I hired Cabinet Refresh in late 2025 and again in early 2026 to: - paint and install new hardware on cabinetry - install new countertop - install new tile backsplash I was very pleased with their pricing, communication, and quality of service. There were lots of different folks required (each expert) at their own area for the above work, but I did feel like they each knew what the other was doing and I was kept up to date by either the owners or my service rep. I also like that they are a small business - I felt my project was important to them even though it was not the "biggest" (especially since I broke it into 2 phases for my own budget planning). POOR PLANNING, POOR EXECUTION We needed our kitchen cabinets resurfaced. This outfit was understaffed, showed poor planning, poor judgement, unprofessional job standards, and poor clean-up. The good news is they fixed all the problems ... well, mostly. The bad news is that there were just so many problems, causing endless delays. Staff was not available; planning was improvised and sloppy (requiring work to be redone again and again); work quality was indifferent. In the end I had to finish the clean-up, and I'm still fishing loose steel screws out of the cabinet shelves. Delays turned the promised 3-day job into 8 working days spread over two weeks, leaving us with no kitchen and a house mess for much longer than we planned. In the end, we got our kitchen cabinets resurfaced, and it looks fine. But what a frustrating, amateur road we travelled to get there. Cannot recommend this outfit. read more

I had a two kitchen cabinets missing in my kitchen as well as 5 pullouts and 5 new drawer boxes estimated from Cabinet Refresh.An estimate was sent with refinishing as well that I decided was not a good idea. I was ready to sign and order the 3 other items when they said sent me a higher plus $2000.00 estimate .They were the same items in the previous estimate.They decided to not do the cabinets if I did not want to comply with the higher dollar amount.Very unethical, dishonest ,unprofessional and bordering on bait and switch.This company has changed since they did a kitchen years ago and I do not recommend them because they are not transparent.They ruined my schedule and couldn't care less.One of the owners,Carole is impatient and very rude.She hangs up on clients.A horrible experience all around! read more

She was the only cabinetmaker willing to remove the Thermofoil wrapping, allowing me to salvage the doors rather than replacing them all. This saved me money and the work started within a week! I had a very disappointing experience with this company, mainly due to their customer service. When I called to schedule an appointment, the woman who handles scheduling was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her tone was dismissive, impatient, and honestly came across like she didn't want to be bothered at all. As a potential customer, that first interaction matters, and this one left a really bad impression. Instead of being helpful or polite, she spoke in a condescending way and made the whole process uncomfortable. If this is how they treat people just trying to schedule an appointment, I can only imagine how they handle issues later on. There are plenty of other companies out there that know how to treat customers with basic respect. I wouldn't recommend this one based on my experience. EDIT: I'm not surprised you "have no record" of me using your services, because I was never able to get that far. I called simply trying to schedule an estimate, and the woman who answered the phone was so rude, dismissive, and unprofessional that it completely stopped the process right there. I didn't confuse you with another business, and this wasn't posted in error. This review is based solely on that phone interaction. If this is how potential customers are treated before an estimate is even scheduled, then it speaks volumes about your customer service. I initially called this company with my project manager to inquire about the process for obtaining a cabinet quote--not pricing, not scheduling, just the process. The person I spoke with was immediately dismissive and said, "I don't even know where you are or your name," as if asking a general question was unreasonable. After that interaction, my project manager left a review about the experience, and the company responded saying they "don't have him in their database." Correct -- we never worked together. That's the entire point. We were trying to understand how to become a customer. The lack of professionalism, defensiveness, and basic customer service at the inquiry stage says a lot. If this is how potential clients are treated before any work is done, I can only imagine how issues would be handled after a contract is signed. This whole experience was good. After getting the quote and the appointment, I had to call their office to arrange access for the workers to the location. The lady picked up on a Saturday morning, and was quite helpful and got me in contact with the workers. I don't remember her name, but I wanted to thank her! Juan and Frankie did a great job today 8/30/2025 on repairing the water damage from prolonged doggie bowl splashing on our maple cabinetry! They tried a few methods of addressing the problem and weren't satisfied until il looked great! They gave me realistic views on what was possible, and the job they did completely resolved the discoloration on the wood. 10/10 would and will recommend to anyone who needs cabinetry, coloration renovation! They also gave tiny little touches to some edges that had slight water damage that were not a part of this initial quote, but just required a half a second of spray from their clearcoat that they already had set up for the main job, and that slight little touch of kindness prompted me to write this glowing review! We worked with them on a previous project as well two years ago, and that kitchen still looks stunning! Cabinet Refresh has exceeded my expectations!! Carol, Matt and Scott know exactly what they are doing. The system they have is totally streamlined. Their team (Alvaro and Luis) were professional, organized, clean, efficient and friendly. My kitchen was built by my grandfather in 1954. All original cabinets are very sturdy, but were soooo outdated with decades of clear varnish over orangey-yellowy wood. However, I was not ready to do a full remodel. I wanted to freshen up my kitchen and make it very functional until I am ready to blow out walls and redo countertops/backsplash, etc. My two favorite parts of the refresh were 1. the rebuild of the drawer boxes! What a dream to have drawers that glide effortlessly in and out. 2.The durability of the paint job on the cabinets. Their prep work is so extensive with striping the old varnish off and sanding/patching everything....meaning no peeling paint in the future. I struggled on deciding on either doing a complete kitchen and bathroom remodel or painting over of my 80's honey oak cabinets that I have throughout and are in good shape to simply update my home. I was skeptical, at first, in simply painting over my oak cabinets as I really didn't want the wood grain to show through the paint. I also wasn't looking forward to having to go through an expensive construction nightmare with refacing or replacing my cabinets. Re-staining wasn't an option as I wanted to go lighter if I was to go in that direction. After interviewing various painting contractors, I came across Cabinet Refresh. They specialize in painting (or "refresh") wood cabinetry and use a detailed and labor intensive process with high quality primer, paint and finish to minimize the grain bleed. I liked what I heard and decided on having Cabinet Refresh paint only my bathroom and family room cabinets. Pictures tell a thousand words, but needless to say, I am very pleased and ecstatic with Cabinet Refresh and the work they did on my cabinets. I cannot say enough of the quality of work and professionalism of their friendly crew that were assigned to my project. Robin was first and removed all the cabinet faces and doors to take to the shop to get painted off site. He also paper covered the areas where they had to paint the cabinet frames on site. Juan and George followed up the next day to plastic and paper cover the general area to spray paint the frames with primer and then the color that I had chosen. And when the doors and cabinet facings were completed, the installation team came and put everything back together again and with new hardware that I had provided. In the end, it truly looks like I got brand new high end cabinets. You can definitely see the grains on the cabinet areas that were painted on-site, but you barely can see any grains bleed through on the doors and cabinet facings that they did with more flexibility in the shop. Of course, I was able to pick any color I wanted for the cabinets which probably helped me love the look and feel of the finished product. Despite some communication failures and miscues, I do highly recommend Cabinet Refresh if you are considering an update to your cabinets and don't want to go through the hassle or expense of a full remodel. Cabinet Refresh is a bit more expensive than the average painting contractors, but they do deliver a high quality end product that you will be completely and surprisingly satisfied. read more

