First time coming in to Expo nails and never again. My sister went in to get a gel manicure for her 18th birthday. She had the only male manicurist at the time. He argued with her about the nail shape SHE wanted. He then asked another older Asian woman, who then took my sisters hand and shaped her nail and asked if that was better. My sister said yes. This review would not be written if my sisters manicurist was as sweet and considerate as this woman. Instead he shaped her nails and then put WAY too much product to leave her nails, especially her thumb nail over bulging and noticeably ugly. My sister is too kind to be confrontational, but I told her she needs to learn to speak her mind with jerks who take money with no real attention to the detail of their work. Every single time I go and get my nails done, I always leave Expo Nails satisfied! They always exceed expectations!! I recommend making an appointment because they tend to get busy. All of the nail techs are amazing but I always make my appointments with Mindy. She's very precise & does an excellent job. If you show her a picture of a design she will copy it exactly how it is on the picture to the best of her ability. The prices are fair and the jobs that they do are amazing. I'm a first-timer at Expo Nails and definitely plan on becoming a regular! Place is nice and clean and the stations are organized. I was able to secure a last minute nail appointment today with Steven and I'm super happy with the results, all things considered! I came in with pretty jacked up nails done by a nearby salon that I visited last weekend. The look on Steven's face when he saw my nails was priceless. It read disgust, confusion, and sympathy. Lol. I think he hated them more than I did - so much that he had to show his coworker! Anyway, he did an outstanding job reshaping my nails even though he probably preferred just starting over completely! Lol. Definitely gonna get a fresh new set of claws on my next visit. I know he won't disappoint. Also got a gel pedi with Jessica. She was quiet, yet attentive, and did a pretty decent job. My only feedback for her would be to take (just a little) more time making sure all nails look the same and are evenly shaped. My sisters, mom, and I have been coming to this nail salon since 2018 and we've had nothing but great experiences. They have fair pricing and have always done an amazing job. I've gone to other salons in the area here and there but always find myself comparing them to Expo nails, and eventually I regret not going to Expo. I usually get acrylics (base price I think is about $40 but can go up with design) and I would discuss this when you tell them what you want, they are very transparent and honest about pricing. Whenever Mai does designs for our nails we always get so many compliments. She is really good at what she does and also has cool recommendations on how to make it look even better. I've also gotten pedicures ($18 starting) , and facial waxing ($14 for eyebrows and upper lip) done here as well and I've always gotten exactly what I wanted. I don't think that some of the negative, clearly biased and frankly racist and ignorant reviews on here should turn you away from a genuinely fantastic business! read more

Me and my daughter got full set of nails, we were having trouble deciding what color or design we wanted (I am very picky) and long story short I end up letting my nail artist decide and it was the best decision. I don't know how he did it but he picked 3 colors and 2 of them were exactly what I wanted. And my girl Mindy straight up charged against the grossness: bravely took a legit grater to my callouses, very carefully trimmed my cuticles--no cuts and beautifully shaped my toes! The shape, thickness, the white tip. (each nail was uneven) Not a good job AT ALL. Me and my sister were the only people in there too. Towards the end, everything felt rushed. Another girl walked in just to get her nails taken off so my technician was back and forth. I didn't understand that situation because there were 2 other workers walking around. Unless they didn't know how to take off nails....I don't know. But I walked in with high expectations because the last time I came with my sister they did an amazing job on her....Ended up leaving unhappy.
