I had a wonderful experience. Vic, Vaughan and Alex worked so hard to refinish my kitchen cabinets, which were a mess. They were quick, two days of sanding and painting in my house (cabinets and drawers were sanded and painted at their shop). In less than a week, my kitchen was done. The quality is amazing; not only did they sand paint the cabinet, doors and drawers, they also sanded and painted the back sides of the doors and inside all of the drawers. Extremely high-quality beautiful craftsmanship. Lovely people to work with they were so kind. I have another project in mind and plan to call them again. I Highly recommend their services. read more

Our kitchen cabinets needed some love for YEARS. We were hesitant to do anything about it because we knew the previous owner had the cabinets custom made and there were a lot of quirks and intricacies that might make the job hard. We just wanted to replace the cabinet doors. When we replaced our double ovens, seeing the peeling, discolored doors above them, we knew we had to finally bite the bullet. We got bids from three different companies. One gave us "the crazy rate" (extremely high because the job was going to be a pain, but if we accepted it would make it "worth it"). We didn't go with that guy. We went with Vic and are so glad we did. He was up for the challenge and the cost was reasonable. read more

Warning. These guys likely delete bad reviews. Their prices do not justify the quality of work and lack of professionalism. My project was a refinishing of flush kitchen cabinets and requested they install soft closing hinges. The quality of work was decent so I'm giving 2 stars (although paint started chipping immediately in some places). They forgot to install soft closing hinges which I specifically requested and increased the price of the project for, but then lied that I didn't request it. They then didn't measure the handles and knobs on the cabinet and install them all completely crooked. They then lied again and got defensive, saying it was the holes in the old cabinets that were crooked. First they had to drill new holes to accommodate the new handles I bought so that's an excuse and even if that's the case, a professional shouldn't be satisfied with shoddy work like this. I got them to eventually fix this, but they were completely unprofessional and upset the entire time. For the cabinets they had to fix, they reinstalled them very sloppily in annoyance and they have been misaligned ever since. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

Vache and Vanik just finished refinishing our kitchen cabinets and I could not be happier with the result. The cabinets look beautiful. They were careful, reliable and did everything they said they would do. In addition to refinishing the cabinets, they painted the kitchen ceiling and installed new drawer slides. And excellent value, meticulous and completed the work on schedule. I would absolutely recommend Cabinet Refinishing Specialist. read more

Had my orange kitchen cabinets refinished in BM Pale Oak and they came out beautiful. I love my kitchen again. The brothers and Alex did a great job. Professional, thorough, and easy to work with. They sealed off the kitchen to contain dust, cleaned up daily, and finished everything within a week as promised. Workmanship was really good. I thought about DIY-ing this project but I'm so glad I didn't. They brought sample boards during the estimate process so I could actually see the finish before committing, and they even accommodated my last-minute color change with no issues. I also asked to switch my knobs to pulls and they took care of it. Everything included/excluded was clearly explained before the project started, so there were no surprises. Not the cheapest in town, but definitely worth it. read more

I never heard back from him after I sent him the photos for a quote for my kitchen cabinets

I contacted Vic and he immediately made time to give me an estimate. He explained the process in detail and showed me photographs of his past work. Feeling satisfied with his presentation, the price, and his stellar reviews, I then immediately secured his services. He then arrived and removed the doors and shelves, which he took to his shop to paint. He then returned with his brother, Vic, and worker Alex and they got to work. They sealed up the work area completely to minimize dust and they cleaned up each day after themselves. They finished the job in about 3 1/2 days and they even went above and beyond and did additional work at no extra fee. They are exceptional! Extremely professional, meticulous, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. I am 100% happy with the outcome. There are other painters out there, but Vic solely specializes in painting cabinets and they have it down to a science, so don't waste your time with anyone else and hire Vic. It is rare to find a true craftsman these days, but Vic is exactly that. After an appliance installation company damaged our kitchen cabinets, we weren't sure they could ever be restored to their original state. Vic didn't just repair them; he approached the project like an artist. His attention to detail and the quality of the refinishing were impeccable. Beyond the talent, his work ethic is top-notch--he was always on time, charged a very fair price, and provided one of the best service experiences I've had in years. Cabinet Refinishing Specialist - The Only Choice! Vick & Von are absolutely fantastic! They just completed refinishing all the cabinets in my kitchen, bathroom, pantry, and linen area -- and the results are stunning. The whole process took less than 3 weeks! They also recommended Ed from EK Marble Granite for my countertops, and he was just as amazing. What really impressed me was the constant communication between them. They worked seamlessly together and gave great advice every step of the way. My cabinets were over 50 years old, and now they look brand new. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Was lucky to find Vic and his company a few days after the Altadena fire. I was too close and need to have my cabinets refinished. Vic was on time with the meet and greet and send me a bid in a timely manner. I wanted to keep the wood finish on my maple verses painting. They do both. His numbers fit my budget and they went to work within days of my approval. His team came in and carefully did all the removal and were in and out in lets than a hour. Very clean job. 1 week later he was ready to reinstall. I wasn't and asked him a few more days so my granite guy could finish his job. No problem. Once Vic showed up for the reinstalling, once again, in and out a couple of hours. Doors and drawers came back all sides done and better than new. Super happy. Highly recommend. Such a better alternative to replacing everything. read more

So I found Vic the owner through my daughter., she used him to re finish a bathroom cabinet and we were so impressed with the quality we decided to hire him to refinish our kitchen cabinets. My cabinets are 23 years old and maple. He sent a couple of guys to prep the kitchen,( tape, sand and prime) and he took all the doors with him to work on in his shop. He returned maybe less than a week later to re install my doors and quite honestly they look brand new. His quality of work is beyond good and they are very professional, no mess at all. We have a custom kitchen that was badly damaged by kids. Paint coming off all over the place. Vic made it look like it was brand new again. It literally looks like a brand new kitchen again! High quality workmanship. Does a very good job of cleaning up after the job. Good communication. Some tips if you're looking into this: 1. This is WAY more cost effective than replacing a kitchen. 2. If you get a different white than your original white cabinets, make sure true rest of the white in the kitchen matches or else you will have multiple shades of white. I didn't refinish my shelves but they're slightly different white than cabinets. No one else will notice but if I could do it again, I'd make everything in the kitchen the same white. 3. Paint smells! Make sure to fully seal off the kitchen from the rest of the house if possible. read more

Our house has a circular wood-paneled turret with several decades/layers of old paint. The old paint had dried droplets and looked messy overall, so we wanted to remove the old paint before re-painting. After getting several overpriced quotes for simply stripping the old paint, we called Cabinet Refinishing Specialist. Not only was his price for sanding away the old paint reasonable, but it included priming and re-painting. They completed the jb from A-Z ALL for a reasonable price AND ahead of schedule. They did a GORGEOUS JOB (see before and after photos). In sum, they were professional, friendly, very reasonably priced, and did the job from A-Z ahead of schedule.