I highly recommend using Cabinet Refresh. They were a professional, responsive and efficient company to work with. We originally reached out to Cabinet Refresh to reface and paint our kitchen cabinets. Scott stopped by on a Saturday to evaluate and take measurements. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He even assisted in helping us evaluate designs and provided recommendations on design changes (adding a trash pullout, adding a drawer under the microwave, etc.). After this initial meeting, we expanded his scope to include all bathroom cabinets, hallway cabinets and the kitchen backsplash. His team was quick, professional and very clean. Everything was taped and protected with paper or plastic. There was no bleed over of any of the cabinet paint to the walls. They were communicative about schedule and very respectful of the house. Pros - They were fast in getting back to me. Cons - We have a large master bathroom (250 sq ft) and needed an L shape wall of cabinets for a double sink, drawers, and a make-up vanity. We were told that our project was too small and not worth 2 men coming out, 3 days of work, and a minimum budget of $3,800 . I had set a budget of $5,000 for cabinets. But I am guessing they don't do new cabinets... Take away - They don't do small projects. Update - Scott the owner did reach out, which I appreciate so I added a star for a total of 3 stars. I think the pictures less than a year after the remodel speak for themselves. Chipping everywhere. When quoting me they said it would last for 10-20 years taking into consideration the material my cabinets are made of (which was previously thermafoiled). I asked for a refund and was denied that. Any other attempts at remediation including touch ups clearly did not help. I asked for an explanation of why the paint chipped so badly and was told it might be my nails - which are in no way unusual and pretty sure something kitchen cabinets can generally withstand. read more

I renovated a small condo kitchen with Cabinet Refresh.I refaced my aged cabinet(paint, installed new doors, added 3cabinets ,countertop and back splash) . It was a big price tag than expected. Overall it was okay. Scott's staff was very clean / experienced. Communication was a problem. We didn't know whether or not worker is coming and when. It went a day by day. I had a hard time setting up other jobs, plumbing or electrical work between the cabinet and countertop. I had to point out small items ( gaps on doors, damaged) It was so stressful. Scott's assistant Matt saved me. He was responsible at least and texted me even after 6pm, said worker is coming next day. Quality of cabinet work: Painting job is excellent. Require retouching (small dabbing and drippings are common). Lined up old and new cabinet nicely. Quality of counter top/ back splash work: Cabinet doors were installed before stone work so all newly painted cabinets were covered full of stone dust. Backsplash was 2" shorter, not straight and I noticed damaged countertop ( chipped and filled ) was installed a week after. Time line: It took 3wks to finalize. Never gotten schedule in advance. A big delay was stone guy's availability. I highly recommend people to read 3-4 star reviews. All comments are right. Scott is experienced on cabinets. His recommendations are great but I was having a hard time understanding his "standard " means. One door was too short to the frame, he said it was standard. The counter top needed to be half inch long, he said standard. I know he does Kitchen all the time, but we do once a while. The "standard "doesn't translate anything to customer-needed explain things in advance. I'm still waiting for my backsplash to fix....hoping it will happen soon. read more

This company was wonderful when they were initially working with me and shortly after their job was completed (like within a week or two), but I had problems months later- and within my warranty period. I reached out to them multiple times and nobody had the decency to get back in touch with me. Paint is peeling, cabinets are cracking. I have texted them, left voice messages, sent emails and actually got one of the workers on the phone who assured me Scott or Carol would be in touch - which guess what- never happened. I called Scott to schedule an estimate for our double vanity bathroom cabinets and got a quick response which nowadays seems impossible. I accepted the estimate and Scott actually squeezed me in when I wanted which was also great. Rudy came out that next week and did a fantastic job on our cabinets which now look brand new!
