It started off fine. I asked them to hang a door, and they asked for pictures of the old door. I…read moresent those, they quoted and scheduled the job. Great! But when they showed up on the installation day, they announced that they had quoted it wrong because the door was a different size than they had imagined. They had to select a whole new date, and they raised the price by about 50% (for a door 1 foot taller than it was in their imagination). They also mentioned, for the first time, that my initial price had been "discounted" because they had included staining, which I had declined on my signed work order - where it was shown as a separate line item with its own price. No sign of a discount anywhere. Anyway, after some haggling we agreed on a new price and a new date. The guy who hung the door was actually great, but then the stain guy did not show up. I was told he had an emergency and would come early the next morning. We agreed on 8:30 AM. No sign of him at all until just before 10 AM. The first full sentence he spoke to me was a suggestion that maybe we should wait until the *following* morning to do it (Sunday). I said I didn't want to devote a third day to this, and that we should just forge ahead and get it done. I had an any case already canceled everything else I had planned for Saturday just to make sure I would be available for these guys. He then announced that he had to go get supplies, even though the team had now seen the door at least twice previously. I asked how long that would take, and learned that it should be about a 45 minute trip. 2 1/2 hours later and no sign of the guy. It seemed clear when he arrived that he didn't want the job, and as I write this my expectation is that he is not coming back at all. At this point, I don't think I want him to. It would be hard to trust the quality of his work. To make matters worse, there appears to be no way of communicating with the company so that we can be sure we are all on the same page. The office line does not pick up, and emails have gone unanswered. All this despite agreeing to a far higher price than initially quoted, giving them the stain work that they insisted they wanted in order to give even that price, and then devoting several hours on each of two consecutive days to allowing them to do said stain work only to have them do no such work at all. Based on other reviews, I realize this is not typical. But the fact that they appear to have no good way of managing the situation when there's a problem with one of their workers does not reflect well on the company as a whole. UPDATE: The guy who hung the door (whose work had been great) took over the job and handled the stain. He was able to get back out fairly soon, and though the overall time commitment to this job on my part was unacceptable it seems to have been largely due to this one fellow, the original stainer. I imagine they will take steps to prevent it from happening again. And the oversight in quoting the job properly, while hard to understand, was probably just that - an oversight. Raising from 2 stars to 4, though I can't see my way to 5 given all of the above.

After interviewing several companies, I found these two to be refreshingly communicative and caring about their work. They are young, honest, friendly, have learned the family business and know they can produce excellent results. At the first meeting, they shared a photo library of their projects and explained, step by step, how the process works. You are assured of the time line and use of the best quality products. They strive for professional results, and they deliver! We had our 24 year old, antiqued, off white, acid washed cabinets refinished to a stunning white, and the whole kitchen brightened and looks brand new. They offered to complete a color sample on a drawer front for me to live with before approval of the color choice, a necessity in my view and not something others happily offered. The finish looks factory baked and they succeeded in correcting existing imperfections to make it all look perfect. They use the highest quality products which makes their finish look terrific. They repaired a few random things along the way at no extra charge. These two couldn't have been more helpful and eager to please. This was a big and long project, but absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this company for fair pricing, excellent and friendly communication and above all, the best possible outcome! The best! Thank you. It was a complete pleasure working with you.

Really appreciated their brining a laser level to show me where the wall was not straight and where it bowed which affects the installation. Richard has all his tools organized neatly and they carry all the right equipment. When they nicked the end panel he was also Honest and told me about it which is not something many contractors will do. They will hope you won't notice. It says a lot about their honesty and integrity which is why I highly recommend them over using the task rabbit installers for ikea. In addition to their very fair pricing !!!
