My partner and I had a great experience at this storage place. I've rented several units from Uhaul in the past, and in addition to finding them dirty and run down, I had an awful customer service experience last time and was seeking an alternative. Park Circle Storage is very convenient to where we live in Ditmas Park, and also shares the block with a zipcar parking lot, which is equally convenient for picking up and dropping off stuff to our unit. We reserved a space online and came in to sign the lease and get the keys. The service is really helpful and customer oriented, the manager was friendly and personable and very knowledgeable and invested in the facility. Unfortunately the unit we reserved online wasn't actually available when we got there, something about the way the system doesn't consider a space rented until the lease is signed in person... so we were disappointed to have to take a smaller space than we planned. However, we were given a discount for the inconvenience, and again the manager went out of his way to make sure we felt good about renting there. He also indicated that they were in the process of expanding, and put us on a wait list for the bigger unit. The facility itself is probably the best storage facility I've ever seen, and I've used several from different companies over the years. It's bright and modern and clean - very clean! I like that it's well lit, the units are metal with metal and concrete doors and floors, which reduces mice and bugs that sometimes plague other facilities. There was absolutely no trace of rodent droppings or bugs anywhere. There are dollies and movable stairs available to make it easier to get your stuff in and out, and I really liked that there was a loading bay in the back of the building where you can pull your car in and unload directly onto a dolly for easier maneuvering. It was GREAT not to have to double park on the street or circle the block to find street parking. The security there is great, when you get your key you get a code so you can come in and out anytime, and I liked that you can set the code yourself so it's easy to remember. I've been back several times to add things to our unit and each time the manager is personable and greets me familiarly, and the whole place just has the feel of a small, local business that really cares about its reputation and customers. Finally, they have other services as well - bike storage, mailboxes for rent and package receiving. I asked a lot of questions about these services, and was really happy to find out that we don't have to sign a contract for any specific time for any of them, we can add or subtract whatever we want as needed. Which means if we want to utilize their bike storage services just for the month of December when our apartment is crowded with guests in and out for the holidays all month we can, and then not be locked in, and the same with package reception, since we don't have a doorman. All in all, I'm super happy with this place, and happy to recommend it. read more

Park Circle Storage seemed like a nice place, and Miguel, the salesman and enforcer of the facility seemed nice enough, but the second I moved in my things, their true colors really began to show. Although it may seem very tempting because it is the only storage facility in the immediate area, I would caution anyone from using this facility. I am sure it may be possible to have a fine experience there, but after all that I have been through there, I feel I must tell my story so no one ever has to put themselves or their possessions at the mercy First they started adding various erroneous charges to my bills, and with all at their mercy, and with the threat of them locking my unit if any part of the bill is a few days late, I felt trapped into paying whatever they put on my bill. On top of that I had problems with their autopay, and apparently their website, where customers are supposed to be able to go on to pay their bills, never works. Still after all these payment challenges, particularly for someone who might be away, very busy, or elderly, their late fees just after just a few days are unreasonably high. This past Monday I went to get something from my storage unit. As I began to peel away rugs off the pile I saw that one of the rugs had been gnawed through. When I peeled that rug away the one below it was gnawed through. In that pile they ate through 8 rugs and when I removed that pile I saw they had used all the wool, and plastic that I had wrapped some of the rugs in, to build 2 nests in the back of the unit. I also saw rodent feces in various locations. I went to the front to tell the the man that works there. He came back to look, acted like he was recording something on his phone, and that was it. I asked if they could get an exterminator, and he told me maybe sometime next week (this was on a Monday). I proceeded to take out the rest of my rugs. I had to disassemble the rats nests and throw everything out and then put my rugs back in because I had nowhere to bring them. I am supposed to be out of the facility by 7pm, so at five minutes passed seven as I am working trying to clean up this horribly disgusting and unsanitary disastrous situation by myself (after he had seen all my valuable rugs that had been completely destroyed), Miguel comes back and tells me that I would be charged $50 because it was five past seven. I went back to the storage facility on Wednesday to check out the situation. As I got to the hallway that my unit is in I began to smell a overpowering oder of rotten food. I believe the odor was coming from one of the one of the units right next to mine. I could not believe they would allow it to smell like this in a storage facility. I went to tell the guy in the office, but there was no one there. I went back to get some of my more valuable rugs to take out of there, and as I am opening my unit, the man that works there comes from the back. I asked him what the smell was. He says "what smell?" pauses and than says, "oh thats the garbage container in the back." I waited for him to continue walking, and then I went to the back room where the container is kept. As soon as I opened the door and stepped into the room where the garbage container was kept the smell went away. The garbage container had a thick chain lock around it. There was a tiny opening that I was able to peek through. There was nothing in the container, and no smell coming from it at all. I went to the front office to tell Miguel that I I thought someone had rotten food in their unit. He told me again that it was the garbage in the container. I asked him why they would have garbage that smelled like that inside a storage facility where there is no food allowed and then told him that I had checked the garbage container and there was no smell and it was empty. He quickly told me in a frustrated manor that he did not have to discus it with me. He later came back and said that I would be charged another $50 because he claimed I had not swept up the gnawed wool pieces well enough on Monday, which I had done. He did not offer any place for me to temporarily move my things, or any offer any type of support or help from an exterminator to treat the units. I believe they ignored a real health risk to me and to others. He would not even acknowledge the root of the problem and just lied about everything. I have paid Park circle storage a lot of money in rent, and other outrageous and very questionable fees which they've charged me over the last 18 months, and still they have left me to fend for myself in this situation which is outrageous, and a real health risk. I have never written a complaint about any other business before, but I felt obligated to let people in the neighborhood know of the risks that are involved with keeping their valued possessions at the Park Circle Storage, and of their dishonest and unethical business practices in general. read more

