I waited 2 years to make this review because I didn't want the prices to go up based on demand since this is THE BEST place to use as a Storage and parking place. Now, that I was able to clear all my junk, I gave up my space and here it goes. The storage areas are great. My storage room was like a hidden compartment all the way in the back, I had to go thru a few doors to get to it, it can also be confusing to find because the hallways are repetitive with the same style look, I think it was funny...lol Very secure place..lol. I didn't need that much security but hey, it was good....lol They have parking spaces for Vehicles which are great and are a rrrrrrealy great price compared to Parking spot rentals in Brooklyn. I was paying a really good price and it was a set steady price with video surveillance 24/7 and if you think it can't be better than that, guess what? It is !!!! Because in the back of the building there is an NYPD fleet base full of police cars which I really don't know what they do at that location but just so you know, there are cops and detectives in and out 24/7. So, let's say, this is the top most secure Storage place in Brooklyn. Customer service was ALWAYS excellent. Jessica is a sweetheart. read more

I had carefully detailed several exasperating--sometimes infuriating--visits to my unit at Ridgewood. Today, that review seems to have evaporated into the cyber-ether. I finished moving my last few items today and went to the office to inform the man in the office that it was my last day and that I cleaned out the room. He then handed me a paper indicating I had no more balance. So I said, I was already paid for the whole month in advance and was expecting to be paid back a pro-rated refund. But he said, I wasn't getting any refund! So I said, then I will just use my room till the end of the month. But he cancelled my access and I could not get back to my floor without an access code! I have been telling the front office people about my plan to either get a bigger room or transfer my stuff to another place, but NO ONE ever mentioned that I cannot get my money back pro-rated or I could have cancelled at the end of last month. read more

This place is incredible! "How can they be? It's just storage," you say? Well, you'll be pleasantly surprised. This place may even be nicer than where you live... We've been using the Storage Post for 2 years and tell everyone we know that they shouldn't look anywhere else for storage. Their premises are beautifully maintained and safe, and their prices are the best in the city. There are plenty of carts for moving your things, and you never have to wait to use the loading dock, which is indoors and out of the elements. How great is that?! Any friends who've come by our storage unit always say they can't believe how great the facility is, and that the Storage Post puts all other places to shame. From the first day, the management has been extremely professional and friendly, and will go out of their way to help in any way they can. You don't expect to find a place like this in NYC where one dingy place blends into the next. They do not blend, but are actually outstanding. May be worth a visit even if you don't need storage right now, because once you do need storage it's always a scramble and often regrettable when you just choose a place at random. They're so overzealous about trying to collect late fees--literally the moment payment is due--and calling, emailing, and texting about the late fees they're eager to impose that I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the NY State Attorney General for harassment. read more

They wouldn't let me access the elevator or my unit after I paid them for the month! I informed them I will then be moving by the 1st of the following month and to please no longer charge me and they told me I have to come BEFORE on the 29th to get my stuff. DO NOT USE STORAGE POST RIDGEWOOD'S FACILITIES. The building is infested with rats, who were kind enough to visit my locked unit and destroy a number of my belongings. The staff were spectacularly dismissive and unhelpful, and the so-called "report" that was filed has yielded zero results - or even a phone call back. HORRENDOUS customer service and facility. I choose this facility because they had a ground floor unit with easy access. Two months later they tell me they are going to do construction and I needed to move my stuff out asap. After many calls and emails with employees who were not helpful, I spoke to the district manager Mohammed who told me he would reimburse me due to the inconvenience. Well I moved out about 3 weeks ago and not only was there no refund, they actually charged me another month's rent! On top of that another tenant told me the place is infested with BED BUGS. So google some options for storage companies and stopped by to few locations, and when I stop by to view storage post in Ridgewood, NY I was treated with a lot of respect and felt like home. Gino at the Desk and Miranda explained to me all my Options, showed me all different storage sizes. We decided to use this Facility and we are so glad that we choose that. Very Comfortable Location, Easy Access, Big Elevators and Excellent customer service by Gino and Miranda. I highly recommend this storage facility! The staff, especially Jessica, is ridiculously nice and professional. There were only 2 spaces left (we put a deposit down on one), but there was a physical plant issue with the space and she helped figure out what could be done. She actually personally cleaned the room for us! Carlos was also excellent and super helpful (he helped us unload the truck since he needed to get to another pickup). The facility is clean and seems fairly safe and protected w/ security and keypad entries for each floor. I've had a unit at this facility for a few months now and can't say enough about the customer service. In addition to picking up my items for free, the first month of storage was also on the house. This storage facility is great - reasonable prices and very clean. I would definitely recommend this place on that basis. Just be careful - make sure that the room they show you is the one you get. I put a small deposit down thinking I reserved a room close to the elevator but was told that I had just reserved the room size but not the actual room so wound up with a room further from the elevator which made my moves take longer and consequently cost me more money. However, compared to the competition, they are still the best for storage needs in the NYC area. read more

This place is the worst!!! I can't wait to the day I can move my stuff. My unit went up in price $50 overnight. I went online on Friday night to pay my bill ..balance zero. Sunday the woman calls me to tell me my bill is due. I go online to pay on Sunday and it tells me there is an overlock! For being 3 hours late in paying??? If it wouldn't cost me more money to move to another facility I would move to another place. Actually I would tell no one to store here. read more
