RATS RATS RATS! Beware!!!!!! Do not use this facility if you care about your belongings!!! We have been storing some of our things here for about 6 months. My husband noticed rat droppings back in Jan or Feb. He called the office and they said they were aware and handling it. What they meant was, they are doing absolutely nothing. My husband went back today and it's even worse. Almost everything inside the unit is destroyed. The girl working there offered a 25 dollar credit and asked if we wanted a smaller unit closer to the front because they haven't had complaints up there. She also stated that they have known about the rat problem since February and we can take our stuff and go, if we want. So we basically paid this company hundreds of dollars to let our stuff get destroyed. It is complete negligence on their part. We are moving whatever is even left of our belongings to a new storage facility ASAP! This place is disgusting and a bunch of liars!!! read more

I miss Jessica who I had the pleasure of her assisting me on whatever I needed in the years of being a customer. I had a move-out date and unfortunately i missed it by the morning before of them opening and charge $3 and change...also I was appalled by JULIO lecturing me on not charging me dumping fee for the few empty boxes I left behind for anyone that needed. Julio needs to removed from customer service. He talks down to their paying customer. Julio could use some classes from Jessica on customer service. OH Mr. Julio also says "If your going to continue this conversation than I will have something to say...". Just because I cut him off...no bueno Extra Space for Julio representing your business. I will not recommend this location so no one has to be confronted by Julio. read more

PROS: units were clean, had a very friendly manager on the premise. they have a working soda vending machine by the gate. CONS: boxes were slightly costing more here than other storage facilities; outgoing keypad is broken every now and then; and because of their ongoing promo of 1 free month. they said we were not allowed to access our first unit while we were moving more stuff into the second. at first i was confused. why would that matter? apparently, some people pull out of the first unit into the second unit during the first month to extend the life of their "free month" which is kind of stupid because how could a business honor that customer if they are "pulling out of one unit"? -- the only reason one does that is because they are moving away or unhappy with the business. But the fact that they have a second unit means they are staying put. Ergo, they should stipulate that in their contract instead of giving stupid restrictions to their customers. If their customers are not good at gauging how much stuff they have, why would you begrudge them from renting a second unit -- and why would it matter if they are accessing BOTH units at the same time? *shakes my head* read more

If my review could include negative Stars it would include it. We have had our our stuff in storage here for a couple of years and in the past year it has become completely rat-infested. My beautiful saddle was completely torn apart by these hungry hungry rats. Unfortunately there's not much you can do once you know the damage is done. I highly do not recommend this place if you can run from here run if you need a storage solution go somewhere else. The people are nice in the office that's not being questioned but nobody's property should be subjected to so much rat infestation and feces it's disgusting our unit had nothing but tools and Saddles and everything into it yet there was rat feces everywhere. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND RISK YOUR PROPERTY AT THIS AWFUL, PATHETIC ESTABLISHMENT. BY FAR THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM FROM ANY BUSINESS I HAVE EVER SEEN I wish there were negative stars to give. My experience with Extra Space Storage was the least professional set of encounters I have ever experienced in my life. My friends and I rented a 10x15 storage unit for the summer, to store our furniture while we were home away from college. Everything was fine from May until August, while we were away from the unit and didn't know what was going on back in California. When I returned in the middle of August, I found my property to all be damaged by many, many rodents - probably mice. Looking through all of the damaged property, I calculated over $400 of damages. It took me days to hear back from the facility manager on my damaged products, who didn't call me until the week later at 5:40 on a weekday (office closing at 6) and told me I had to go to the unit as soon as possible to remove my damaged property, throw it out, and then file a claim with their insurance partner (at which point they removed any responsibility and left it in the hands of the insurance provider). I went there later that night, and my gate access was suspended. I went the next day during office hours, but the store manager was out of the office, from 1 to 4 on a Wednesday afternoon. After weeks of dealing with this abysmal and pathetic business, I was forced to remove my damaged goods and dispose of it, and then file a claim with the insurance provider. A week after contacting the insurance provider, I was informed that the insurance doesn't cover the following happenings: theft, fire, mysterious disappearance, mold, mildew, water, rain, rodents, insects, acts of God, etc. Wonderful! I can't imagine what the insurance does cover, if it doesn't cover any of these things. To make matters worse, when I returned from the summer, the main gate to the facilities was left open for three days in a row over the weekend, and when I asked the manager in the office why that was, he responded "huh, that's strange. I had a temporary manager cover for me and I hadn't heard about that". read more

According to Amanda the place is very clean and safe, Amanda was ready to show me the units in the middle of this process she recive a phone call from a client, who was complaining over the phone. Right in that moment another client inside the property ask her about the green boxes all over the property, Amanda put the client she had over the phone in hold. and told the other client, with a passive aggressive tone well is for the rats, what you have never see a rat trap bait, right after this lady left, Amanda mentioned, black old lady she is here all the time asking stupid questions . she also forgot the her other customer was still in the hold. Amanda I undertand that we all have bad day at work. I'm sure top-level professional Amanda helpful, crystal clear,enthusiastic and sincere intention was gone for the day . New manager runs cleanest location I've seen so far. The units are clean, nice landscaping, and the manager Linda is so helpful. Her smile is contagious and I feel safe storing my stuff at this location. She lives at this facility and goes out of her way to help you when you forget your code to get in or out. Ok so I started with the "promotional rate" of $117 per month less than 2 years ago. My rate is now at $173 per month!!! They send you out a flyer that says they are raising your rate and bam...your rate is raised. I am all for cost of doing business increases but a 48% increase in less than 2 years is absurd and should be illegal. They know they have you because it is a hassle to keep moving your stuff to get promotion rates. I am out in December so I will never use these guys again. read more

We rentend our unit in February. Even though we filled out an extra step in the online application that we understood to mean that we were confirmed, the onsite management called us up to two times per day. Apparently people in the office don't communicate with each other much. I would assure them we were moving in and still get calls asking the same questions I'd answered. When we were supposed to do the paperwork to move in I showed up at the site and no one was in the office though it was during their posted business hours. I was told that the manager might be out to lunch. I waited for approximately half an hour and had to leave. I returned two hours later and again no one was in the office. A contractor who was working on office remodeling again said the manager was at lunch. After waiting for another 20 minutes, I had to call corporate headquarters. They were unable to reach the manager either. I then had to come back a third time to sign papers. She would not answer questions about her absence but eventually stated she had gone to the bank. Fine. They place stickers on all locks. Sometimes the stickers fall off. You'll get a phone call about whether you changed your lock. It might take you 5 minutes of assurances that you did not change your lock to get the person on the phone to believe you. Finally, after only 4 months of occupancy we were notified that our rent was jumping from $186 to $214 per month. A 15% rent raise. We are out. Tired of the incompetence and the bait and switch on rent. read more