Miguel was awesome. He did all my paperwork and gave me a tour. The place was super-clean, and I was impressed with the keypad security. I got a really good deal through Groupon. If you do the same, you should note that it'll take a little longer to finish the paperwork. The Groupon thing is new to them and not easily entered into their computer system. The only gripe I have is being surprised with a $35 admin fee. There was no mention of the fee on their website or on the Groupon deal. It's not so much the money that upsets me; it's the surprise. I'd already bought the Groupon and driven all the way down there so I just sucked it up and paid the fee. But I wish I had known about the fee when I was choosing a storage facility. Finally, if you're like me and am storing stuff for the first time, be sure to bring a lock if you have one (saves you from buying one for $14 at Park Circle). read more

First time renting a storage unit. I checked out other units in Brooklyn, this is by far the cleanest, secure and well lite. I got a 5x5x4 storage unit though groupon. They honored it exactly as stated. There was a $35 admin fee which was stated. They have a front and back entrance. Only negative is that there is only room for one vehicle in the dock at a time. Didn't realize I couldn't give out no stars here, you definitely deserve 0. Your team is getting a star because I can't give you any less. Your team has my debit and passport information so i don't care if you bring my review down, it's a cautionary tale about the shady deals your company pulls off at the expense of people who won't take the time to inform others. The dead give away about my last day here was "Miguel" informing my "debit card charge had not gone through", it wasn't the final day. How do you call a game while the time is still running? Was in a tight place and it was matter of hours of moving my equipment from point a to point b, it fell through, and "Miguel" gave me the "help" i needed. Yo, I've been in a tight spot this past month and for someone to charge me 50$ for staying an extra 3 minutes after 7pm on the last day of storage is outrageous. I did my best to be diplomatic about everything yet i was hit with a hustle. I realize we're in Brooklyn, but i was raised here and you can't hustle a hustler. Complained about the 50$ charge of 3 MINUTES, and asked to speak with a person "in charge", and i was hit with "Miguel's" rhetoric, and he hit me with "i have to charge you for every minute you're on the phone with him/her", as i was still in the office. So I was going to get charged to speak to a person in power? I don't pay to spend time with anyone unless you're my lawyer, my bartender or the person cooking my food. I have filed a report with consumer affairs over this. You have video of the incident, and don't reach out to me as the city will resolve this as i believe in diplomacy and democracy. read more

I'd had a great experience until this weekend. I get an email telling me my unit is going to auction this Monday and they are charging me $100+ in late fees. I was setup for autopay so I would assume the payment went through unless they contacted me. No emails or messages until now explaining that there was a problem. Also my last payment was due in December so charging me over a months rental cost in late fees after I've been a customer for a couple years seems extreme. read more

