Originally, I left a 2-star review because I was pretty unsatisfied with the work they did. They didn't remove old caulking before applying the new one, and the glaze itself had 3 issues with it: some weird black spots, a section where the glaze dripped down and had hardened, and an exposed part of the tub that wasn't patched correctly. Also, the technician didn't speak English that well, so it was very difficult to communicate with him. The owner reached out to me and wanted to make it right. I wasn't expecting this since usually companies will just take your money and disappear but apparently if you just tell this company about it, they'll try to make it right. I took a few weeks to do a back and forth with them about the work that would be done, and they were very polite and professional throughout the whole thing. The front office was awesome with scheduling and answering questions. The same technician was assigned to the fixes, but I requested a different technician be assigned and they obliged. The new tech did a good job, and I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. There was some overspray again, but not a huge deal as the black spots and the exposed part of the tub were properly addressed. I found out that one of the issues I originally had (the black spots) were caused by my shower leaking and water dropped onto the glaze as it was drying. Seems like the first tech didn't put a cover over my shower head, but this new tech did. He also spoke English better than the other tech, so no translation app was needed. During this second fix-up visit, the owner himself came on-site to make sure everything was done correctly. Overall, I'm satisfied with the work that was done. It seems even if they do mess up, they'll eventually fix it. If the second tech was the one who did the work first, this would be a 5* review. read more

We hired this company to reglaze the bathtub and caulk the shower floor. Instead, they painted my expensive stone shower floor white without first confirming or obtaining my approval. Please be aware that the project manager whose name Jose twists facts to his advantage to protect himself, even when there is written proof to the contrary. There was no apology. Instead, I was threatened that he would "pull the technician" simply because I raised concerns about damage to my property. There was no communication on site regarding the procedure from the project manager. As a matter of fact he didn't even show up on site. Ultimately, the issue was corrected and the white paint was removed from the stone flooring. However, this only occurred because the technician himself (Christian) was a very kind, professional, and pleasant young man who took responsibility and managed to fix the problem. Without his efforts, and given the Jose's behavior (project manager), this matter would have ended up in small claims court. Despite the final outcome, the way the situation was handled left an extremely negative impression. Rather than taking responsibility for the mistake, Jose argued with us, insulted me by calling me "mental," and attempted to shift blame instead of acknowledging his error. This is in no way acceptable or professional conduct. Instead of reassuring us that the issue could be fixed, Jose immediately resorted to threats and insults. His lack of professionalism and poor client relations are alarming. This company is careless with clients' property and then attempts to make the client feel at fault. You cannot trust a business that behaves this way. Stay away. read more

Fortunately, the first two things did not occur, but the bathtub certainly needed some surgery. Beware! TL;DR: Our glaze started cracking 2 days after we started using our tub again. There is zero assessment before they do the work and if your tub ends up ruined, they DO NOT accept responsibility and ghost you. I contacted Simply Reglaze a few months ago to inquire about reglazing my old tub. I sent photos and asked for a consultation. No need, they said, and rushed to schedule an appointment. A kind tech came over. He didn't tell us until AFTER sanding the tub down that our drain had rust in it. He suggested sanding that off and glazing the drain as well. The project was already underway so we went with his suggestion. After the 48hr drying period, the glaze around the drain began to crack. I contacted the company and they sent the same technician back. He offered to redo the work, but said the only way to ensure no cracking is to replace the entire tub drain, which would be part of a much bigger, more expensive project. Simply Reglaze could have EASILY and honestly told us this before they messed with our tub. Instead, they took our money, left us with a much worse tub and don't answer messages requesting a refund. Get an assessment before you hire these people! And be prepared for them to ghost you if anything goes wrong. read more

My husband and I bought a house in November 2023 and I hired Simply Reglaze to reglaze the bathtub and kitchen sink since the house was built in the 60's and it appeared that the tub and sink were not well cleaned in those years. We couldn't afford to replace the sink or tub (because of they way they're built into the tile surrounding them), so reglazing felt like the best option and the reviews for this company are great! Within a month, I absolutely regretted my choice to reglaze. I don't think this company did anything wrong, and they were very nice and easy to work with (I never met them, just coordinated over text). I just think the reglazing material does not hold up well, and it is so sensitive as to be nearly impossible to clean well (since you can't use most products or any rough sponges or cleaners). The tub and sink looked amazing right after they were reglazed (images included). But within a month, the glaze was scratched (likely by the painter who painted our kitchen cabinets). I asked Simply Reglaze about redoing the glaze but they said the scratch wasn't covered, which I understand. But a few weeks later I noticed that dawn dish soap, coffee, and really any food or beverage that came in contact with the glaze stains it. We clean our sink thoroughly after dinner every night, but nothing gets the stains out, and the whole sink has become an off-white/yellow-ish color (even in the non-food stained areas). I texted Simply Reglaze about this but they never responded. More of the glaze has chipped off on different parts of the sink since then and I have no idea why. The bathtub has very similar issues. We clean regularly with dawn dish soap mixed with white vinegar and a no-scratch sponge but the sides of the tub look brownish and dirty no matter what we do. Basically, if you use your kitchen sink for doing dishes, it will stain. And I guess if you use your shower, it will stain too. I wish I had left the original material and just found a way to deep clean it instead of going for what I thought was an easy, less expensive (but still $700 total!) fix. read more

Sent Simply Reglaze a photo and video of tub that needed to be reglazed and received a quote right away. I knew there was some rust damage, which was an addition cost to repair, but when Cristian arrived, he noticed the problem was worse than what they saw in the video. I was told the tub needed to be replaced, but was given the option to fill in the hole/crack and have it reglazed in order to save a few thousand dollars for the time being. I was able to make a few calls before agreeing to the temporary fix. They did not pressure me into making a decision which I appreciated.
