I gave this company more than a week to have the manager or owner call me. Since they haven't, I will have to express my extreme disappointment via a review. I reached out to this moving company because I have a children's theater company and I needed help moving out some set pieces that were really hard for my volunteers to lift. I spoke to Jay and was given a quote based on my list of the largest items. I did my best to estimate but said that there were some other items as well - smaller and easy to lift like tubs, etc. I even sent photos via text and stated "I don't have pictures of everything, but those are some of the bigger things." He said it was great. After confirming, during which time he stated via text "We pride ourselves on being a reliable and efficient moving company that will take great care of your belongings and make your move as stress-free as possible." - I was sent a contract. I immediately notified him that there were errors on the contract - there were 3 stops - a pick-up, a drop-off, and a second drop-off. It had them in the wrong order. It also said the wrong time. He resent it and it was still incorrect. He said it was fine as it was right in their system. The move was scheduled for a Monday - on Friday I texted to confirm. It was then he tried to change the time from 2:45pm to 1pm. I told him I could not do that because it was not my space so the time was based on when we were allowed in. He said no problem. Then later that night, he called me to again ask me if we could change the time. I said we couldn't...he said OK. Then on Monday, the day of the move, he texted me AGAIN asking if we could do earlier. I said AGAIN..no. He then calls as says that they will only be charging me a flat fee, i.e. the price I am paying for 3 guys for 3 hours is all I will pay. I hang up and say to my husband, "What is the catch?" Well, the catch is when they show up, there are only two men. So now everything is harder, and slower. And on top of it, I am paying for 3 people! I call immediately and I am told that there must be some miscommunication between his men and he will call me back...even though the men on site said no...this was how it was arranged. They start moving things...after an hour plus, TWO items have been moved. I call Jay because of course, he hasn't called back. And he goes "ok, we will give you $50 off." I said no, you sent two men, I will pay for two men. Let me speak to a manager or owner. He said hold on...comes back and says no one is available. He tells me one of the guys on site can OK a price change...what? OK, so I walk over to the one guy and I said OK you can approve a price change, I am going to pay for two of you because there are two of you. He says OK. On the move continues...taking forever because well; there are only two of them and these things are heavy! While they finish the heavy things, I get some students to help me move out as much of the lighter things as possible, some that I had even listed for the guys to move - a desk, tubs of costumes, etc. They then have the nerve to tell me that there are more things than I listed, so now they have to charge me more. I was like - are you serious?!? These small things that I can lift myself! And how about the stuff I moved that you WERE supposed to move? I flipped out (did I mention I was also deathly ill with a stomach bug?) - and now Jay calls me and says the same thing. I said are you kidding me? I forgot to mention a few chairs and you are really going to try to charge me more? If we had 3 people none of this would even matter! I asked AGAIN to speak to an owner or manager. He says no one is available. I said try again...now he says "oh, well I am a sales rep and a manager." And he also asks why do I want to speak to a manager? Just to not pay more? I mean...what the hell is going on? I said no - because this is the most ridiculous, unprofessional experience I have ever had. I can't even believe this was supposed to make my life easier. So finally, we finish...4 hours later. I pay the price and I give them a nice tip. But to this moment...no manager. Terrible, terrible business. read more
