Friendly, honest, straightforward service. Carla, Monica, Viviana, and Guru -- they were so helpful and professional throughout. I was genuinely surprised and pleased! read more

The employees here are great. I've known Guru and Daniel for years. The younger lady Mohini and the other younger gentleman (I cannot remember his name) are also very great employees. They are always helpful and kind, professional and patient. They are clearly doing their best in what is a demanding environment. Unfortunately, I witnessed management speaking to them in a disrespectful and discouraging manner, including comments implying that employees were easily replaceable. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected poorly on leadership. A strong team deserves to be treated with the same level of professionalism and respect that they give to customers every day. read more

I had never used a storage facility before but everything here went very smoothly. From setting up my move-in, daily check-ins and final move-out. Great hours and excellent location. Daniel is very accommodating. The one thing which would have been nice is a pallet jack/fork lift and ability to put my items on a pallet when moving out. But I understand this is a self-storage, so they do not have those tools. 5 stars read more

Get the deals. It's worth it when you get in on the promos. Also talk to Daniel the guy in the front. He's super helpful.

I found Greenpoint Storage after a friend recommended it to me. Very happy ever since. Prices are very reasonable, everyone is super nice and easy to communicate with, and the facility is really nice in comparison to others that I've used in the past. All In all, highly recommend! Thanks a bunch! read more

Great experience here with the staff and team when I needed a last minute storage for some heirlooms I was moving. Great price and most importantly it's a nice well kept facility. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some extra storage. read more

Had a few items to store while moving and found this great spot in Greenpoint. Fair prices and exceptional service. They also have a good COVID policy in place. read more

their insurance is bullshit and only covers "flood, fire wind" (specifically floods "not leaks or general water damage": asked to see a copy of the policy or a phone number to call and was denied on both counts. claimed i moved in with the stuff in that condition like having my bed covered in an obvious brown water leak and broken plaster or casting or whatever it's called having apparently magic'ed itself on top of my chicken wire covered unit. so ghetto read more

Great staff and elevator. That being said ... they moved the light fixture from over my space so I have to use a flash light, there is only a cage over the space so no dust or moisture protection, and the doors are not the full width of the unit. What most informs this review is that since they went under the UHaul brand they have raised the, already overpriced, rent dramatically twice without any improvements. read more

I have my work storage unit here. The staff is amazing and they always give me compliments and make me laugh. They turn a bad day into a good day, and they always lend me a hand when I need one. The maintenance guy is super nice and always opens doors for me. For the people who don't pay the extra few dollars a month for insurance, I'm sorry if your stuff got ruined. It's an old building and things happen- that's why there is insurance. It's also VERY affordable for what you get. It's a warehouse like storage unit, so in extreme weather conditions there were a few small leaks (which someone else was referring to in another review) but all my stuff is safe and I have a lot of trust in these guys. Things can happen at any storage unit, so it's always safe to pay for insurance. I recommend this place to anyone who wants an affordable spot to store their stuff with a stellar, trustworthy staff that greets you with a smile every time. read more

First, the customer service here is excellent. The office staff is courteous and helpful, and the movers who operate the trucks and freight elevator did not hesitate for a moment to help me move some of my heavier items, both when I moved in and out. I had a hard time choosing a place initially because so many reviews of these facilities on Yelp are filled with absolute horror stories, but I am happy to say that I absolutely recommend this company. My unit was clean and my stuff exactly how I left it after 6 months. The contract was straightforward and you do not have to notify them 30 days in advance that you are planning to remove your stuff, as you have to do with some other places and end up having to pay an extra month's rent. You can show up, get all of your stuff out and end your contract the same day. The price was reasonable and the hours convenient, and the whole experience was about as low stress as this type of thing can be. Definitely support these guys. read more

Ive been storing here for years. Yer not a true NYer until you have a storage unit (so the urban proverb goes). Guru and the crew here are great. The building has had a bunch of work done in the last 5 years which has helped in every way. Large drive in loading dock/garage (perfect for u-hauls) passenger and cargo elevator and lots of heavy duty cargo carts. 8am-8pm hours are great. I wish they were open 24 hours, but that would be a lot more expensive. read more

