Dropped by for a bite while passing through the area. They DO have the best calamari in the area, though it was a very tiny helping. I should've ordered two instead, it's so good, but still nothing/nada when compared to the chocos and calamari in southern Spain! Ordered a pasta dish and asked if I could get chicken added to it, which they did and it was good and tasty. Because of a change in diet for health reasons, it's so good to see how some eateries will adapt to the clients' requests. There aren't too many places where I can eat these days and have an item on the menu changed due to health and lifestyle changes. With all the red meat and other items on so many menus these days, bad for the diet and especially for older males, I'm surprised why more people aren't dying younger. Wow! I love the pizza here. I came here for the first time and I fell in love! The pizza dough tastes homemade. I've o my had pizza like this at home and now that I know I don't have to make it.... The group also had an antipasto which was so-so... I'd prefer the meat and everything to be chopped so it can be easily mixed together so every bite has everything. The bbq sauce that was on the chicken fingers was delicious! The taste had a great tang and slight fruit taste that made for great flavor. I'd love to try that sauce on some wings! The place was nice and we were in a separate dining area as we had a large party. Several orders went out as people were constantly picking up food to take home. The service was okay. We had to ask for additional plates for our pizza after having the antipasto and fingers. An hour before closing they began running the vacuum which gave us a hint it was time to go... The food was great but service here leaves a lot to be desired. We enjoyed the food and all but significant room for improvement. Tables around us (only 2) were checked on every 2-3 min. Someone checked in with us every 15-20 minutes. Even when we tried to wave, they seemed to avoid eye contact intentionally. Took me 20 minutes to get a drink refill as well. Don't order anything nice or spicy here. They make you suffer seriously. I don't plan to return. I may do pickup but that's it. Had to wait a while to get seated and then for the server to come over. The menu is exactly what you'd expect, bar type appetizers, wings, pizza, subs, pasta. We werent super hungry so we shared a banana pepper and sausage calzone and 10 medium wings. I'm not the biggest fan of calzones, I thought it was just fine. All around great pizza. I've ate in the restaurant a few times even though I have been getting pizza occasionally from Buzzys for my whole life. Nice place to eat in or take out from. They have a lot of flavored pizzas that are exceptional (I especially like the Mediterranean), but the best thing they have without a doubt is BBQ chicken fingers. Called and ordered a sub to go. The girl on the phone was very pleasant. She read the order back and it was correct. Half a ham sub, Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, light mayo and just a few banana pepper rings. Like 3 or 4 please. I picked it up ( It's a 10 minute drive from work). Only to find this sandwich. Exactly the opposite of what I ordered. Ham, mayo and a bunch of banana peppers. I called and spoke to the manager, he said he was sorry and would remake the sub. I don't have time to leave work again, to go get my dinner, so he hesitantly offered me a credit. I didn't feel he was genuinely sorry. Personally I feel they should deliver it. I placed an online order ( almost $200.00 order) to have delivered . Decided to try Buzzys because we haven't had them in about 20 years and everyone used to like their food. when we received our delivery and got all of food opened up we realized we had a wrong pizza and that we didn't order ( had hot peppers) and we were missing a large regular pizza, garlic bread, 30 wings, and extra blue cheese/sauces that we paid extra for,I called to let them know , and I was passed on to 3 different people and they were very confused and said they had no idea where 30 wings could of went because the driver only did one delivery to us. They said they still had the garlic bread there that the driver didn't take that. Long story short- they were not overly nice about their mistake ( I know things happen but good customer service is very important. ) after being on the phone for 10 minutes of total confusion, they said they would get the item out as soon as they could. When the driver came back about 30 minutes later - he asked me for the "wrong pizza" they gave us by mistake to GIVE IT BACK ! I said no because it was almost gone because people were hungry and they ate it while waiting for the rest of the food To get there. That really topped the cake! why would they even ask for it back? that's crazy , Yikes. After all that , the chicken wings were horrible and one of the pizzas were burnt and the garlic bread was very cold. If they would have been more sympathetic or had better customer service, I would have been more understanding and I would not be writing a bad review. The food was Ok. I'd give it a 5/10. The pizza crust was not homemade but the sauce topping had a nice flavor. The soup was OK so we added some cheese which helped. The only thing that happened that was disappointing was my spouse finished her meal and mine never came out. After asking, the server forgot to serve the other entree. Used to go to Buzzy's frequently years back when visiting a friend in the falls. Have always enjoyed their food. Pizza, fingers, subs calzones. Was recently in their area this weekend and remembered them. Split an assorted sub with my companion. I forgot how much I enjoyed their food. Loved the chopped onion & tomato mixed together in a oil dressing. Plus the thinly sliced meats added to the perfect texture. I was wishing I had the other half of that sub. Coincidentally found myself in the falls again the next day with another friend. I was still craving more of that assorted sub and suggested Buzzy's again. Again, my sub was delicious, as was her turkey/bacon sub. Definitely is somewhere I wish I got to more often. Although this review focuses on their subs, memories of many other choices, and judging on the amount of takeout orders, obviously nothing has changed. We noticed so many people walking out with 3 pizzas at a time, we actually looked at the menu for a 3-pizza deal. There was none. The wings were very good, but the pizza was sort of "school lunch room" esque. They have that classic wing sauce flavor (Franks and butter jug) which I really enjoyed. The Mediterranean salad was heavy with feta, garbanzo beans, olives, and peperocini - but I found it a bit pricey anyway, for having no meat. It's a great family friendly place. Our server was sweet and friendly and attentive. Hubbie had a specialty pineapple and I had a mini pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. New York is our 26th state since 7/4/2024. We have had pizza around the country and the ONLY pizza as good is in Chicago. I know it's different but these 2 places were the best. We do not care for thin crust. Buzzy's crust is the best. Plenty of toppings and so flavorful. We both left with 1/2 a pizza and their incredible cheesecake with caramel and raspberry toppings. We found this pizza place while staying in Niagara Falls. Open till 10pm and we had just got off the Maid of the mist late time tour. It was not busy for a Sunday night and we had hot fresh cooked pizza and wings. I didn't get a photo of the wings but they were just like the Authentic Anchors bar in Buffalo. The food is delicious and extraordinary The Apple Pecan Salad was invigorating and the Mediterranean Pizza is an explosive cheese treat taste experience. And last and certainly not the least, the Buffalo Wings is what crunchy in the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside would taste like. My friends were super kind and ordered some takeout for me from Buzzy's so that's how I got to try the food. Take note that this review leaves the customer service aspect out of it as I didn't order or pickup, but purely based on taste. The pizza: definitely one of the better pies. Not greasy, a great crust and a super delicious sauce that is not too sweet and just perfectly seasoned. The mushroom pizza seemed a bit on the smaller side. The wings I would prob skip the hot wings. I tried both a mix of hot and naked wings. The hot wings were a bit overly saucy and not crispy enough, but definitely a good amount of heat. I don't mind the abundance of sauce on wings, but only if they are able to retain the crisp of the wings which wasn't the case in this instance. We also ordered a few pieces of cheesecake for dessert. At $4 a slice, it's pricey and I'd probably skip those next time. They were tasty, but nothing that you couldn't purchase at Restaurant Depot yourself. I don't think they were baked in house.
