Wabash) before I rented the unit and to my surprise, the unit was atrocious, rat-infested, holes in the wall and holes in the floor, and seemed very unsafe. I cannot believe that they rent units in this condition and are charging over $200/month. I assumed the Public Storage would be a professional, clean, and safe environment hence why I did not feel the need to investigate beforehand. After my surprise seeing the unit, I immediately went to the front desk to see if I could see other units and the person at the front desk offered another unit for $240 that also was almost as disgusting as the first one. Definitely not a place where you would store your possessions. I didn't use the unit nor did I move anything in (obviously) and Public Storage still has not refunded me even though I have reached out twice. I ended up moving my things into CubeSmart 407 E 25th St. The service was impeccable, the storage units are secure, safe, and clean.

I admit I would be happier w/o the rental increases of last few years; however, they were very considerate of financial hardship durung COVID. Most recently, my storage needs have changed and in the process it's been a true blessing to have Mario facilitate making what has been a stressful situation as stress free as possible. The manager told me each unit intentionally has a large rat trap and my imagination went wild... what if a mouse dies in the trap? no one will know a dead mouse is there until there is a smell. and if there is a smell, it's gonna take a while before anyone notices and then an even longer while before they find out which unit the smell is coming from and when they do finally realize it, they'll cut my lock and move all my stuff out the way to dispose of it? and then put the same nasty mouse trap back in the unit? or maybe they let the dead mouse stay in there and it's up to me to come back and remove it? I travel so I wouldn't be coming here often to check on things or SMELL things... the thought of all this gave me anxiety so I decided not to continue. they should put a mouse trap in the office displays so customers can be aware of how severe of a pest issue they have.

I was a very nervous about a cross-country move but U-Haul really made it stress free The staff at this location was attentive and very helpful. The container does look small from the outside but it fits way more than you'd expect. Ii managed to load up most of my stuff and everything arrived in perfect condition including tv. No damage, no missing items. Overall just super reliable service. I could track the progress and have peace of mind during such a big move. If you're considering a long-distance move and want something secure and affordable among other services out there, I'd 100% recommend U-Haul's container service. I have a bone to pick with this place let's start with money…read more Upon entering into a lease with this facility, I have had nothing but trouble. First of all, the staff was friendly as heck but then it went downhill when all of my personal items went missing from my storage space. I tacked on the extra fee in insurance and look what happens... I learned that my items were missing, I immediately want to leave the space because, I don't trust it any longer. Although I had more days left on my leasing agreement to remove my things, my code to access my belongings by the garage entrance was locked. I was with a brother who had cerebral palsy and wheelchair bound, they locked us out sooner then usual and I had expressed to the associate manager that I was moving out. The manager immediately deactivates my code and the next month I am still being charged a storage fee!
