    Great Wine

Let's start with the vibe of the restaurant - this place is pink and funky and fun. It has those old school lights like Pizza Hut - but iridescent and pink. The food was next level. This is my favorite pizza in Buffalo. We ordered two different types of pizza - one on the Sicilian crust (which was thicker, yet light and airy) and one on the original crust (which was similar to thin New York style). The red sauce was sweet and fresh. We devoured both pizzas and left no stragglers. We also got two bottles of wine. The wine menu is actually a small novel, and the descriptions make picking a bottle super fun. We couldn't decide and asked our waitress for a suggestion - she knew so much about the wines and was able to make a recommendation that would go well with our pizza. It was fantastic. We got two appetizers, two pizzas, two bottles of wine, and 4 ice creams - and the bill was only $200. The amount of food, with the quality of the meal, with the excellence of the waitress made me feel this meal was such a reasonable price. The tip was already included with the total price as Extra Extra is cooperatively owned and focuses on creating an equitable space for its employees and guests. SO COOL. I kept asking - "Am I in heaven?" And the answer is no - you're in Extra Extra. I promise I will be back.

Popped in for their one year anniversary where they were offering up dollar slices and I got the New York style and it was solid. Definitely looking forward to visiting again to check out some of their cocktails. I really like their business model and that they are a tip-less establishment because of their practices in paying their employees which is cool.

Excellent vegan NY style pizza at a worker owned joint on the West Side - what's not to love? Vegan cheese is a $5 upcharge. The pizza was very thing and delicious, perfect bubbly crust. Ordered online and it said it'd be ready in 30 - got the text alert at the exact time it predicted. The inside is adorable and they seem to have a fair number of wines on display. There are slices available but I didn't look to see if they were vegan. There's only about two pies so I'm guessing not.

Pizza is some of my favorite in buffalo! People are awesome, ingredients are fresh and tasty. Everyone should try extra extra, and then try it again! Sicilian pizza is da bomb. And so is their thin crust NY-style!

Scicilian pie- white sauce- pesto, lemon, ricotta. Delicioussssss dough. Light and fluffy with a great bite.

I ordered takeout online and arrived early. Asked to have a drink at their bar while I waited and they were very accommodating and friendly. Quick attentive service and recommendations. They kept a close eye on my order and looped me in on the status and if I'd have time for another drink. The atmosphere was cool. Laid back and open. Lots of friends and people on dates. Food was delicious and as someone that is a big NYC pizza fan, this fills a hole in my heart for not just thin crust, but QUALITY. You can taste the difference.

Unfortunately this GF pizza was just not it. The ratio of toppings to dough was not right. Quite disappointed. If you want a good comparable GF pizza - marble and rye is a good one to go off of! Happy to try extra extra again if they can improve. Gf dough was good.

Extra Extra is tasty tasty. Heard many a rumor about how this new spot in the Five Points neighborhood is *the* place to get a NY-style pizza, and my boyfriend and I finally decided to give it a go. We got a medium sized pizza to takeout -- half pepperoni, half with onions, mushrooms, and olives. The portion size was perfect for us, six slices in total! Boy did we love it! The pizza was so thin, yet so crisp and flavorful. The pepperoni they use is amazing, and their blue cheese dressing might be my new favorite in Buffalo. My boyfriend enjoyed his share of the pie, but wished they were a little more heavy-handed with the olives. This will be pricier than your average pizza, but that's because they bake the cost of paying their staff a fair wage into their menu prices. And that's a cause I'm always down with supporting. I will absolutely be back. So many topping combinations yet to explore and they look like they've got some killer appetizers too.

Garlic and ricotta Sicilian pizza with red sauce. Smells amazing and definitely garlic present!

Naked City Pizza - 3 cheese steak

I'm always on the lookout, keeping my ear to the ground, for great pizza places in Buffalo…read more Although sometimes, I just want to try some place new. I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

Wow. Hands down some of the best pizza we've had…read more We ordered the San Felice Pizza -- San Marzano tomatoes, house-made sausage, sweet and spicy peppers, onion, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil -- and it was absolute perfection. The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. This truly is a slice of heaven.

I'm a member of their rewards program and once in a while, they'll send me a coupon for $5 off, or a certain percentage off of my next order. So, when I get one of these rewards, I make sure to take advantage and order a pie! Shoutout to the staff as they're always friendly and courteous. I need to praise how open and honest they are, which was put on full display with a recent order. One Pie Pizza Co. bakes a truly authentic Buffalo-style pizza with an airy, doughy undercarriage, a balanced chewy, crispy crusty, plenty of mozzarella cheese and sweet red sauce with cup-n-char pepperoni, but I like my dough, the undercarriage, to be a bit more cooked, firm, crispy, so I've been requesting "extra crispy on the bottom/underneath" more recently. But the way One Pie Pizza Co. cooks their pizzas makes that request a little more difficult as they use a conveyor belt process, so when ordering online there are two "Special Instructions" options: LIGHT WELL DONE and WELL DONE (Dark, crispy crust with charred edges). I've been trying to figure out which of these options would offer the more firm, crispier dough I want, so I ended up talking to some of the staff working there and explained my conundrum. They were wonderful in hearing me out and suggesting how I should place my order to get what I am looking for. So, what's the way to get the dough more firm, crispy underneath? Order your pizza LIGHT WELL DONE and ask if they could put your pizza on top of the oven for 10 minutes before they put it into the oven to cook it! The dough might raise up a bit more, but it should help pre-heat, cook the dough a little bit more. Of course, nothing wrong with adding a note asking for extra crispy on the bottom, underneath. I've ordered a few times in 2026 and each time my order has been a QTR Sheet (six slice) cheese, pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers, and ricotta cheese pizza, LIGHT WELL DONE cook/extra crispy on the bottom, underneath. This is an excellent pizza, with tons of toppings on each slice and plenty of ricotta cheese ladled on top. Drizzle a little hot honey to add a little sweet kick. This pizza never fails to leave me happy and full. I will say, their pizza might be on the pricier end in Buffalo, but it's worth it. One Pie Pizza Co. certainly earned, and deserves its high marks and regards within the Buffalo pizza community! I'm glad to keep them in my list of go-to Buffalo pizza shops.