Check out my review on Google Maps, reviews on this site are not current. I give this business a "five star" recommendation. Facility is clean, well lit ... up and down to the elevators. The staff is courteous and helpful. read more

I was recommended this storage facility by the moving company in charge of my move. The staff in this facility made my day. They welcomed me right away and even offered me drinks while I waited for the movers to unload my items. I was nervous about storing my items because I have never used storage before and this was my first time. I'll confess: I've heard some horror stories. But this facility was very well maintained. I was impressed by how clean it was. I can't say I'm not happy with this facility. Even their prices seemed really fair compared to prices I was quoted elsewhere. read more

AMAZING- I ran frantically away from another horrible storage unit and was welcomed by Theo who showed me the amazingly well kept and climate controlled space. Everything is brand new and fresh. He set me up with a free truck and two guys the next day who picked up my stuff and were fast, eager, and so skilled. They even brought my oversized piece that I thought I'd have to figure out how to bring some other way. A man called Guru brought us up in their incredible freight elevator that is the size of a truck and opens right to the street. We brought everything up in one shot! Finally Jacob helped me with all the paperwork and sent me on my way with a cold bottle of water. Honestly I never write reviews but I couldn't believe moving was so easy. Big thumbs up. read more

Customer service of staff is great. Jake was particularly helpful in recommending stores in the area

I've lived in this neighborhood for a decade and have been storing here for years. While the storage and moving industry is loaded with shady characters, these guys are not only honest, but friendly. read more

Do not store anything of value in this facility unless you get or have insurance. Otherwise your stuff will get wet, molded and ruined from ongoing leaks they have in this facility. My king and queen size mattresses (which were wrapped) and tv stand were ruined due to water leaks (which I have pictures of). They didn't have a dumpster to dispose of unwanted items nor where they helpful in finding a place to dispose these items. They were rude and just wanted everything out of the unit. So I had to scramble to try to find somewhere else to dump them. On top of that they were really rude to my movers. I've stored items in other facilities and have never had these issues. So please think again! read more

This place is wonderful! Feels very safe and is super clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful...they go above and beyond to assist you in any way possible. They even remember which floor your storage is on without having to remind them! This is the only storage place in Brooklyn I will go! read more

Greenpoint Storage Plus is an awesome Storage facility. It's super clean, organized, and moving in and out is seamless. Great staff- especially Jacob and Stephanie! I highly recommend them and will use them again if I ever need! read more

You can't get to your storage space outside of business hours (M-Sat until 6pm and Sun until 4pm), and even then you're subject to a completely inefficient, time-consuming system just to get upstairs: 1. Hope the sign-in office is even open 2. If it is, then be "greeted" by aloof staff; sign in 3. Wait for someone to take you on the elevator (apparently you can't operate a simple freight elevator yourself) 4. Go mess with your stuff 5. Try to get back downstairs... Good luck. (I'm supposed to use this phone? That no one answers? Hope you are the only person trying to get to storage today, cos otherwise you're not getting outta here.) I have waited 25 minutes before. If I hadn't had stuff to bring down, I would've just taken the "locked! do not enter!" stairs, as I've had to do before. Worst customer service ever, every step of the way. I could go on, but you get the point. read more

I've been a customer for years and while I've never had any issues with them today was a great day. It wasn't that I am super preggo because I had three other strong gentlemen with me moving stuff. But Jacob went above and beyond his responsibilities to assist in getting the boxes in storage and removing the sofa I had there. Absolutely a great addition to the staff. Great pick guys!!! I can't thank him enough read more

