We got lucky. As part of a whole house remodel, we elected to have Haynes Cabinetry change out our…read morekitchen and bathroom cabinetry. We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. We cannot recommend Haynes too much.

I received a text message on the day of that was ambiguous about the time, so I called and verified that our appointment was at 1pm because we had another appointment to get to at 2:30. The person I spoke with confirmed that our estimator, Jose, would indeed be there between 1:00 and 1:15 pm as he would be coming straight from lunch and not another appointment. At 1:45 p.m., Jose was a no-call, no-show. Very disappointing. We will not be rescheduling. I would not recommend working with a firm that does not respect a customer's time.

We hired Jereme and his team at builder boy to be the GC on our extensive remodel pictured below…read more We had him do most everything on job which included gutting the structure down to the studs, reconfiguring the floor plan, adding structural reinforcements to create an open floor plan, re-wiring and plumbing the 5 unit complex, insulating it, installing shear paneling, stucco from scratch, and all the finish work. His professionalism, communication, and timeliness was refreshing in this day and age. Considering the high demand for general contractors today and the price gouging going on due to the low supply we were ecstatic to be able to find a GC who was able to provide high-quality customer service and an exceptional finished product. Our family would like to thank Jereme and the builder boy family for all their hard work and dedication to the job. I know we kept changing plans, finishes, and pretty much everything on you guys constantly but you kept your cool and never complained. Thank you again and we look forward to using your services again in the future.

By calling first to set an appointment, I was met by Tony here, who agreed to work on a plywood…read moreproject that I've been planning and putting off for years. We got it all done in one intense work session. Tony is a can-do guy (as opposed to some other cabinet shops that got a sense of my small project and turned up their noses at my small budget). He bid it for time plus materials--actually only the labor, because I got the materials myself. But he made good on his estimate, and since I did part of the work, he even gave me a small discount (and I got covered in sawdust). Thanks, Tony et al. I'll be back. Recommended... 4

I write this with mixed emotions and somewhat of a heavy heart. Let's start off with the good…read more First off, workmanship is top notch. We ordered custom cabinets to replace those in our kitchen that were damaged from a pipe rupture under the house. No doubt that Tony has his $hit together when it comes to designing and building. The construction / craftsmanship was unparalleled to say the least. Also did everything to accommodate our schedule, especially since we were dealing with insurance reimbursement, (much of which, as of this writing, we have still yet to see). The cost was expectedly high, especially since he came highly recommended from a family member. I don't mind paying top dolla... That I can deal with... As long as you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, that was where the commitment to excellence ended. The issues arose shortly after the initial installation. Now I must preface this by saying the wifey has a fine eye and is a perfectionist, (hence, Moi, lol). So as we began to inspect, she and I, (mostly she tho), noticed lots of small imperfections. Thin spots in the finish, small dents in the doors, missing shelves etc. We brought these issues up, (even though some of them we could live as they were minute in nature). But, when you pay upwards of $10K for custom cabinetry in a relatively small kitchen, it's not too far out of the realm of expectations to get what you pay for, right? So, in a return visit from WCM to discuss and "rectify" the errors, I pointed out all the others "defects" we had not previously mentioned. Little things like nail holes in the crown molding that weren't finished, small gaps in between the crown molding and ceiling, light spots in the finish, etc. The response I got to those was "oh, that will require a painter to finish... I don't do that!!! Who did your crown molding on the ceiling"? And then, after telling him my drywall guy did the ceilings / crown molding on the recessed lighting, (and, while he handed me a caulking tube), I got a "you just need to fill it in and paint it" response!!! Really? I think I had that one figured out already... Personally, I, (we), thought that was part of what we paid for, right? Apparently it wasn't as he insisted I finish it and wanted final payment. Oh Hell to the NO!!! The last little kicker was the door handles. Seriously, we thought someone extremely visually challenged installed them!!! About 85% of them were installed uneven, crooked or both. Really? Even my old blind a$$ could see that... I mean how much does a level cost? Hell... I have a ton of them in my garage AND I know how to use them. It pained me to think that he felt that type of finishing and job closure was acceptable because he is a nice enough guy. Ultimately, we got tired of dealing with the BS and just wanted to move on... Heck, my granite guy, (see Seven Stones review), is coming in this week to finalize granite and backsplash so we can hopefully get back to some semblance of normalcy soon. HIS motto is "I just want you to be happy". Hear that? I just want you to be happy... So... I ultimately corrected nearly all of their mistakes myself. Me, finishing off the "mistakes", took about four hours max. But WCM did finish up the door that he messed up trying to fix onsite, and bring my missing shelves home where they belong. BTW... Now the cabinets look great!!! But I have to take a lot of that credit too... Like I said... Craftsmanship and construction of the cabinets themselves are definitely 5 star worthy, no doubt. But, the small attention to detail, (1 star), left me feeling like I had been screwed. Much like my cabinet doors and door handles.
