However, after meeting with Cisco he made me feel better about storing my belongings and made sure I had a location within the facility that made me feel safe as well. That's crazy I've been renting a unit here For Over a year started at 150 then with out any notice raise it to almost 300 then i told them and they pretended they had no idea why it was raised double the amount they negotiated to 215-220 and now I'm seeing they raised it back to almost 300 what's wrong with you guys!! I've been storing my boat here for almost 10+ years and have never had any complaints. It works well for us as it is on our way to the river. I will now be storing my camping trailer here s well. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Especially Debbie, she has been there through 3 or 4 business name changes and always made us feel like family. Tried to reserve online, it took a number of attempts because their website is quite glitchy after a couple of days I was finally able to do it. No customer support. No one answers chat and when I call the location you get an answering service that can't help you. They charge my card and sent me all the information for a reservation but they can't find my reservation in the system and say it doesn't exist. Overall, I would have to say storage space is basically a commodity, so the difference is sort of the quality of the facility and the quality of the service. In this case there basically is no service so I would just avoid it. Note: In a Google review the manager commented that I tried to purchase but it didn't go through, which is false, so I have attached a screen shot of my purchase receipt. I don't think they are lying, just their system is messed up. Again, avoid. Also: Check their BBB rating, 1 star. I attached a screen shot. read more

Staff & accessibility are totally fine and respectable, no issue there. Pretty much only reason I picked this place is they were easy to work with face to face. The cost however is concerning...I have only had a unit for a couple months and my dues are going up almost $100 dollars! I find this extremely alarming that within just 2 months, Extra Space is up charging me in such a drastic amount. Most likely will be finding somewhere else to go now. I've heard peoples rates go up every 6 months and maybe by $20 here and there but almost $100 dollars seems stingy and sketchy. Pretty frustrated with this companies hidden agendas. read more

I rarely write reviews, but people thinking about renting here deserve to know the truth about this place. Not long after we rented and put our stuff into our 5 x 10 unit, it was broken into and some very sentimental items were stolen. They have no cameras and basically the lady said it happens all the time and there is nothing they can do about it. Also, the rent started at a reasonable rate, but went up each year. This last year it went from $85 to $125 per month a 32% increase. If you rent here, good luck. read more

I have been renting storage at Extra Space in Beaumont for more than 20 years. It always has been a good experience, managers helpful. Today Christine helped me with a particular situation, and she was excellent. Answered the phone right away, reviewed my issue, found a solution and promised to call me back when it was finalized. I expected that would be tomorrow. A reasonable time frame. She called me back this afternoon, and all is resolved much to my satisfaction. This review is a follow-up to my last review back in 2018. We had all our items stolen from our storage locker!!! The thief was smart as he/she cut the lock but left it on the storage unit. The storage facility notified us in early January 2019 when they discovered the cut lock. However, since the facility manager discovered this quite by accident, we had no way of knowing when the thief cut the lock and stole our possessions taken. It could have been over weeks, months, or even years. We had not visited our storage unit for about three years. We wrongfully believe we had stored our belongings at a secure facility and didn't need to worry. Boy, were we wrong. After the theft was discovered and reported to the police, we learned from the officer who investigated the theft that this type of theft is quite common. We also found out that seldom are the thieves caught due to a lack of physical evidence (fingerprints were not found) and a lack of adequate security at the facility. We thought the storage facility would also help try to identify the thief. Again, we were wrong. It turns out they do not have the security they claim to have. They only had a single working video camera at the front entrance gate and did not have any video recordings of the building exteriors, entrances, hallways, or interiors. They refused to help us try to identify the people who stole all our belongings (was this an inside job?). Believe it or not, the only way they would help us is if we got a court order requiring them to turn over their recorded video. Since we could not determine when the lock was cut (no monitoring of the interior hallways) and the facility only retains the front gate video for about two months, it would have made no sense to obtain a court order. By the time we got the order, the video would no longer be available since they only keep it for a couple of months. If you ask why I am writing this review now when the theft took place in January 2019, I am upset over this entire ordeal. We finally settled with our insurance company (fortunately, we had insured the unit), and we are out over 19K of the value of the stolen items. I strongly suggest you use a storage facility that takes security seriously and avoid this facility. You might save a few bucks here in the short term, but you will get reamed in the long term. read more

I am letting everyone I know by word of mouth to never put their stuff in Extra Space storage. Christine the manager was awful and lacked humanitarian skills. What goes around comes back around and karma is not so nice. I hope Extra Space Storage goes out of business and I hope Christine loses her job. Christine treats people like numbers instead of people what goes around come back around. People are struggling and might not be able to pay right away but I called and when I called I should be able to talk to whoever picks up and let them know my situation I need more time. I am calling out the state. Christine works alone and has no team which creates bad communication when she goes to lunch. Instead of having to talk to only one person at a certain time to avoid these things you need strong communication by having a team on site. Having a team helps with strong communication. Every other storage has this system set up except you guys. I am still shocked this happened to me. I am so loss for words I feel like I was treated like a number instead of a person. I just cannot believe my stuff was sold. I am so hurt I have some items at another storage unit and they treat me like a person instead of a number and have not sold my stuff. So hurt. I do not feel I got the best customer service. I am so emotional and shocked I got news my stuff was sold with no notice. I do not recommend anyone to go here. Reserving online is quite glitchy. It took me three tries over two days to get it done then I got verification and my card was charged but when I called they had no record of my reservation. Also, I should say the customer service is not very good they have an online chat system, but nobody ever answers it and when you call the actual location, you just get an answering service that isn't really helpful all they could tell me is that my reservation didn't exist read more