I'm a bit late on this, but I absolutely need to give a shoutout to Dwayne and Gerald (or was it Gerard?) who helped me out with my move to DC in a more helpful way than I could imagine. First off, I asked many storage units for quotes, and this is easily the cheapest I found. It's clean too! But the two aforementioned employees made my experience with Greenpoint Storage Plus one to remember. First, they helped load my car in quick, expert fashion. Then, they spent almost two hours securing a mattress and boxspring to the roof of my car, a feat which would've been impossible to do on my own. They rose above the call of duty, and I could not be more thankful. I HIGHLY recommend this unit. read more

I basically lived at Storage Plus Greenpoint for a week sorting out my storage and it was like a second home. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant that I was actually sad to move my belongings out. It was my first experience with a storage unit so I had no idea what to expect but it was all so easy from start to finish and cost effective. They even give you a truck to move in. Amazing! My belongings came out the same way they went in, no dust or damage. It's nice that you can be treated well and stay warm with as many cups of coffee as you like while going through the not so pleasant task of moving. I truly recommend this location. Thank you guys for keeping me company and helping me through my giant clean out. Much love to you! read more

This is the second time I've been here and had help from a gentleman named 'Guru.' This name suits him well for the simple fact that he is a master of the moving and storage business. Guru helped without any reservations, acting as if it was all his own possession. He took care of every piece and never ran out of energy until we were finished, the level of excellence he brings to Storage Plus is par none. It would've taken twice the time had he not offered to help. Moving is very stressful (especially in NY) and we had encountered many curveballs and unexpected challenges through the process. The friendliness and positive attitude from Guru made the whole thing a breeze. This place is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone in need of a storage place. read more

Let me tell you about the most amazing storage place around. They are so close to Manhattan and so convenient if you live in BK or QUEENS.... these ladies and the two men on staff are so friendly ..... so efficient and so helpful. I called them at 645 one night because my other storage unit screwed me over badly ... they told me to get there as fast as I could with my uhaul full of my things .... the two men helped me move because they felt so bad for what just happened with my other storage place ... I 100 percent recommend this place to everyone. No hidden fees.... just amazing service and great hospitality !!!! read more

I never leave reviews, but what started as a sh*tty situation finding myself in desperate need of a quick and easy storage solution, turned into a great experience. They even added a little philosophy and life advise. Honestly a pleasant experience with good people. I left the place a little lighter of possessions and happy to leave my belongings in the hand of Greenpoint Storage. Thanks! read more

The worst storage experience I've ever had, these greedy losers would put you on a air meter and charge for breathing in there if they could. From the English challenged staff to garbage strewn poorly lighted dingy floors, in less then a month I was out of there.. The kicker was when I told them I couldn't find the key to the lock on my compartment, they charged me $15.00 to clip the lock...that's what you call a dirt bag. read more

It's kind of hard to get all of my stuff on the carts because the carts move all of that well and you have to wait for the guys to take you up to the floor that your stuff is on... HOWEVER the staff is so helpful and friendly they totally make up for that. The guys have helped me put my stuff into my car multiple times. They're awesome. Also, I price-checked a few other places and this was the cheapest. So I definitely recommend it! read more

I don't understand these 5 star reviews. The warehouse is packed with giant plywood crates, no climate control, and when I called to see what they had, they gave me lower prices than what was actually available once I got there. read more

I've used this storage company for over 5 years, they are fantastic!! My storage unit was always dry, bug free, clean and safe as the rest of the building has always been, the staff is wonderful, Guru's always there to take care of your needs, he's one of the friendliest, most helpful and trustworthy person i've met, they always got back to me quickly when I called and/or emailed them with a question. My overall experience grants them a well deserved 5 stars, they operate a great and honest business, I highly recommend them! read more

In an area with overpriced storage facilities, Greenpoint Storage is a breath of fresh, climate-controlled air. The warehouse may not be the prettiest but the storage units are damp-free, safe and inexpensive. I've moved out of state but was lucky enough to be a customer for three years. One of the best things is the ever-helpful staff. All are incredible professionals and I would like to give an extra shout out to Guru who makes life as easy as possible getting your things from your truck to your lock-up , come rain or shine.