I have been storing my belongings here since they opened and I can honesty say that it has turned to absolute crap. The security and the rooms are fine, I guess, but their customer service and managerial presence are utterly non-existent. And when I say non-existent, I mean it. I have been trying to pay my storage fee for April for over a week; I have left voicemails, I have tried to pay online but the link does not work.And now they have the balls to send me a new invoice with a late fee assessed. If they are trying to get me out so they can turn around and rent it for more money, it's working. This place is horrible. read more

I live around the area here in Brooklyn and I've always pass by this place I felt like it was a small storage room area but today I made my 1st visit and made a deal and I've made one of the best decisions of this year in where I can put my stuff inside a storage room. The representative named Miguel works there is very kind very formative he gave me a quick guide through the entire place give me the rundown on the options on everything that has to be covered within the storage area and the customer service given to me was phenomenal. They have things from boxes to lockers alongside from being a storage place and have stuff for supplies. I highly recommend this place for storage you have a variety of storage sizes and it's great because it's in the neighborhood now I know where to place my stuff with the security and peace of mind great customer service. I've used these guys a couple times and they're great. The people who run the office are very nice(Miguel especially) and helpful, I've never had a problem with the auto-bill pay, and there's a lot of variety of unit sizes at good prices. They're very accommodating and don't play any tricks (I'm moving out today, Feb 1, and technically I'm supposed to pay for the whole month but Miguel just billed me for the day). First of all I'd like to emphasize that I've never written a review but with the extremely poor scheming mentality this place has I'm forced to forewarn the consumer about their negative business. They're advertising on Groupon $59 for 3 months...when you get there ace tulle they don't have what you're purchasing so they try to charge you $90 a day and credit you the $59 on groupon, and you'll pay the difference of $211 and don't forget you paid $59 already thinking you're done for (3) months. It's all a scam be very careful, they're just trying to lure you in there with the groupon so once you bring all your stuff you're not going to want to be hustled bringing it elsewhere so you're forced to go the, terrible! read more

Nice man who runs the place. Good prices. I had 15 medium/small boxes and the space was under $100 and I can bring more stuff if I need and double that in the space for under $100. Gave me 2nd month free b/c I found them on Yelp, that is nice! Also there is a little parking in the back for 1 vehicle when you are dropping off stuff. Also has a dolley thing to put the boxes on. Bought a $4 lock down the street. Miguel will tell you where the hard where place is so you can buy a lock to secure it. You also are given access to your stuff 7am-8pm I believe. read more

This place is great. I had my stuff in storage there for a few years before moving, otherwise I'd have stayed forever. The place is in great shape and the staff is really nice and on the ball. They never raised their rates on me either, which is something I worry about with storage units. You can always go for a visit and see if it works for you. read more

I used these guys for short term storage. It's a very smooth operation. Staff is very helpful and easy to work with (Miguel is amazing!). Facility is clean (all metal units, no fear of bedbugs), well lit, and plenty of carts/ladders on wheels to access your stuff. The location is on Coney Island Ave, parking can be hit or miss there, but they also have a loading dock on E. 8th and additional street parking back there. It's always been a breeze moving my stuff in and out of there. read more

It is strange to say I have a favorite storage unit, but I love this place. The location is great, prices are fair, and Miguel is such a friendly guy. Access between 10-7 is better than some other storages, with the option to purchase 24 access if needed. I've used this place on two occasions, once in a 5x5 loft and another in a 5x8. Would recommend this to anyone in the neighborhood looking for more storage. read more

I used Groupon for a 4x5 loft space, and decided to extend my stay, at a reasonable monthly rate. Not only were the front desk people helpful and readily available, but all the other renters I crossed paths with were friendly as well, perhaps a sign of satisfactory customer service and clean facility. My only suggestions are to put hooks in the bathroom and to sell energy bars or chocolate at the front desk. Also, Groupon advertised free bike storage, but there's actually a monthly fee. Storage unit are kind of necessary evil. The most you can hope for is that they are not ever a problem. This place is off to a great start the staff is friendly and helpful. Park Circle Storage is new, bright, clean, modern, air-conditioned facility and has easy automated access. The bicycle storage is a great option, an air compressor or air pump and maybe some basic bike tools would be a bonus. read more
