I think this place is close to where I live and I've had a space for a while. I recently had a…read morefire at my apartment and the person helping me made sure I got what I needed. They kept the doors open for my transfer from one unit to another and opened the gate each and every time I needed it. The place is clean and easy to get to. They all you a few days before payment is due so you don't pay fees either. Price is a bit high but I think storage is expensive. I think is is a cool spot if you need a place to drop off some stuff. It's like having an extra closet.

I was set up with my paperwork by an associate and I was under the impression that I had insurance on my unit since he and I talked about it during the paperwork process. I had just arrived to Brooklyn, to put my life basically, into this unit, so of course I wanted insurance. So after seeing and speaking with the associate over the phone many times when paying my monthly bill, never once did he mention that the page concerning my insurance had not been signed. So from day one, I was under the impression that I was paying for my unit to be insured and like I said, I had just gotten off the road from a 13-14 hour trip, so I was exhausted mentally and physically. I found Tuck It Away prior to coming to NYC and spoke with them a few times about what was available and they called me when the size that I needed became available. So I hadn't seen the unit prior to showing up. There was a large ceiling hole over the unit and when I asked about that hole, they said that it was there from an old ceiling leak that had been fixed. I really didn't have any other choices at that time so I took their word for it since everything seemed to be on the up and up during the whole process leading up to my arrival. I came to check on my unit many times and everything looked ok when I came to see my belongings. So the day that I moved out of my storage which was approx June 15th, 2015, the unit felt really damp and musty and this combination made me cough the further in that I got into the unit, as we unloaded it during the move. So at the very back of the unit, where my very large and expensive area rug was folded up, is where my coughing got worse and then I discovered that my rug had large amounts of yellow and white mold covering it. The rug was sitting in an area not too far from the ceiling hole and the wall that had gotten wet due to water running down the wall from a ceiling leak, that ran into my unit. So I talked to the new manager Stephen and showed him what happened and explained the scenario with with the old rep to him and he tried his best to direct me to the right person but let me know that his company, Extra Space, would most likely not assume the responsibility even though they acquired the company and responsibility just days prior to this. After sending an email about what happened per Stephan's advise and requesting to talk with Justin, the regional, they never provided me with any type of solution and basically played the blame game with Tuck It Away. The last time that I talked to Justin while waiting for a response about resolve, was in July and Iv'e yet to hear back from him with anything. My rug is very valuable and though I can't get the time wasted on the day of my move back, from having to handle this mishap, I would just like a refund on what I had to spend to clean the rug before bringing it into my new apartment, because there is no way that I could've brought that rug in here like that.

HOW RUDE CAN AN EMPLOYEE BE???…read more I had the most horrible experience with this particular branch just a few days ago. I arrived at 6pm, on the website and on the door of the building, it states closing time is at 7pm. I arrive in the freezing cold while it was snowing with my son in my hands because I needed emergency storage and I rushed over there before they closed. I was told rudely that I could not open a new unit because they closed the system one hour before closing time. WTF? on the door it says that office hours close 1/2 hr before closing. Why does this branch need to close one hour before time? I was furious. I asked for the managers name and how the manager could be reached because I wanted to put in a formal complaint. I was told, I could not get that information. Now, I am not a new consumer, I know how business work. When I told them, that you have to give me that information I was disrespected and brushed off. For sake of time and space I will not go into detail of how bad the two employees treated a potential customer. I would never give them my business, especially with all the competition that is around. I suggest you do not do business with them.

I've rented several units from…read moreUhaul in the past, and in addition to finding them dirty and run down, I had an awful customer service experience last time and was seeking an alternative. Park Circle Storage is very convenient to where we live in Ditmas Park, and also shares the block with a zipcar parking lot, which is equally convenient for picking up and dropping off stuff to our unit. We reserved a space online and came in to sign the lease and get the keys. The service is really helpful and customer oriented, the manager was friendly and personable and very knowledgeable and invested in the facility. Unfortunately the unit we reserved online wasn't actually available when we got there, something about the way the system doesn't consider a space rented until the lease is signed in person... so we were disappointed to have to take a smaller space than we planned. However, we were given a discount for the inconvenience, and again the manager went out of his way to make sure we felt good about renting there. He also indicated that they were in the process of expanding, and put us on a wait list for the bigger unit. The facility itself is probably the best storage facility I've ever seen, and I've used several from different companies over the years. It's bright and modern and clean - very clean! I like that it's well lit, the units are metal with metal and concrete doors and floors, which reduces mice and bugs that sometimes plague other facilities. There was absolutely no trace of rodent droppings or bugs anywhere. There are dollies and movable stairs available to make it easier to get your stuff in and out, and I really liked that there was a loading bay in the back of the building where you can pull your car in and unload directly onto a dolly for easier maneuvering. It was GREAT not to have to double park on the street or circle the block to find street parking. The security there is great, when you get your key you get a code so you can come in and out anytime, and I liked that you can set the code yourself so it's easy to remember. I've been back several times to add things to our unit and each time the manager is personable and greets me familiarly, and the whole place just has the feel of a small, local business that really cares about its reputation and customers. Finally, they have other services as well - bike storage, mailboxes for rent and package receiving. I asked a lot of questions about these services, and was really happy to find out that we don't have to sign a contract for any specific time for any of them, we can add or subtract whatever we want as needed. Which means if we want to utilize their bike storage services just for the month of December when our apartment is crowded with guests in and out for the holidays all month we can, and then not be locked in, and the same with package reception, since we don't have a doorman. All in all, I'm super happy with this place, and happy to recommend it.
