pieces of artwork. They estimated a 5-hour move with three men, and on the day of the move, they arrived promptly at 8 AM, worked efficiently, and completed the move-out by 1 PM. The move-in process at my new home started at 1 PM and wrapped up around 3 PM. Throughout the day, the team was respectful, careful with my belongings, and truly seemed to go the extra mile. I was so appreciative of their hard work that when the team lead, Sergio, requested a cash tip, I went to the ATM and withdrew $500 -- $200 of which I gave directly to the crew as they finished up. Unfortunately, this is where my experience took a sharp turn. I placed the remaining $300 in my purse, consisting of one $100 bill and $200 in $20 bills. After noticing the sky open up around 2:30 PM with heavy rain, I felt even more sympathetic to their efforts and decided to give them an additional $100. When I went to retrieve the money, I was shocked to find my purse had been disturbed and only $100 (in 20's) remained. To make matters worse, when I returned to my old apartment to finish cleaning, I found a pile of belongings left behind. Despite paying for a full-service move, it seems the crew simply decided some of my things weren't worth taking. The lack of communication and care was beyond frustrating. And if all of that wasn't enough, after providing my email address multiple times, I still have not received an itemized receipt, invoice, or a clear breakdown of charges. The final bill came to $2,145 -- almost twice the original estimate -- leaving me furious. After deducting the $100 deposit, I owed $2,045. I understand that moving is tough and unexpected factors can arise, but the dramatic increase in cost combined with the apparent theft, lack of accountability, and poor service left a lasting impression. I cannot in good conscience recommend All My Sons dba "New City Moving." While the physical labor of the move was well done, the lack of integrity and professionalism by at least one member of the crew completely ruined the experience. If you decide to use this company, I strongly advise keeping your valuables secured, double-checking that all your belongings are loaded, documenting all interactions, and following up on the communication regarding your charges.

They didn't give an actual bill and only cited "materials" as the reason for the price change even though I had everything packed in boxes and I even physically helped them get things in to and out of the truck. They also charge a service fee just to be able to pay them. The 2 guys who showed up and moved my stuff we're nice enough but I absolutely would NOT recommend hiring this company.

We were reassured the move would take about 8-9 hours with 4 movers and that the total would remain close to that estimate. This move was from one house to another house within a mile of each other in the same neighborhood! On move day, the crew did conduct an inventory at the beginning but did not communicate any changes or provide an updated estimate. They proceeded to load all of our belongings onto the truck. Only after everything was loaded did they inform us that the total had increased to over $13,000 -- more than four times what we were quoted. At that point, they refused to unload any of our belongings unless we paid in full. Even after we paid approximately $12,000, they still would not begin unloading until additional payment was made. This happened late at night with all of our possessions on their truck, leaving us with no real option. We asked to speak with a supervisor to understand the charges. Although he was placed on speakerphone, he refused to speak with us or explain why the cost had increased so dramatically. Throughout the process, we were repeatedly required to sign documents on a phone that we could not properly review, and they would not explain what we were signing. We were told we had to sign to continue while under pressure due to a strict move-out deadline. The final bill included many concerning charges, including: * Repeated charges for the same items/services (exercise equipment, Peloton, TVs, glass handling) * Significant material charges (e.g., dozens of rolls of tape and excessive wrapping) that we did not authorize and explicitly asked them not to use * Additional services that were not clearly disclosed in advance *They broke our new storm door and our master King Bed Frame. At the end of the move, we were also required to provide photographs of our credit card and identification, which took over an hour. We never agreed to this beforehand and felt extremely uncomfortable given the circumstances. Overall, this experience felt highly pressured and not transparent. The final cost was dramatically higher than what was represented, and we were not given a fair opportunity to review or approve charges before being required to pay. If we did not pay in full, we were not getting our materials. I began to fear for my kids and my safety. I have never been in such a terrifying pressuring situation that I was completely taken advantage of!

If you can avoid having to deal with the other employees, you should be able to have a less stressful experience. They are very dismissive, untrained, and tend to give you attitude whenever you need help. I've recently have dealt with an infestation of moths in the unit as well. Upon entry of the building there were a variety of dead bugs in the hallways around certain unit doors. Like I've said, the place has gone downhill at an alarming rate since Mike has left. Never have I had an issue with this location until now.

All access is electronically controlled by PIN pads located throughout the building and each locker has a keyed padlock on it. Depending on your locker size you might get an individually monitored unit alarm, ours had it, smaller lockers might not. The entire building has tons of CCTV cameras located throughout and looks very secure against would be burglars. Cleanliness: Even the bathrooms are secured by PIN pad, if that doesn't tell you the place is kept extremely clean then I don't know what will. Everything is immaculate inside the building with the exception of some scuffs and scratches here and there from people recklessly careening through the halls with loading dollys. Price: I hear it already, I can hear the voices of people saying "that place is expensive" SHUT UP! You get what you pay for. If you want top tier storage with high security and climate control to guarantee that your sensitive vinyl record collection and high end computers stay safe during your move you're going to need a company like Safeguard. Bottom line: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Don't skimp on protecting your stuff if you have high value items. If you're just storing a bunch of boxes of clothes and general housewares you probably don't need a fancy storage provider with climate controlled indoor storage and can go for an outdoor locker. All that said, for what we were storing, records and high value computing and storage arrays along with a plethora of other sensitive electronics it was well worth the extra money knowing our stuff was safely stored under climate controlled lock and key. Location: It's right off the highway which makes it easy to get to with a large truck and their loading dock can accommodate most any truck you can throw at it. Loading Dock: An enclosed loading dock is a nice plus especially when it's suddenly started raining and you want to unload your truck into storage. Unloading dollies are provided and all were in good working order when I was there. Bottom Line: If you are looking for top notch storage this is your place. If you are storing low value items that don't need climate control then you might be better served elsewhere.

I also forwarded this email to the FMCSA where I've already filed a formal complaint. I want Spark to work with us to get the insurance claim filed/settled. To date they have been unresponsive to my broker and MovingClaims. 5/6/19 To whom it may concern (Spark Moving), I am writing to personally address your company about my recent claim with MovingClaims.net and I'm asking your company to be timely and responsive through this process so we can come up with a resolution sooner rather than later. Missing items: 55in Westinghouse TV Kitchen box: Mr. Coffee coffee maker, 3 Yeti 20oz travel mugs, 1 Arctic 20oz travel mug. I had to send back items on 2 occasions during the delivery because the driver tried giving me items that weren't mine. I'm assuming that's where my TV and missing kitchen box went. Damaged items: Broken sectional couch frame and torn fabric (underside), torn fabric headboard, Sanyo WiFi ready blue ray player broken, some bowls broken, glasses cracked/broken. And kitchen table top cracked and scratched (clearly dropped). *I have pictures of all of these damages. Unfulfilled paid work/Other: Your delivery driver (one worker) dropped my items and did not reassemble any of the furniture. A new local acquaintance I met here helped your driver unload the truck. There were also several delivery delays causing me to miss or rearrange work. Hopefully we can resolve this through movingclaims.net and further legal action will not be required. I've asked multiple times for them to provide me with the required documentation and they are flat out being non-responsive. The broker who has been semi-useful up to this point is no longer being useful either. DO NOT USE GOLD STANDARD RELOCATION. Now that the move is done they have quit on their responsibilities to help me with things like claims. Furthermore they did zero vetting on this joke of a company (Spark Moving). Spark HAD a Facebook page but had since deleted since so many people fucked out by then we're communicating and organizing to file a class action lawsuit. Do not use this company.
